Found a K-2SO on my way home from and work and bought it. And I have to be honest and I'm being completely serious, it is by far the best Black Series in my opinion simply in terms of articulation and then gets even more points for the paint job. Seriously the figure is damn near perfect.

Not clear enough? Let me put it this way: IT'S INCONSISTENT ACROSS THE BOARD. As you can see, where Kylo Ren is closer to MU size, Luke is shorter than a Doctor Who figure. This is because whilst Luke WAS released in 2015, he's a Vintage collection rerelease just like Ahsoka, and believe it or not, he's more accurate to the term 3 3/4 inches. Trust me, I checked with my Dad's electronic measuring tape one night when I was bored, and MU(and other lines/figures in that size)were more like 4 inches, whereas a figure closer to Doctor Who figure height measured to 3 3/4 inches. Cases like Batman and Superman where the line was the EXACT SAME LINE are annoying, but since Star Wars figures and GI Joe figures are gonna be displayed separately anyway, it doesn't matter. I've learned to tolerate a few "shorties" in my collection, and if you don't, you don't get awesome pairings like that Classic Superman and Batman together. It will still bother you in the back of your mind, but you can do some scale cheats if it bothers you that much. In summary, 3 3/4 inch scale is very much a GENERAL term, so don't put overly much stock in its exactness. It's not that big of a deal.

It drives me crazy! I'll admit it,I have very few SW figures. The older ones I have are fine! They've seem to have shrank?!?! No?
The female stormtrooper on the left is joe sized!! I bought like 10 of her on eBay off of a china seller for $7 each? Pretty darn good figure! Made me buy several male troopers! these new figures tho! The only ones I personally like are the 3.75" BS first order stormtroopers&rey, and that's only if I don't try to pose their hips. To me these look fine Because this works as well Last edited by Contraband; 10-04-2016 at 01:25 PM.. |

Also, isn't that version of Ahsoka supposed to be a bit shorter anyway? I haven't checked, but I think Anakin was a bit taller that her. That might actually be a good scale cheat. If she's appropriately sized next to Anakin, she doesn't look as short. Combine it with maybe a slight action pose, and you're good.

I dunno for sure so let's do some math!
First we'll convert everything to inches for uniformity (sorry metric system). 6'2" = 74" 5'9" = 69" These toys are usually considered to be about 1/18 scale so we'll use that fraction for this determination and we'll put our results into decimals rounding to the third placement to easier note the difference. 74/18 = 4.111" 69/18 = 3.833" We can see that these numbers are not precisely exact to the size of the toys so we know then that they aren't both true 1/18 scale but the results are close enough to safely use for comparison. 4.111 - 3.833 = .278 So the Kylo Ren figure should be around .278" taller than the Luke figure. That's a little more than a quarter of an inch which isn't too far off from the difference seen in your own pictures especially when we consider that wearing the helmet and hood probably makes Adam Driver a little taller than usual. Edit: I'm sorry if I just ruined toys for anybody by bringing mathematics into the thread.

Supposedly Hasbro is rereleasing their 6inch Vader figure with the cloth on the outside to resemble the ANH version. That is awesome, but I was hoping they would have just done an entire new sculpt.

They did. This is just a rerelease for the 3 3/4 inch Black series. The 6 inch one is from Rebels.

They better give a new Vader the walgreens head sculpt, the take-apart one is pretty weak. I mean it's obviously Darth Vader but it's puffy.

The bootleg Vader lends itself well as its shoulder armor wasn't even glued down on mine. The promo figure has extra bendy elbows though as the og Vader can't pose like that without cutting away plastic on the inside of the joint.

Are you sure that is new? He looks exactly the same as the previous one just with the ANH styled cloth.
