Anybody else really excited about this? As much as I loved the earlier commemorative figures, I always felt they were overpriced. With these being at about $35 a pop, I think it's pretty reasonable. I'm looking forward to Perceptor more, since I haven't had him since I was a kid.

I am looking forward to both! Never had a Perceptor, and haven't had any Insecticons since i was a kid.
Has there been a time frame for release? |

I think the Insecticons are supposed to come with their chrome weapons. Am I right?

I actually have all four G1 versions, but I'm still looking forward to getting both of them. Especially since Shrapnel and Kickback have some chrome wear on their weapons and my Bombshell has a broken horn (looks good on display, falls apart with play).
Yes, if I remember the pics from Botcon correctly.

I'm excited about Perceptor, I got a set of those high quality KO Insecticons a few years back when they came out. Although I'm kind of on the fence about getting some more to troop build them, I've always wanted an army of Insecticon clones

Welcome to the Toyark, dude!
You could always make the KO versions the clones and make the re-issues the "originals".

According to this thread from TFW, Perceptor's gun will not be spring loaded. I personally have no problem with this considering it is probably because they want to maintain the original length of the missiles.

Besides, the SLM is an over-used gimmick these days anyway.

Has anybody else getting lucky with these figures? My local TRU has had a bunch of them sitting on the shelves. I picked up perceptor but have yet to open him.

I snagged the Insecticons, but have yet to go back and get Perceptor (money issues and TRU is an out-of-the-way store).
I love the Insecticons, they are great. Tight joints, beautifully shiny chrome guns and parts, rubsigns that actually work - they're awesome. My only complaint is that the foot stickers on Bombshell ("Hardshell") didn't want to stay put for very long. Hopefully, a couple of years in his box as a Rhino beetle will fix that. Anyone else notice that on the inside packaging, Kickback and Sharpnel ("Sharpshot") have their names switched?
