Vangelus just wanted his package to arrive by the podcast. But due to heavy postal traffic, he could not get it until the day afterwards. Can Omegus, Lupis, and Aaron handle being the punching bag of his podcast-long childish tantrum?

Anyone interested in buying vintage G1 items beware, there are new high quality knock offs out on the market. The latest in the KO world are carded G1 Constructicon figures, and carded Micromaster teams.
We urge our readers to use caution when purchasing vintage items on the secondary market. Make sure to educate yourselves on the product and be aware whether the item you are interested in purchasing is an authentic item or a knock off. |

Less than 24 hours after the BotCon 2010 announcement, the Dolphin Hotel at Walt Disney World is nearly booked up. Check out the email that went out to members earlier today
Response has been incredible! In less than 24 hours the room block is at 185% of capacity. The hotel will continue to take reservations until there is no availability left and then we will look at overflow properties outside of the Swan and Dolphin complex. Currently there is availability at the Dolphin for every night except Wednesday the 23rd and Thursday the 24th. HOWEVER, there is plenty of space still available at the Swan for all nights. The Swan hotel is about 100 yards from the Dolphin and they share the same swimming pool complex. So, if the reservationist needs to put you in the Swan, don't worry, they are right next to each other and it will only take about 2 minutes longer to walk to the convention center. Anyone contemplating attending the 2010 convention at Disney World should try to make their arrangements as soon as possible, because the rooms are going fast! Head on over to BotCon.com for the link to hotel registration. |

TVShowsonDVD reports that information has started to leak out regarding the last volume of Shout! Factory's Transformers Generation 1 DVD sets. Unlike the Rhino release, which split Season 3 (and the three Rebirth episodes which make up Season 4) across two sets, Shout! will release all 33 episodes of the final season as a single set. A listing has gone up on Amazon.com with a tentative release of April 20 2010 retailing at $29.93 ($20.99 through Amazon).
Also be sure to check out the cover art, which shows Rodimus Prime lighting the Autobot's Darkest Hour, much to the chagrin of Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge. |

We now have our first look at a three page preview of line art from the upcoming Transformers: Nefarious #1 thanks to Comic Book Resources.
Nefarious will serve as the comic book sequel to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film, and is written by Simon Furman with art by Carlos Magno. Expect to see this latest IDW Publishing title in comic book stores in March 2010. |

Update: There is also a set of carded Micromaster teams mistakenly labelled as KOs from this retailer. But they have been confirmed in the past by other retailers and by in-hand reviews as old unsold legitimate G1 stock recently discovered in storage. |

Tfctoy has put Lockdown from Revenge of The Fallen up for auction on Ebay! Inspired by the original Lockdown from Transformers Animated, Lockdown combines the colors and overall look of Animated Lockdown with movie styling! Here's what his bio states:
LOCKDOWN was hired to hunt down and destroy AUTOBOT RATCHET, and that's what he aims to do. Once he's accepted a contract, nothing short of total deactivation can stop him. His services don't come cheap, but he's the best there is at what he does. LOCKDOWN has never lost a target, and he doesn't intend for this to be the first time. This figure is expected to arrive stateside in early 2010. Click on the title bar to see more! |

We have received further information from the Singapore retailer who leaked the news that the next Masterpiece Transformer might be a "ghost" version of Masterpiece Starscream. The new information indicates that the retailer was the victim of a prank by a Japanese contact.
We repeat: Ghost Starscream will not be the next Masterpiece Transformer. The previous information was a joke between friends that was misunderstood. |

2005 Boards member Optimus747 has kindly shared an early Christmas treat with us - a pictorial review of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class Lockdown. How does this expatriot from the Transformers Animated series hold up when compared to the rest of the Revenge of the Fallen series? And how does he compare to Animated Lockdown, the character who inspired him? Check out Optimus747's review and images by clicking on the discuss button below to find out!

Gameinformer has updated with the latest information on Transformers: War for Cybertron. The latest update focuses on Starscream, Megatron's lieutenant and Decepticon Air Commander. Gameinformer reports that the game will cover Starscream's motivation for seeking power among the Decepticons, and Megatron keeping such a blatantly treacherous character around. The article boasts that the Decepticon campaign's first mission will chronicle the first meeting between Starscream and Megatron, and that Starscream believes that neither Optimus Prime nor Megatron are keeping Cybertron's best interests in mind.

Sprocket of the Allspark has posted a scan of a Japanese advert for a set of super deformed (large head on small body) Transformers Animated keychains. The set is made up of the five main Autobots - Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Bulkhead and Ratchet - and the Decepticon Starscream. Of particular interest as pointed out by The Allspark's DrSpengler is that Bulkhead is to be known as "Ironhide" in Japan. Where does that leave the actual Ironhide? (My bets on "Armorhide")

The end of 2009 is nearly here, so Yahoo! posted up an article of the top domestic-grossing movies of the year (seeing as Avatar and Sherlock Holmes have just been released and are the last two big movies of the year).
Fans of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen should be estatic to know that the movie took in top honors, beating out the likes of Harry Potter, Avatar, and Star Trek to be the #1 US grossing movie of 2009. The spread between #1 (Transformers) and #2 (Harry Potter) was pretty wide, about $100 million wide, to be exact. While "top grossing" doesn't always mean "best", it's still cool to note that our little robot-hobby captivated audiences and drew in the big bucks. A huge departure from the year 1986 and the first Transformers release on the big screen, no? Check out the article by clicking here! |

Check out Game Informer's latest updates for the upcoming Transformers War for Cybertron game! All month long Game Informer has been running a Transformers portal with information, sneak peeks, and interviews pertaining to the upcoming title by High Moon. TFW2005 has been keeping track of these items and collecting them in one handy thread on our forums for discussion. You can find that thread here: The War for Cybertron - Discussion and Web Round Up.
Everything that Game Informer has provided is linked in the first post of that thread, and most recently Game Informer has treated us to two videos. The first is a time lapse video allowing viewers the special opportunity to watch the creation of some Optimus Prime concept art. You can watch this here: Optimus Primed: A Time Lapse Look at an Autobot's Creation. The most recent item is a short discussion with game director Matt Tieger about his enthusiasm for the project and we also get some shots at some concept art during the interview. You can watch this here: Tackling The Transformers Homeworld. Stay tuned for the final Game Informer update which is listed for tomorrow, and make sure to take part in the ongoing discussion in our forums! |
