When I first read Invincible Iron Man #25 and it got to the Armor reveal page, I hade one of those "Wtf am I reading moments." Matt Fraction's entire run hasn't been all that good.

Same here. I still wouldn't mind a 6 inch Marvel Legend version of the new armor. I'd also love to get a 6 inch Rescue and Bathany Cabe in her gold and silver war machine support armor. There, It's not totally off topic anymore.

If they changed the head a bit, Rescue wouldn't be that bad. I just want a 6 inch Iron Women for my Iron Man collection. Tony is a Ladies man, he should have at least one women in armor around him.

Hmm... Didn't think about that. But I did get to go back today, and while they still had nothing the labels on the pegs said '4/30/2010' which was the last time I was there. (I'm assuming that was the day they printed and placed the label)
So unless they sold out of the figures the day they put them on the shelves, it's more than likely they just haven't put them out yet. Again, I'll have to check back later. I REALLY want to have these figures. |

I'm not gonna let myself believe I won't see them, they're movie toys, those are almost never that hard to find. If the movie comes and goes after a few months and I still don't see them, then maybe I'll worry. No need to give up just yet. Just because a Wal Mart employee tells you something, you can't be sure the information is accurate, believe me, they will say anything to get you to go away, and make their life easier. Target, different story, if you have a DCPI number, they can find (or not find) the items. They equip all their employees with stock knowledge and keep a tight inventory and back room, they know exactly what shelf it's on if they have it. Any of the employees that have access to a scanner gun can do it. With Wally World, it seems most of them don't know how to search for stock, or even operate the dang scanner gun...unless you happen to get someone in charge of that area. If you do give up, I recommend making friends and asking someone to hook you up, just I would recommend offering a little extra on top of cost plus shipping, $3-5 gas money to show that person a thank you for their time, effort, and gas money is more than reasonable, and now you have someone who both looks out for you, and in return, you look out for them, if it is possible for you to do so. win/win I have made a lot of friends by doing this myself. I will buy at least a couple extra of each when I find them. And thanks to those of you who already do this |

What really put me off to the armor was the mouth the faceplate. I guess the shape of the head too.. So you're right.

And we would appreciate it if all you guys can keep this thread on topic, if someone is bothering you, don't put yourself in a situation for an infraction because someone else is posting flamebait. The ignore list is there for a reason, if you don't want to see/deal with someones posts, add them to your ignore list, you won't see them. Please keep this on topic or it will be closed. Quote:
Also, if you are frustrated and having a hard time finding these, trust me, I know, I am having trouble too.
Let's try not to let that get the best of us. What I don't want to see anymore is people holding it over others heads that they have them, etc. you're just asking for trouble at that point. Quote:

On a related note, I checked again at a few Walmarts. Super and Regular. The peg hooks where Ironman 6" hung last time are gone. This happened at several Walmarts so this could be an indicator of limited status of figures. I also asked Walmart employees and they gave me the same answer as last time. I also saw Iron Monger & Mark 1 Armor 3 3/4" at Tru. I was very surprised to see these figures pop up. I thought that wave was done. I left them though. Paint job was messed up anyway. Do any of you guys collect minimates ? Tru had the Ironman 2 ones. I saw a few at Tru with Exclusives. Passed on that as well. Nicely made though. Last edited by fordjuse; 05-03-2010 at 01:06 AM.. |

With you on this one. I called every store in Southeast LA County AND in Westminster, BP, and Cerritos and nothing!! The stores that did have them only got 6! 6 freakin' figures and of course they were gone!! They never even made it to the shelves. Had to finally get a WM and Mark VI from someone here on the boards!

On a related note. The 3 3/4 War Machines are GONE all of a sudden. I used to see them all the time at many different stores. I decided to pick up the minimates. These are COOL guys. I picked up War Machine and Ironman set. |

I still see allot of 3.75 war machines in stores by me and also reading wave 4 its included in there as well so I'm sure will see more. they just might be making room for the new waves that are hitting stores.

I have a few minimates from both DC and Marvel, these are some cool figures if you like this miniature style of figures. Just had another thought, does anyone know if Best Buy will be doing anything regarding the release? I know that when justice League: New Frontier came out they had an exclusive lil figure that came with the DVD. It [figure] now shares the same space as the 6" Hal Jordan that I got in clearance from Kay Bee Toys right as they where closing for good : ( |

I was able to find some of these today(FINALLY) in a Walmart that doesn't seem to be on priority for receiving stuff, but every now and then we luck out at. Saw almost full pegs, 3 pegs, enough room for 3-5 or more figures each. I imagine they will probably not last long, but I think we are going to see a ton of these.
It's a movie line, and a sequel to a big movie at that. Will there be any after Christmas? I doubt it, but I think until fall, and starting a few weeks from now, these should be relatively easy to find. BTW the figures are well worth it but in my excitement I forgot to overlook the Mark VI I picked up. Only later after unboxing did I find out that his face has scratches all over it. Does not look good. I'm keeping mine but it's something to watch out for. These are otherwise, the best Iron Man 2 figures our right now. I got the Marvel Select versions this past weekend, of the War Machine and Mark VI at my LCS, and these 6"er's are better. The Marvel Selects have arguably better sculpts but the Hasbro figures are better as figures, have swappable hands, and for the price, are worth it. Why they are better? I have a lot less to complain about with the Hasbro figures. Selects are worth getting so long as you know what you are getting into. While movie War Machine has been the best figure so far in each Iron Man 2 toyline, the rare exception is the Marvel Select line. The reason I also bring this up, is because some of you may consider picking one up while you wait for the 6" to hit your local Walmart. The Select is not a better figure.
