Just got him yesterday and OMFG what an awesome figure!
Excellent update of the G1 character and brilliant execution of the Targetmaster gimmick. Highly recommended. Hopefully, he is only the beginning and we see more new-mold TM's in the future, as well as Headmasters.

I haven't heard of any specifically. So far, I've had no trouble finding them all eventually.

Let's see...
Colors: the red is more of an orange-ish shade and the blue is brighter. The gray on the trailer is lighter as well. These are possibly an attempt to better match cartoon colors. Mold: short stacks and longer missiles (safety laws), reinstalled launching gimmick for Roller (removed for TRU reissue), blue Roller (TRU's was gray). There are other smaller differences, but mostly in the construction and not really noticable unless you're specifically looking for them.

Got some time to fiddle with him, he is really nice. Much improved feel to the toy versus the shoddy plastic used in the first few waves.
Cyclonus feels very sturdy, and everything locks into place nicely! Very happy I picked him up

What a drastic improvement over the original Cyclonus figure.

I would definitely have to go with Onslaught as being my favorite. Followed closely by Silverbolt/Dreadwind and then Powerglide as my least favorite.

The Henkei are $30 to get to you in the US, the Hasbro version can be had for $10 or so, give or take, if you are lucky, you have them for 7.77 at Wal Mart
The Henkei are more detailed paint-app wise, more G1 inspired repaints, but sometimes strange use of chrome...

I will post my feelings:
I will never tf mine again. Not gonna whine, but he is not my favorite by far, Too bad he is not as solid as Cyclonus is. Ah, well. I popped off the wings to Energon Galvatron, and use him with my Classics. If deluxe Galvy wants to sit on the shelf, he will have to kick Energon Galvy's ass first.

I like mine better after the repaint:
I'm still in "blerg" mode over the size and ease of parts popping off though. |

People hate on Silverbolt because of the transformation being easy. Maybe I'm nuts but I don't care about transformations. The A to B of it is meaningless to me - so long as the A and B are good individually. Plus, the simple transformation scheme is so G1 it hurts. As loony tunes as people can get over this or that NOT BEING THE SAME AS THE OLD ONE it seems that would totally be adored |

His joints definitely could have had better tolerances, but I still LOVE this guy's robot mode. He just looks awesome.

I agree, but that is his only awesome is static posed on shelf.. to me at least. It is just frustrating to TF, I dunno why but it rubbed me the wrong way...

Silverbolt is my favorite. The underside kibble bothered me until I realized that it is actually reminiscent of the XB-70 Valkyrie, which the alt mode design is inspired by. The ratchets all around, full articulation, stability in both modes and awesome upgrade going from supersonic civilian airliner to military supersonic bomber/interceptor full of kill just works for me. That is one hell of an upgrade!
Onslaught would be next. Robot mode looks powerful and imposing, I like the headsculpt and homage to the G1 design, just wish he had an awesome high powered, huge assault rifle. I also wish mine had the corrected soundbox for the sirens. Articulation is great all around, and it reminds me of a wild Decepticon gladiator that Megatron stores away to keep an element of surprise, then unleashes him upon the Autobots when battles go bad. Kind of like Brawl in the movie. Powerglide is disappointing. The side intakes near the nose destroy the look of the A-10 alt mode. Imagine it without those and it looks almost spot on to an A-10. The visual balance is thrown off with those things on. In robot mode, you have to loosen the wing hinges as they will break the soft plastic catches if you don't, yet once you loosen them, they are not secured to the body well. Initially I grew to like the robot mode appearance, but as time went by, the high mounted head along with the skinny limbs and barrel chest throw off the look. This is the weakest of the new Universe Ultra molds, and one I wouldn't really reccomend. |

I'm happy with both Energon Galvy and my g1 reissue so I passed on Universe Galvy. But now that I hear the complaints I'm glad I did.

He's probably my least favourite of the entire Universe series. A large part comes from how unstable he feels, and on mine at any rate, the head likes to drop into the body. It's just loose.
