There was also the 80's fasa lead figures. The Romulan Nova is in my top ten of ship designs.
Also there were the star fleet battle minis and several hallmark ornaments though they were About a quarter the micromachine size. I also think a huge obstacle to a trek micro machine resurgance is the fact that the vast majority of rhe ships per current cannon now never existed. So they can go back any time they wanted to. I don't know what there is to disagree with. It's just facts. I'm not debating which is better, Star Trek or Star Wars, I'm just explaining one major reason Trek toys haven't had a major presence like they did in the 90's when there were 3 shows and movies all the time. Toy companies want media to help sell their toys.
If that's the case, yeah, I'd have to agree with you. Quote:
It may be on that list under a different name, as there are a few ships under names I didn't recognize at first (Like the "Valdore-Type" is the romulan ship from Nemesis. I personally didn't recognize it by that name) For the record, I believe the K'T'Inga class is the least produced klingon ship, as companies usually prefer to go with the D-7 which looks like a less detailed version. Personally I prefer the K'T'Inga for two reasons. The details make a boring design much more interesting... and it's *really* fun to say.

I'm aware of it. I never seen one personally, as I never found that line anywhere.

I wonder if one day we'll get a reboot of TNG. We all know how much Hollywood loves selling us nostalgia.

right, i forgot they changed their stance on time travel in the reboot and let my own time travel prejudices show. I doubt they will though, at least not tv or movie. It would just confuse the masses. Too bad, I always wanted to see a spin off showing sulu's command of the Excelsior.
But I currently want to see Star Trek Excelsior set in the new continuity, with J. Michael Straczynski at the helm, it would follow the adventures of the USS Excelsior, NX-2000, under the command of Captain (Or admiral) Hideki Sulu, played by George Takai (If he'd do it). This setting he'd be playing Hikaru Sulu's grandfather. Generally alotting for him to play the Sulu we all know and love, be relevent in the new continuity, and allowing the new Sulu to go on to become the Sulu we know he could be. Bring back Tim Russ to play Tuvok. And... the sky's the limit. I think this could have that same refreshened and reinvigerated feel that the new movies have, and be a more traditional trek at the same time. Unlike an Excelsior set in the Prime universe, they wouldn't be constrained to a preset timeline, and can have them bump into the ferengi, cardassians, and borg. With JMS at the helm, we know we've got a good head writer, who could work within the new setting, but still flesh it out in ways the movie franchise never could. Like I said, he could turn the movie setting more into the trek we know and love. Of course, a lot of this hinges on the charms of George Takai, and his accepting the role. He's rejected in the past because he feels no one would want to see him for being too old. But maybe if he has the option to leave after a season or two, and pass the Excelsior on to another captain when it's class goes into production (Going from NX to NCC). Of course... the new Excelsior would be massive compaired to the old trek scaled ships... but then, I guess that doesn't really matter much. Or, maybe I'm just reeeeeally missing Star Trek, and at this point anything sounds good to me. Or hey, if not the Excelsior, then maybe the Reliant, with a two hour pilot movie featuring a run-in with KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Well, if you want a small, cheap version of the nu-Enterprise, Hot Wheels has you covered. Again.

Yeah, but there are a fair few places where such things can be found, like my comic store, and some online stores. I found the series that had the Vorcha, runabout, and Borg Cube in it, for instance. (Have the Vorcha. Have blindpacks because I never get the ones I want. Aside from the BoP, and only when the wings move, Klingon ships have very little appeal to me)
If we do, Jim Parsons absolutely NEEDS to play Data. We could still get that. It's unlikely we'll see a Trek Prime series anytime soon (But yay! I have a feeling Burman and Bragga are god forever!) Tuvok was a member of the USS Excelsior, as per a flashback to Voyager, under the command of Captain Sulu, along side Janis Rand.

I've never even seen the Trek heroclix in person (My comic store never carried them), but the general game of Heroclix (I played the form that predated Heroclix... forget what it was called though) is an absolute blast.
It's really easy to play, with rules that are very accessible. If you know people who play (I don't), it's definately worth getting into.

Tim Russ's appearance in Generations predates the character of Tuvok. He was cast as Tuvok in Voyager because of his appearance as an extra there. (Or at least it helped him get his foot in the door). Either way, that's not Tuvok.

And I forgot about his appearance in generations, lol!
Truth be told, I only remember it because I was researching vulcans recently, and only remembered it after I was reading up a bit on Tuvok.

Apparently there is a kickstarter to do a web series that would have Tuvok in it. Also, Chekhov for some reason. How long are humans supposed to live in the Star Trek universe?

McCoy was over 150 when he appeared in Encounter at Farpoint. Though, I think he's the exception, over the rule. (Kelly once said he only did it so they couldn't kill McCoy off in the movies, I believe. I can't verify that, so grain of salt.)
There is a fan series online that has Chekov (Played by the actor, too) in it regularly, and has a lot of trek writers and producers behind it. A few other actors have appeared in it as well.

I've been doing a rewatch of DS9 and Voyager this month, trying to do it in about the order they aired. In one episode when O'Brian is injured someone tells him that he's going to make it and he'll die in his bed at 140. Makes sense people would live to be older with all the medical tech but who knows. Some episodes go 20 or 30 years into the future and the characters seem to have aged a ton.
A lot of things in Star Trek don't get explained in too much detail, likely because they don't want to have to come up with answers. Like the lack of currency for the Federation but people still work crappy jobs or seem to live a wealthy lifestyle. Or travel times and distances not always making sense with the information given. That's all minor stuff in the end though.

Yeah, the lack of currency is a bother, and a headscratcher when they explain "People work jobs for their own betterment," when pressed about it. I sure never would have worked at walmart had I any real options.
Though... I don't know if they tried to present this in the show, if this is backstage infor, something my mind concocted when I was a child, or what... but somehow I got it in my head that they are given "Replicator rations" (I know for a fact Voyager did, but they were in an extreme situation. I'm somehow associating this with TNG, though). Which makes a certain amount of sense. It isn't exactly currency, manages ship resources, and it also keeps people (Especially kids) from just making up absolutely everything they ever could want (You know... like what any Arker would do if given access to a replicator, lol). As for travel time... I've always just turned a blind eye to that. Kinda have to. Especially with the Abrahms movie (Earth to Vulcan in a few minutes? I can accept it because they really had no time to deal with it in a movie, but yeesh.)
