The recent on-set images from Transformers 3, gives us a good look at a new gadget. No, it’s not a PowerGlove… but Sam Witwicky do seems to be wearing some sort of a device. We still don’t know what it is or what it can do. At the moment, many fans seems to be speculating that it might be some sort of an Anti-Decepticon Weapon or the next Bayformers MacGuffin. Who knows? Only the time can tell (No pun intended).

A friend of 2005 Boards member Feralstorm (owner of one of the most awesome Transformers Animated signature artworks out there) has shared some images of this little piece of awesome that is Jet Pack Bumblebee, aka Hydrodive Bumblebee. As you may or may not be aware, Hydrodive Bumblebee was designed with the intention of producing a version of Bumblebee who would be better in scale with the rest of the Animated Autobot cast, his Deluxe toy being a bit too large, and his Activator being a little too small. He will be sold as a Voyager Class toy because he includes a big jet pack / minisub that he can attach to in either mode.
But enough about the accessory, on to the toy! These images show this variation of Bumblebee without the accessory pack, focusing on the little guy in all his glory. As well as the nice finish, you can get a sense of the refinements in the design and transformation, to give you a Bumblebee toy that is accurate in both modes, without the backpack that the Deluxe toy had. Check out the images and share your thoughts by clicking on the title of this story. |

We have received some further information regarding the Elite Guard Animated Optimus Prime, who will be a Million Publishing Mail Away exclusive with the purchase of the Transformers Animated Encyclopedia. Despite what the cover shows, the toy will be a redeco of Animated Voyager Optimus Prime, not Wingblade Optimus Prime as the silhouette suggests (products may vary, kids!). Million Publishing's page for the book has updated, with not only images of the toy itself which looks slick in red and black with gold highlights, but the page also gives information about how this is a "what-if" Optimus Prime - this is what Animated Optimus Prime could have been, if he'd stayed on as a member of the Elite Guard.

Past few weeks turned-out to be quite exciting for Transformers Live Action Movie lovers. Cool Vehicles, Destruction, Heads-On-Sticks (Not real ones, mind you) and much much more. It was all thanks to the Transformers 3 filming in Chicago. Many TFW2005 Members contributed to various articles with Threads, Information and most importantly, with Images.
But, now it's time to move on as OnLocationVacations state that Transformers 3 wraps up Chicago filming this weekend. "Transformers 3 is set to complete their stint in Chicago this weekend before moving on to Detroit, where filming will likely take place at the Packard Plant on East Grand Boulevard. Here is all of the official street closure information from the city of Chicago for Friday and Saturday: “Transformers 3″ will be filming Friday Aug 20th/Saturday Aug 21st, several downtown locations, including 433 W Van Buren. Transformers 3″: 8am-9am, Saturday Aug 21st, Helicopters will be used at low altitude for aerial photography over Chicago River. LaSalle street bridge. Street closures: 6am-3pm @ Van Buren between Wacker/Canal, 12pm-10pm LaSalle St bridge between Wacker/Kinzie. This will include brief (15 minutes) intermittent closures of bridges @ Michigan, State & Dearborn." A special "Thanks" should go out to all the TFW2005 members who contributed. Filming continues and our members will continue to provide us with all the latest stuff for all of us to enjoy... We can be sure of that. |

This is a Featured Ebay Auction for all those who love vintage Generation 1 non-toy items. It's for a Transformers Generation 1 Optimus Prime Cookie Jar With Box. The auction comes from seller freddiofredd. The box is a little beat, but the cookie jar itself looks to be in great condition. This is really one of the great G1 gems from the 80's.

Instruction Sheets coming with Transformers toys sometimes provide a wealth of information other than just the instructions. It so happens that we found out about Lockdown/Axor, Bumblebee/Cliffjumper and Darkmount/Skullgrin headsculpts, from those instructions. Now it’s Terradive’s turn.
Terradive’s Instruction Sheet provides us with a look at a different head for the toy. Just like other toys before him, there is a possible chance that we’ll get a retooled toy soon enough. |

For those eagerly awaiting the release of Fansprojects newest upgrades (like myself), they have started showing up in the US (and Canada) and our own daelite20 has already picked up two sets so that we may live vicariously through him until BBTS and TFSource get their shipments.
I won't spoil the transformation by posting all the pics of the instructions here (which *spoilers* are included in this review) however, on the last page is an interesting little feature showing the line of Fansprojects Crossfire products. Included is of course 01 (Superion) and 02 (Bruticus) but also there is a space for 03 (?). What could this be? The new combiner they are working on? Or perhaps Devastator will be getting the Fansproject treatment as well. Check out daelite20s full gallery of pictures by clicking on the title and I hope it helps sooth the way by even just a little. |

It seems that Hasbro's Transformers Toy Instruction Sheets are giving away upcoming releases these days. Within the last 24 hours they revealed two possible retools of HFTD Terradive and HFTD Tomahawk.
Now, by accident I stumbled upon another new release. It's a repaint of Movie Activators Bumblebee called; Activators Rally Rumble Bumblebee. You can checkout the Instruction Sheet by visiting Hasbro's Official Transformers Instruction Sheet : Rally Rumble Bumblebee. With this, it begs us the question; How many are there? The hunt is on... See if you guys can find more upcoming Transformers products by visiting Hasbro.com > Customer Service > Instructions. Good Luck! |

