TFCC members should be recieving an email regarding a test for Botcon's online registration. The email reads:
Here is the latest update. Even though we are in the middle of GIJoeCon right now, we have continued to work on the registration system. In order to do the final testing, we need your help. We have posted a test event at Registration System. Please go to this site and walk through the registration system. Feel free to try variation you find. It is very complicated code but the interface is very simple. If you get a cold fusion error and the Accufind screen comes up, you don't need to send in an email as that will generate an automatic email to the programer. If you have comments or suggestions please use the email link at the bottom of the page. You can put anything in the credit card and note that it will throw a warning that your order is not finished. This is normal as it is not processing credit cards, so don't use a real one as the secure socket is not turned on. Please note that IN NO WAY are you registering for BotCon with this test event. It would also help if as many people as possible could try to register at the same time so, if you can, please try at 2pm Central Time on Sunday, we would appreciate it! Next week we will make the final corrections and put the live site up IF there are no major issues. We will not be disclosing what time, date or the url until it is up. We will send out an email and a Tweet. One thing we do know about the classes is currently this version will allow you to pick the class both days, which we don't allow. The final version should have this corrected. Thanks for your patience! Brian |

The on-again, off-again Device Label Broadblast (also known as Blaster or Broadcast) has once again been delayed. This unfortunate news is just the latest delay for this toy, who transforms into a working USB hub. Originally intended for a release in November of 2009, Device Label Blaster is now listed for a July release on Japanese retailer Bic Camera's website. Hopefully this means July will be the month when this long-delayed item finally gets released, but as always please watch this space for more updates as they become available.

Headrobots and High End TFs have announced a new, exclusive recolor of the popular Headrobot Serpent! "Snake" is a very attractive dark blue version of Headrobot Serpent, modeled in homage to Cobra Commander who appeared in one Season 3 episode of Transformers as "Old Snake". This Headrobot has a new feature - he features additional guns (also to be included in the other Headrobot recolors) which can be mounted on Snake in snake mode, or held in the hand of whoever's body he becomes the head to. Limited to just 300 pieces, this release comes on a very appealing GI Joe inspired card back. Check out all the images by clicking on the title of this story, and place your order at HighEndTFs.

We've told the Transformers Fans quite a while back, that Transformers: Cyber Missions #4, #5 and #6 were out to the public.
But the #5th episode was only available to Canada at that time. Now, Hasbro has released the Cyber Missions Episode #5 for the rest of the world to enjoy (and to Canada too). Visit Hasbro's Official Transformers Website to enjoy the video. Don't forget to Discuss the episode at the Thread. |

Hasbro announced the TRANSFORMERS HALL OF FAME – Nominee #1.
TRANSFORMERS fans around the world were asked, who should be inducted into TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame. Voting will start on Monday, May 10th with 5 candidates nominated by Fans to choose from. Fan’s choice nominee #1 is: SOUNDWAVE “SOUNDWAVE superior. Other DECEPTICONS inferior.” SOUNDWAVE’s origins are a mystery to all including MEGATRON. His distinct ability to symbiotically partner with MINI-CONS (aka Deployers) grants him an ability to go where others can’t and get what others want. SOUNDWAVE has had many partners throughout his career with the DECEPTICONS, but his favorites remain LASERBEAK and RAVAGE. Having deleted his emotional programs to allow the easier and faster processing of information, SOUNDWAVE has become a calculating, focused, and emotionless warrior. This has allowed him to climb the ranks of the DECEPTICONS. Unquestionably loyal to MEGATRON, who looks to SOUNDWAVE to be his eyes and ears even among the DECEPTICONS. SOUNDWAVE’s other abilities include absorbing sounds and reflecting them back towards an opponent as a sonic blast attack. He has few weaknesses, but an aggressive sonic assault – as by multiple, coordinated sonic booms – can overload his processing systems and make him susceptible to attack. Soundwave Voters... Rejoice!!! Also, The Official Logo for TRANSFORMERS HALL OF FAME is available by hitting the Thumbnail to the left. |

The auction states that this figure is a Botcon 2010 exclusive and it's even in a Botcon 2010 plastic bag. However this is inaccurate as this is a mass market figure and will be available in fall. Click on the title bar to see more! |

Amazon Japan has updated their order pages for the May release Transformers Animated toys from Takara-Tomy with official photos. May will see the release of Grimlock, Snarl, Swoop and Blackout in Japan, and these new images give us a better look at the changes being made to each toy for its Japanese release. We have already had a very extensive comparison of Blackout with his (as yet unreleased) US version, but for those wondering how Takara-Tomy would handle the Dinobots, the principle differences to all three seem to be as follows:
For Grimlock, more vibrant red in the Beast mode, shiny gold finish on all his gold sections including the robot chest, and shiny silver finish on most of his dinosaur panels. For Snarl, his clear orange parts are now a deeper shade of red, with a shiny finish on his gold sections and also on the silver crest around his dinosaur head and on his shoulders. Swoop likewise has a shiny finish on his few gold parts, and also on his robot mode face, but he is the least changed of the three. Check out our mirror of all the images by clicking on the title of this story, or alternatively click on the links above to visit Amazon.jp and check out the original images, which you can zoom in on for a better look at all those lovely details. |

