^ same at all 3 of my local Targets. I keep thinking maybe there will be a better sale than the $18 one before I finally pounce.

Bought my first SW figure in about 20 years. Playing SWTOR has me in Force mode right now. Ive been trying to find Malgus. Is that a pipe dream at this point? Should I stop looking?

Very cool outdoor pics black dynomite. If you find a green plant area, you could throw in some storm troopers and recreate that scene when she gets capped from the back.
I wouldn't give up on malgus. He's a good figure. I'm still on the lookout for starkiller. |

^ that was the thought behind this pick. I sit on my patio and look at that tree every day thining it would be a good spot for pics. Lol of course my lazy butt waits until all the pink pistols and green leaves have just about fallen off.
I am just now getting back on my Star Wars grind. SW is my first true love but was never really into the figures. When I was a kid I had the usuals (Luke, Vader, R2) but was never all that impressed with them compared to my Ninja Turtles or Transformers. I saw Malgus in stores a few times and almost got him just because he looked cool. Now Im kicking myself. Same goes for multiple comic packs. Dont know how many Mara/Luke packs my TRU used to have that I passed over.

Whenever Im feeling a particular line of toys I find gems from other lines without knowing. Theres a big droid from the CW line I saw about 5 times. Dont remember his name because I stopped watching the show in season 2. Now that Im wanting him he's knowhere to be found. He may have been a bounty hunter or something?

Yeah, I've never seen him in person. Not even comic shops. I feel like eventually I will find him but it's hard to say.

Thats him. Do you remember the price off the top of your head. There was some reason I kept passing him up. I know he doesnt come on the normal SW card.

There are far and few between star wars characters I collect, mainly the bad guys. The comic pack I wish I picked up was the one that had durge and the one that had the yuzon vong figure. |

There's a place in Southern Cali called Frank and Sons. A rediculously huge Swapmeet for nerds. Toys from the 80s on up. Anybody in SC (its in the City of Industry) who hasn't been there, you will pee on yourself when you walk through the doors. Lol first thing I saw when I walked in was a lifesize Han in carbonite. Prices vary at certain booths. Thats where I got my ML3 Deadpool. I saw Malgus there at a few booths but the going rate was about $25. It took me 3 hours of walking around to build up the nuts to pay $30 for DP.

Don't quote me on this, but I think he's something like $13. He comes in a small rectangular box if I remember correctly. I usually stop at TRU on my way home from work on Fridays, so I'll check.

If you guys still need him, I still have that unpunched Malgus sitting in a box somewhere- anyone got anything good to trade? I'm a Mandolorian fan, so something like the EA exclusive figs (black hair preferred) or Shae Vizla would be fine.
Man...I was shocked to find Malgus stashed (by an employee I assume) behind some box sets at my Target. I never found Sahe Vizla at all though...

PM me- I started a BST forever ago but really, it was too much to keep up- my wants change all the time.
Hmmm...I just passed on that mara/Like pack the other day at my LCS for $25. I'm on the lookout for so amny characters now- like whatever ROTJ Luke it is where he's got the swivel hips. legends, I assume. That Twilik Jedi woman is aces, BTW- great shots of her! I see her occasionally and have had her in hand only to out her back- I was looking at her for customizing potential but put her back because her arm has that sculpted detail...now I may reconsider getting her just for her coolness and posability instead of for parts! Still...I bet she'd repaint great into the red Sith with Darth Maul style tats from the Legacy era....

I was suprised at how well she posed. I also thought about using her for parts but Im just gonna keep her this way, at least her upper half. I may try and do something with her legs but she's cool as is. I think they gave her a beautiful face as well. Repainting her into a sith would be sweet. Too bad I dont have those skills quite yet. Sending you a pm...

Kul has been shelf warming forever, but I'm actually surprise at how much I liked him out of package.

Did they ever make the Tactical Droid from CW? The ones that are smart but TOTAL dicks? Kul there was betrayed by one for example...
Ah. The Oracle of Google shows that they did! I've never seen one in person- anyone got one to trade or whatever? Or steer me in a direction of one? Those guys are SUCH jerks- I'd love to have one customized on some jacked up Terminator body... I love/hate those guys in the series- they're actually evil, which is odd to see in any droid, butthey die so lovely! Season 3 where Grevius has that Jedi captive and the Tactical droid is going to shock him to death...that was a great and classic scene reminicent of the opening scene in Temple Of Doom, with the droid's arm skittering arcross the floor instead of the posion antidote. Another Question: What's the articulation like on the Commando Droids? I was pleasantly suprised at the really great articulation on the Aqua Droid and am hoping the Commando is done as nicely...now that I've ever seen one in stores outside the box set (and those sets such for articulation as a rule). The pics I've seen seem to show ball-hointed hips...is that right? I can make rocker ankles if so and give them super-articulation! Man. Lucas really dropped the ball making the normal Battle Droids suck so hard- if the'd used IG-88 droids they would have conveyed the sense of threat the script seemed to call for...untill you see their idiot dialogue, that is!

I'd love to pick up one of the Commando Droids, though. Just the idea of it is hilarious. I mean translator, manual laborer, cannon fodder - even assassin (if you think of it in terms of a sleeper agent) - those make sense. But a Special Forces Droid? Quote:

So basically, the Battle Droids were never meant to be anything but cannon fodder for the Clone troops and the Jedi.

I'd love to agree with you but they used the idiot battledroids for piloting the giant starships and the tanks and every other thing- and they're SO STUPID.
In the CW series we finally see smarter stuff like the Tactical Droids commanding legions of Battledroids and then specialty droids like the things from ATOC and ROTS- giant tripod droids and tiny "gremlin" droids to wreck starfighters...in the second and third movies, the sudden diversiy of droids I found suprising at first but it makes sense if various Seperatist worlds contribute their own kinds of droids and ships to the cause. You'd think we'd see more organic field commanders though- we see a few in CW- guys like Kul or the spider admiral guy- but as many as there should be to assure success. They sure cant let the Battledroids command themselves!

See the thing is, the standard Battle Droids are not a threat to Force-wielders, but can be to those who aren't, especially if they are in large numbers. Basically, the only threat they were ever meant to pose was that they were a large, cheap and easily-replaced army and the Galactic Republic didn't have anything on the same scale for defence (until the Clone Army came into play). So basically, the Battle Droids were never meant to be anything but cannon fodder for the Clone troops and the Jedi.
