Here’s something very cool. Sometimes some movies are re-released as extended editions, sometimes this happens to trailers too. Even “Making-of” videos get re-released as Extended Editions. And this is one such situation.
Nelson; who posted the Transformers 3 Official Chicago Filming Video at the MichaelBay.com / Shoot For The Edit has posted an Extended Edition of the same video. The new version includes 30 seconds of more “Bayhem” (Original Video - 2:56, Extended Edition - 3:26). New Footage including: #1 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Carly) having a friendly chat with Tyrese Gibson (Robert Epps). #2 Michael Bay greeting the Crowd and a News Reporter with Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel (William Lennox). #5 Ferrari 458 Italia. #4 Officially revealing the Mercedes-Benz E350 Autobot. #5 New Convertible Sideswipe. #6 A scene from the movie being filmed and TF3 Teaser Poster is seen nearby too. #7 Michael Bay discussing a scene he's about to shoot. Check out the video (you can watch it on HD too) for yourself and enjoy... Thank you Tyrese Gibson for pointing this-out via his Twitter Account. Images courtesy Waveride of 2005 Boards and Nelson Lauren of Shoot For The Edit. You can also take a look at the Official Transformers 3 Chicago Filming Photo Album by visiting Nelson's Flickr Account. |

TFW member yuujin-mikeru dropped by our 2005 Boards to let us know that the next assortments of Movie series Scouts and Legends - the second waves of "Hunt for the Decepticons" for each size class - along with the basic sized Speed Stars Stealth Force; have been spotted at multiple stores throughout Metro Manila, Philippines. Scout Wave 2 features Breacher, Insecticon and Oil Pan, while Legends Wave 2 features Long Haul, Override, Sandstorm and Tracker Hound. With these now seeing widespread retail release in the Philippines, can a US sighting be far behind?

San Diego Comic-Con 2010 has gone as quickly as it arrived. With it, some really nice Transformers exclusives have gone with it. Blaster keeps selling out before you place your order. Same thing with Mighty Muggs Prowl. For our Featured Ebay Auction, we bring you every listing for the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Transformers Exclusives.
Some people are listing the items as low as buying them direct from Hasbro. So if you can't wait for Hasbro to restock, or your favorite store to get them in stock, these auctions should help you out. |

The Transformers Collector's Club have uploaded a two page preview of the next part of the Club Magazine comic, The Coming Storm, onto their Deviant Art gallery. This story, set 9 Million Years ago back when the Autobot / Decepticon war was still in its infancy, traces the adventures of the Generation 1 styled Elite Guard! In this story, Elite Guard Special Ops team The Combaticons are in a tight spot. Will history take its natural course, or will they escape and postpone the inevitable for another day? Check out the full previews of pages 19 and 20 here, and check out Fun Publication's Deviant Art Gallery for more Transformers (and GI Joe) Collector's Club comic goodness!
A new featured comic strip, by David Willis of Shortpacked fame, is also in the works for the back page of the Collector's Club magazine. No details other than a teaser image, which you can check out by clicking on the title of this story, are available, but the teaser gives you a pretty good guess. |

Michael Bay’s Official Website has been updated with more info, videos and images from the Chicago set of Transformers 3. We have seen some of the stuff right here at TFW2005 few days ago, but given that this is an official update it must go up. Special Thanks to all the Original Posters of 2005 Boards.
Before we begin, SPOILER WARNING : The following articles may contain various plot details. The article “Chicago's Transformers Business Experience” mainly talks about how Chicago was benefited from the filming of TF3 there. The next article “Shooting For The Edit on Wacker Drive” is a video showing-off some super awesome “Bayhem”. You can enjoy it below : Number #3 : “The Chicago Tribune Talks to Michael Bay” is an interview with Director Michael Bay. “On the Transformers 3 Set with Michael Bay” is the official making of video we’ve seen before. But this is not the Extended Edition. Again, we have another Michael Bay interview at “ABC7 Chicago Interviews Michael Bay”. Next we have an image of Director Michael Bay using the Apple iPad. Nelson says that the Transformers 3 Animatics are loaded to the device. Visit “Michael Bay Using the iPad 3G” to see it. Finally it’s Mr. Bay himself telling his thoughts about the city of Chicago via the article “Michael Bay's Thoughts on Chicago”. Transformers 3 is set to release on 1st of July, 2010 worldwide. |