Hasbro has announced the second nominee for the final spot on this year's TRANSFORMERS HALL OF FAME inductions. Joining Soundwave as a nominee will be...Grimlock!
With the final five candidates determined by a group of fansites, TRANSFORMERS fans around the world will be asked who should be inducted as the final candidate into TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame. Voting will start on Monday, May 10th with 5 candidates nominated by Fans to choose from. The winner will join Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Starscream. Fan’s choice nominee #2 is: GRIMLOCK “Me GRIMLOCK king!” GRIMLOCK fought his way through the gladiatorial pits underneath Kaon to become one of the greatest warriors on CYBERTRON. Having joined the AUTOBOTS early on during the Great War, GRIMLOCK made it clear he never trusted OPTIMUS PRIME to properly lead the AUTOBOTS. Due to his shock and awe approach to combat, GRIMLOCK is not regarded as a great military leader. However, he has fought and survived through enough battles to earn top ranking position among the AUTOBOTS. Having struck out on his own, GRIMLOCK eventually found himself leader of the DINOBOTS, a special operations strike force unit that can power through most barricades and DECEPTICON strongholds. During a battle with the DECEPTICON SCORPONOK, GRIMLOCK’s vocal processors were damaged, leading to his awkward and distinct way of speaking. If GRIMLOCK has a weakness, it is his larger than Prime ego and his lack of patience. |

Check out the Transformers G1 Argentina Radio Robot AM by seller argentostore. Unlike many of the working radio items released in North America, this was a fully functional Transformer.
As always, there is a ton more Transformers G1 Listings available. We have mirrored a few images which can be seen by clicking the headline of the story. |

TFW2005 is proud to provide another early Transformers comic review! Today, we review Nefarious #3! Nefarious #3 is out tomorrow - Wednesday, May 5th - from IDW Publishing Nefarious #3 Credits Publisher: IDW Publishing Written by: Simon Furman Art by: Carlos Magno Colors by: Kris Carter Letters by: Chris Mowry Editor: Andy Schmidt Assistant Editor: Carlos Guzman Covers Cover A – Art & Colors by Brian Rood Cover B – Art by Carlos Magno & Colors by Kris Carter Retailer Incentive – Art & Colors by Brian Rood Review Bumblebee opens Nefarious #3 stating, in narrative, that he’s the strong silent type. Unfortunately, Bumblebee’s statement sets a tone for an issue in where there is plenty of content but any progress in the story line. Although plenty is said, nothing of evident importance is uttered. Nefarious #3 takes place immediately following the events of the second issue. Following the battle in Utah, Bumblebee’s team prepares to transport Soundwave to a hidden location in Texas. National Security Advisor Galloway continues to shut down N.E.S.T. and suspect anything and everything. The Initiative, meanwhile, continues their top secretive project involving the rebuilding of an AllSpark cube. As mentioned in the intro, nothing really happens in this issue. Although there is plenty of action, the results at the end of the issue place the story right back where the issue began. There is no progression on the Soundwave/Autobots story and little to no progression on Galloway’s story or that of the Initiative. The focus of the writer, Simon Furman, on this issue seems to be development of the characterization. Bumblebee’s character is further explored as he provides narration throughout the issue. Jolt finally speaks and has a role, albeit a small one. The relationship of N.E.S.T. is explored between the two leads: Optimus Prime and Major Lennox. There is little in the way of revelations in this issue. What the Initiative is attempting to do with the AllSpark is still unclear. Galloway’s goal isn’t clear as well. When something is revealed such as the identity of who resurrected Ravage, the reveal has no build up and is hardly surprising. Art duties are again handled by Carlos Magno. His work in this issue is equivalent of that seen in Issue #1 and a step up from the second issue. Carlos’ best panels seem to be those featuring close-ups of the Transformers, especially in action sequences. The long action sequence in the issue allows for plenty of such panels. Like with the previous issues, Kris Carter’s colors accentuate Carlos’ art quite well. Nefarious #3 is a small step back from the previous two issues. Whereas the first two issues had a nice combination of dialogue, battle, and mystery, the third issue was absent of mystery. Rather than provide any big revelation or deepen any mystery, Nefarious #3 seemed to just serve as filler in a six-part mini-series. Because the first two issues featured quite a bit of mystery, the opportunities for improvement in this issue will be quickly forgotten if Issue #4 regains the momentum and mystery from the start of the mini-series. |
