To Todd McFarlane:
The pre posed non articulating waist is unacceptable to most action figure collectors anyway, but ESPECIALLY after 3.4 million in sales we feel there should be no reason for it! But JUST AS BAD is the ONE thigh swivel. If anything, just don't have any thigh swivels. At all, if you "can't break up the sculpt" I'm positive any modern action figure enthusiasts would agree completely. Unicron was WAY more expensive. No those are 2017/2018 this was 2000. Completely different sculpts. Yeeeaa boooeey COMPLETE! Totes

Hard to believe people are still complaining. But then again, it's the internet and I should have long ago stopped being surprised by the inanity on it.
Regardless of the whining (which is what some of you are actually doing) the kickstarter did fantastically well and for all the vocal minority complaints, these still sold like gangbusters and anyone that did actually back it and regrets it, sell to someone that missed out and doesn't have some obsessive compulsive disorder about articulation on a plastic figure and would be glad to just own it. |

I disagree. When this first went up there was no indication that the torso had articulation. Heck most thought it was a typical five POA McFarlane figure like the original. When he first showed the chest articulation he said he wasn't sure he was going to keep it or not. This was during the campaign and those who absolutely didnt want a solid torso could have bailed.
Similarily people had issues with the pre-posed posture and Todd just stood firm and said it's staying that way. People had a choice to leave then and there and i'm sure had it been neutral he would have had more backers but in the end he did it the way he wanted to and as far as i see it those who stuck around should have been well aware this would be the way it would stay. Also, in terms of torso articulation, if he goes the route of the Honor of Kings figures design, the torso will have plenty of articulation without an ab crunch. That's what I'm thinking they'll end up doing, but I could be wrong. |

Lots of cool things. I still wish the torso was soft, but I’m still very excited for this. I wonder if November is still the target?

Agreed. Everything was right there for people to read before investing any of their money into the campaign. It was only a "surprise" to the people that never paid any attention to the updates or didn't read the campaign info that was posted before the campaign ended. For those that did spend their money without understanding what they were purchasing... Well, the saying "A fool and his money..." springs to mind.
Also, in terms of torso articulation, if he goes the route of the Honor of Kings figures design, the torso will have plenty of articulation without an ab crunch. That's what I'm thinking they'll end up doing, but I could be wrong.

As dope as this figure looks, I still can't get passed that torso being sculpted into a pose. Oh well.

Getting closer...These are looking great. I'm still wanting a second artist proof is anyone wants to sell.
Haha I enjoyed the excitement, but he did go on at length about the boxes. Given the target market for these, it's understandable though. |

He seems hype about a lot of the aspects I am neutral on. I do really like that we don't have to destroy anything to get the fig out and back in, that was all well done.
I know this is a commemorative piece, but the book, box, box deco and signature are all irrelevant to me after first crack. It's all going back in a shipping box, taped up, and to the basement. In the end, I just want these sumbitches standing on my shelf putting fear into all the other toys that dare look his way. |

Looks really good. This really hits me with nostalgia pangs. My father, who died 18 years ago, had the original Spawn toy as his “desk buddy” back in my high school days.