A little bit of Detective Work won’t harm anyone. Well yes, the curiosity killed the cat (No, not the Keyboard playing one), but it so happened that we are now unraveling the mystery of “Airachnid”.
For those who are unfamiliar with this, I believe a brief introduction is in order…. Few months back we foundout about a new Hasbro Trademark called “Airachnid”. Then S250 of our boards brought us a news of a toy arachnid. Now, while retrieving the Trademark Document from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a symbol (See the Image) was also attached to the document. For those who are familiar with the “Beast Era” will immediately recognize the symbol as the Predacon Insignia. However there are some differences here and there. Still, no clue whatsoever regarding the whole matter. See what you all can make out of this. We value your opinion… have a go by hitting the Discuss Button. |

Here's another cool set of items coming down the pipeline - remember the Kabaya Candy Transformers released last year, in an assortment of Generation 1 Convoy, Star Saber and Henkei Convoy? They were popular enough that Kabaya are making a second wave, as confirmed by this listing on a Rakutan Shop. The second assortment of Kabaya Candy Transformers will consist of Ultra Magnus (who appears to be based on his 6 inch Titanium design) Prowl and Jetfire, both of whom are based on their Henkei / Classics / Universe versions. Check out the images by clicking on the link above, or the title of this story for our mirror.

More Transformers 3 Set Images thanks to 2005 Board Member ChicageauxTiger.
This time, it’s a Red Chevrolet Pickup Truck (Model identified as a Chevrolet Silverado by our board member Skyclaw) with tinted windows, cruising alone in midday with headlights on. It is said that no Autobot/Decepticon insignias were identified, therefore can be assumed as a regular truck. Still, Who knows... Secondly, ChicageauxTiger has spotted a strange object among the usual rubble. Whatever it is, it has a strong Cybertronian vibe to it. And finally, The Department Of Health And Human Services (No, not the real one). Chicago’s old Post Office has been transformed into a high security area. It is rumored that it’s a N.E.S.T base in disguise. Click on the Image to take a look at more stuff. |

Transformers 3 Crew is not saying “Good Bye” to Chicago just yet.
Transportation officials in Chicago say 13 bus routes will be detoured this week while crews continue filming for Transformers 3. The Chicago Transit Authority says the bus reroutes start today at 7 p.m. and go until 6 a.m. on Friday (More information here). Crews have been filming in the city all summer. So far, that's included helicopters flying in the area for aerial shots, stunt parachutists, crashed cars and sets that make parts of the city's popular shopping district on Michigan Avenue look like it's in ruins. But, our members report that the usual TF3 hustle & bustle is gone and that they are cleaning-up the streets. It is quite possible that the crew is filming some minor scenes while the main crew is heading elsewhere. Past few weeks were fun with all the information pouring from the streets of Windy City. To make a recap out of things that happened, here is the Official Behind-The-Scenes Video shot by Nelson Lauren for Michael Bay.Com. |

Airachnid; a name which came to limelight recently. Sadly though we have to say goodbye to that name for US Patent Office has denied the Trademark "Airachnid".
"Registration of the applied-for mark is refused because of a likelihood of confusion with the mark in U.S. Registration No. 2917921. Trademark Act Section 2(d), 15 U.S.C. §1052(d). Applicant’s mark, AIRACHNID, is highly similar to registrant’s mark, ARACHNOID. The marks are both intended to be plays on the word “arachnid,” and as such, are highly similar in impression. Additionally, the first portion of the marks, “AIRACHN” and “ARACHN” are nearly identical in sound and appearance, and the final portion “NID” and “NOID” is also highly similar. Note that slight differences in the sound of similar marks will not avoid a likelihood of confusion. You can view the Original Document here. |

Concept Artist Ken Christiansen has over ten years of experience doing pre-production artwork for video games and assisting with story development and game design. He also was involved with some Transformers Projects such as Activision's Transformers 2007: The Game and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - The Game (He designed Dropkick and many other characters).
Today, Mr. Christiansen revealed another fact. Yep, he's also a Concept Artist for Transformers: Prime. In his own words... "Yes I did work on Transformers : Prime. No, these images (Click on the Title Bar to see) are NOT from that work. You have to wait until October to see those... But, now that some of those images are starting to come out, I wanted to try to do some studies to match the official style. Just really rough at this point, trying to find some of the basics. Obviously, TFP Bumblebee is based on the movie Camaro, so I wanted to try a pass with him as the Beetle, and how that old vehicle form could break up in new ways. Then I took a crack at Jazz (I don't know if there's any TF/Prime images of him out, and I honestly don't know if he's in the lineup for the show - I didn't work on him, in any case) and based him on more of the TF:Animated styling. And then for fun, I just picked a random Autobot, and did Inferno. He was the last one I did, and I think I started to capture some of the TFP looks... Tomorrow, some Decepts..." Tomorrow it is... Stay tuned with TFW2005 as we bring you news First & Fast... |