Where would Optimus Prime be without his archenemy, Megatron? Fortunately that's not a question we will need to answer just yet, because courtesy of the 2005 Heads on a Stick desk, we have an image of a prop used during the Transformers 3 filming in Chicago featuring the evil Decepticon leader's noggin! Like all the props we have been seeing, this is to assist the actors in acting and reacting to the robots who will be CGI'ed in later during post-production.
Maybe it is not much of a surprise that Megatron is returning for Transformers 3, since he was seen fleeing with Starscream at the end of Revenge of the Fallen. But this sighting confirms that Megatron will also be present in some form during the battle in Chicago alongside the other characters already seen on set in prop form or the form of stunt cars. |

2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us some scans from the 150th edition of Figure King (also known as Figure-Oh or Figure-Ou). This edition focuses on the August releases of the Transformers Animated toys - showing different images to the previously shown official images. Here, all of Rodimus' plastic is shown in the same color, and Sunstorm's chrome is noticeably brighter.
There is also a retrospective on the many Transformers series, a brief coverage of Botcon 2010, and a full run down of all the Transformers Celebration 2010 items including the two newly revealed entries into the series, reissue Predaking and Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy. Check out all the scans by clicking on the title of this story. |

We can't call this a big spoiler after revealing Shockwave... So, here's Autobot Rollbar; the newest Autobot to join the 3rd Transformers Movie.
Throughout the past few days there had been numerous reports of a mysterious new Red Giant Jeep at the Transformers 3 set. TFW2005 Member EShadowP managed to confirm who exactly this new bigboy is. But, this isn't the first time Rollbar appeared in the movie franchise. Head-on over to our Resources Section to see how he was portrayed before the third movie : Rollbar (Combat Series). Those who know G1, will immediately recognize him as Throttlebot Rollbar from that continuity (Notice the "T B" on the back of the vehicle?). If you guessed it correctly, then you can celebrate by hitting the Discuss Button. Checkout more images by clicking on the Title Bar. "When the going gets tough, the tough get driving." |

We have received another exciting update from Auto Assembly 2010! This time around they announce that, thanks to the generosity of Hasbro UK, they have 30 of the upcoming Challenge at Cybertron three pack to give away to lucky attendees! This set, which consists of updated cartoon colours for Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Galvatron will not be available any other way in the UK, and according to the information received by Auto Assembly is extremely likely to be a Target exclusive in the US.
To be in with a chance to win one of these sets, you need to be a pre-registered attendee. 30 lucky pre-registrants will have tickets inserted into their convention packs, so if you're not already pre-registered and want to be in it to win it, head over to the Auto Assembly Homepage to get yourself pre-registered! |

Get those salt-shakers ready folks, because we have a very interesting - and unusual - item for you today.
As you can see to the left of this image, that is a fully gold chromed version of the legendary Fortress Maximus - the largest Transformers toy ever released. He originally hit stores in 1987 as the centerpiece of the Headmasters line, and has since gone on to command high prices on the secondary market. The mold has been reused a couple of times down the years, including Brave Maximus in Car Robots - also known as Fortress Maximus in the series Robots in Disguise. Which brings us to this strange piece. It is on display at Cybertron Con in China alongside many other items including the prototype for Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. While it is tempting to write this off as a bootlegger getting a bit over-enthusiastic with gold chrome, it is on display with the other official Transformers merchandise - which you can check out here on ACToys. So there might be some kind of official endorsement to this golden monolith. Legitimate Lucky Draw or a custom piece? For now, we'll have to register an "uncertain" verdict, however as more information comes out, we will update you right here on the TFW frontpage. The real question though, is if this is a legitimate piece and Takara-Tomy are going to offer a Lucky Draw Fortress Maximus - will they also make use of the mold and finally go ahead and do a reissue of the big guy? |
