I think the bike is cool, well done, and the figure looks crazy. However, as with most modern era stuff, after some shots and some fiddling, it goes in a tub. That bike would take up 5/6/7 figures on a shelf easy.
I'm still getting it tho. |

I'm buying all of this.
Hasbro Pulse on Instagram just posted a preview of the 6" Val, too.

I wasn't crazy about the character- but that bike is just too cool to pass up.

I am amazed at the total lack of Solo merchandise in stores (Solo cups excepted).

A L337 droid and an Appleseed/Motoslave/patlabor-esque head character.
This is a geeks wet dream or nightmare, or both. |

As good as some of these figures from Solo look, after the let downs so far that was "TFA" and "The Last Jedi", I'll be holding off on any Black Series offerings that come from films I haven't seen yet. I've been stuck with too many characters that I honestly could have done without because I bought into the hype of the franchise and picked them up before seeing the movie in question. No more...

I found the Enfys Nest and the Cloud Riders the most interesting new characters, partly because we don't get to learn much about them. |

After seeing the movie today, Hasbro can keep all of their Solo figures.

Looking forward to the droid and Val. Everything Enfys Nest was my least favorite parts in Solo so I'll pass on her until it drops down to around $20.

Im telling ya ep 9 needs to give us dash rendar and leebo and the outrider, especially since Hans dead this would be the perfect time to re-introduce dash. Scott eastwood could play him and david tennant could voice leebo!

Funny enough David Tennant has already been a droid in Star Wars, he was that Jedi instructor droid in the Clone Wars. Aside from that I'd go with no, Dash was always just K-mart brand Han Solo.

Haha. I know a lotta folk didnt like him but he could be a good fit in a solo less universe. I actually liked him better than han. Not dis han but i just liked dash more. His ship and outfit were cooler to me.

And Enfys was definitely interesting too. I hope they do more on that story when they get to covering more on Crimson Dawn. The Solo movie was such a treat overall. Really makes me miss the good 1:18th scale figures they did of Star Wars. But really looking forward to more of the expanded lore. Quote:
And Liam Hemsworth would be a better choice anyway. Scott Eastwood is better with stiff characters, he doesn't have that 'renegade' kind of charm. He evokes too much "by the book" in his presence to the point even when he tries renegade type characters, they don't feel all that genuine. His "by the book"/rigidly following authority style characters though tend to be perfectly conveyed. Still a "No" though. We don't need a Han Solo replacement. Rey, Finn, and Poe already fill those dynamics and qualities in different ways. Episode 9 has other stuff it needs to cover that bringing in a Solo Knock-off would be too boring to do and take away from the other threads needed to expand on and bring closure to. At most maybe a cameo to mock his "poser" nature in trying to be like the legendary Solo. And even that's iffy. Last edited by Snowflakian; 05-28-2018 at 09:00 PM.. |

About bloody time! And yes the lack of merchandise is weird. But I guess the terrible 5-point articulation lines of Rogue One still shelfwarming, and SW8 toys being discounted aa month after release by 50% (here in Hungary) is good indication that the SW toylines are failing. Glad at least L3-37 got a toy because I want that. I'd also want toys of all the aliens from Lando's card game too... And it's weird that the enforcer guy who is only in like, 1 chase scene at the beginning of the movie, gets a toy but Rio Durant didn't.
