I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, and please move/merge/delete this as appropriate if so (so what category do *you* think Terminator fits in?); but Corner Store Comics has pics of pre-order Terminator Salvation items up.
Of particular interest to me and all the cool kids are the 18th items: |

The 3-3/4" look decent, but I still wish for more articulation. Looks like the Star Wars level of articulation is utilizes sans ball ankles, which to me, are important for figures with that level of articulation. I am extremely glad that Playmates did not use the v-crotch hips that they have used many times before. Ball ankles and universal hip joints would be ideal for these figures.

Sweet! I got credit for a find! Six Internets for me (altho I just saw a guy on Fwoosh post it and dug up the link he only talked about but didn't give - that's poor netiquette, imho)!
As usual, I'm just interested in the 18th figs, and maybe the big H/K bot seen with the 6" figs. I'm not a stickler for scale when it comes to robots and monsters, they're scalable. So, all that taken in hand, the 18th figs look intriguing, if not 'blow-me-down'. The swivel hips are a serious liability, but the Endos' legs are posed such that they might have proper ball hips. The guy on the far right is Bale-as-Conner, right? Who's the kid on the left that looks somewhat like Chief Tyrol? |

3 3/4 t-800's could be cool but I need to see better pictures to make a better judgement.

Asunderverse, Fromundaverse. The only thing I'm digging 100% is the John Connor/Christian Bale likeness. The rest is good, but I'll withhold complete judgement. Except for AV....I'll judge him all I like. I judge him ghey. Yep.

Where are you seeing pics of how good the likeness is? I'm seeing li'l peach-colored smears in all the pics I find.
Fromundaverse...hmmm. Maybe I should change up my 'verse to be centered around the exploits of Cheese. He and Milk would be the rulers of everyone in no time flat! |

Speaking of M&C, didja know there were vinyl figs of them?
Man, I would totally get them if I had the cash to spare. Evan Dorkin's the funniest man alive. Even moreso than you and your face. /Oooo...burn. |

The A-10 is very out of scale with the figure, but luckily, the canopy isn't overly huge and a dead give away for it. From the outside, it looks good, more realistic than the Rattler.

If you become a huge Salvation fan (it could happen), you might as well modify one of this A-10 (scroll down) from the Power Team Elite line. Seems they're sturdy cheap toys and their A-10 if not exactly 1:18 scale, is massive.
I love what I've seen from the Salvation trailers so far, the trailer before Dark Knight blew me away. This Terminator A-10 looks decent, I'll have to see it in person before deciding to buy it. If not, I'm still content with my power team A-10. LOVE the armnaments it came with! It even came with an air traffic controller, how cool is that? |

I'm sure when people see the G.I. Joe movie afterwards in August some may think they stole the design of the hunter-killer jet for the Cobra gunship.

I gotta say the vehicles look to have a lot of potential, but I'm not crazy about the figures.

In-Box Images
The A-10 is definitely small, but I'm glad the proportions of the vehicle itself were not compromised. Look forward to seeing it in person before making a final decision whether to purchase or not. |
