Not sure if anyone cares, but the markings on War Machine actually have real-life meaning.
ED FLTS 445 means the unit is assigned to the 445th Flight Test Squadron operating out of Edwards Air Force Base. The 445th is part of the 412 Test Wing, which has a long and storied history; they are the personnel who tested (and continue to test) the F-22 and F-35. The 001 is the last three digits of the unit's serial number, so War Machine is the first operational unit off the production line. Now, the confusing bit, for me. AF 57 means the unit is assigned to the Air Force, and was ordered way back in 1957. Maybe that year has some significance in Marvel or Iron Man lore? I'm also interested to see if they explain why, even though War Machine is an Air Force machine, all the drones seen in the trailers are Navy (apparently assigned to the VX-23 Salty Dogs). Oh, and I got mine today at the northside Indianapolis Wal-Mart, where they had one or two cases' worth out on the pegs. Edit: apologies if this was already posted; I skimmed a couple of pages in there... Thanks for the story behind the decals, it's good to see that there is some reality to the IM story being placed in the movie and not just the comics!!! Quote:
D: ) It just dawned on me. If there is a variant 3 3/75 WM could there be a variant 6 WM?!? |

look at the back of the card and its the same blue eye/arc reactor glow and washed metal look like the 3.75 variant has. its a distinct possibility.

Maybe I spoke too soon... first Walmart checked today had nothing. STILL. There's one right next to where I'm going to dinner tonight, I'll check that one out when I go. If that one doesn't have them, I think I'm going to go insane.

Yeah, I've tried it, the employees at both just seem like they don't really know what they're doing. Whatever. I'm not really that concerned, I was just being melodramatic.
The night wasn't a total loss though, I picked up a Boba Fett Mighty Mugg for $10 so... that was cool.

Sorry for going off Topic, But I hate Ironman's new Bleeding Edge armor in the comics. Having the undersheath in his body is one thing, but the whole damn suit. And now he can move things with his mind. They keep trying to make Tony Stark into a cyborg with super powers. He's suppose to be just a regular really smart guy in a High Tech Suit. I'm not buying another Ironman comic until Tony Stark and the Suit are no longer one in the same. I'll stick with the Movie and the Ultimate Version.
Sorry for the rant, I just had to get it out. |

On a side note, our total of two TRU's got Arcee and Ratchet in yesterday, yesterday, well 4 Ratchets @ each store. That were there @ opening!!! I hate TRU stocker/scalpers. I'm talking about Invincible Iron Man #25. It just came out. I like the way the new armor looks, I just wish it didn't come out of his body like Venom's suit. Oh yeah, he's flat broke, and he wants everybody to have Ironman Technology now.

What comic was that in? If it's in IM #25, I need to go back and look it up. |

If you really can't find them, I'll more than likely have an extra War Machine someone didn't pay for. It'd be around 8-10 dollars more than @Wal-Mart but you can blame that on Paypal and the post office.

I bet you did. It's only ours never left the stores, the employees got them and that's way dirtier than scalping store to store then bragging about it. The three pack's been out here forever, horrible IMO>

On a related note, The Tru 3 packs are cool. These sold out quick here. Apparently, these are the only re paints of some previous molds. |

The TRU 3 packs are indeed awesome!
I'm hoping to see more of the Concept armors repainted though, I only have 5 6 inchers right now which are the TRU 3 pack and now the WM exclusives. |

No name calling or harassing, regardless of what is said, per Toyark rules.
And we would appreciate it if all you guys can keep this thread on topic, if someone is bothering you, don't put yourself in a situation for an infraction because someone else is posting flamebait. The ignore list is there for a reason, if you don't want to see/deal with someones posts, add them to your ignore list, you won't see them. Please keep this on topic or it will be closed. |

Also, if you are frustrated and having a hard time finding these, trust me, I know, I am having trouble too.
Let's try not to let that get the best of us. What I don't want to see anymore is people holding it over others heads that they have them, etc. you're just asking for trouble at that point. |
