I got that bad boy for Christmas. It looks so good but I just can't bring myself to open it.

You can never really tell these days. I may get another as well so I can pose him up a bit.

One thing I really like about the 6" series is that you can open them, pose them, then put them right back into the packaging for display. I do wish the tray was a little more like Japanese toys (where it isn't shaped to exactly follow the toy's mold in a specific pose), but kudos to Hasbro for "resealable packaging".

Hey y'all, SWB 6" line collector here, well at least I collect them for my gf's son, he thinks they're the greatest thing. Anyway,I was at my LCS today to pick up a few things and all that was waiting for me was the case of wave 3. I had a minute to look through the case and found wave 2 Solo? I didn't take it even though the paint was better than the first issued,. But I have a question for those of you in the know. What is figure #12?
Thanks Edit: I dug a bit, but found no definitive answer. Did Hasbro address this at any time? Was a figure tooled poorly and temporarily scrapped? I'll start paying attention from now on, I promise!

Han is a wave 2 carry-over in wave 3 cases, which is a standard practice for Hasbro. I assume it's the main reason collectors haven't been snapping him up as quickly as Boba.
#12 hasn't been released yet, but it's been announced. The 6" Series breaks down this way (so far): Wave One (2013 Wave 1) 01. Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) 02. Darth Maul 03. Sandtrooper (ANH) 04. R2-D2 Wave Two (2013 Wave 2) 05. Princess Leia (Slave) 06. Boba Fett (ESB deco) 07. Greedo 08. Han Solo (ANH) Wave Three (2014 Wave 1) 09. Stormtrooper (ANH) 10. Obi-Wan Kenobi (ROTS) 11. Luke Skywalker (Bespin) Wave Four (2014 Wave 2) 12. Anakin Skywalker (ROTS) 13. Chewbacca (ANH) 14. Clone Trooper (AOTC) Wave Five (2014 Wave 3) XX. Darth Vader (ROTJ) XX. Luke Skywalker (ROTJ) XX. Sandtrooper (ANH; redeco) Upcoming releases shown/announced at Toyfair*: Jabba The Hutt Scout Trooper w/Speeder Bike *Subject to change Exclusives SDCC 2013 - Boba Fett (ROTJ deco) w/Han Solo in Carbonite

Since they're referring to him as Emperor Palpatine and not Darth Sidious, I'm going to guess he's going to be modeled on his OT appearances instead of the prequels.
That would also makes sense considering both Luke and Vader from Jedi are going to be released as well, and Palpatine's release would allow us to recreate the throne room scenes.

I'm definitely taking this with a grain of salt, but this new listing at BBTS seems to confirm the postponement of Chewbacca from the next wave of the 6" Black Series:
2014 Star Wars 6" Black Series 02 - Case of 4 - Star Wars 2013-2014 Star Wars Star Wars Black As long as Chewie shows up at some point, I'm honestly cool with this. By postponing him (and cancelling the horrible plan to make Obi-Wan a "carry-over" figure), Hasbro has made room in that wave for re-releases of Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper !!! I was lucky and found Boba Fett in my area, but I'm still searching for a Stormtrooper, so I really hope that this new case assortment is factual. I've only seen it at Toys R Us, in my area. They have plenty of Obi-Wans and plenty of the carry-over Hans in stock, but the Bespin Lukes and Stormtroopers disappeared quickly. I was lucky enough to snag a Luke before they sold out.
