I saw those at Target the other day. 6 inch are extremely easy to find here.

Okay, so seems as though its just my area. Well I work at TRU and my store had so many slave Leia waves it's not even funny, I think I'm gonna check if we have the Vader wave in the back, bbts has it listed as series 3, so the box should read wv 3 correct? Thanks for your help and wish me luck lol.
So far the only figure I've had to order online is Boba Fett (the regular ESB version) I've managed to find every other figure in person even though I've only gotten a few of 'em. Edit: I did some googling and found that apparently the boxes for Vader's wave (apparently this is actually wave 5) is boxed as "SW 6 INCH FIGURE AST W3 14" hope that helps. I guess it's wave 3 for 2014, but wave 5 overall since we got 2 waves in 2013.

Honestly, too long for most people. Me personally I'd rather see the ESB white padded jacket that she had at Echo base and for the rest of the first half of the movie. I just like that look more, it retains some level of royalty but also seems way more practical and allowing of bad-assery, just my thoughts.

My grandma just picked up a 6 inch ROTJ Luke for me but I have to wait until Christmas. Looks like Boba won't be lonely up on the wall anymore.

Anyone find the new wave of 6" out in the wild yet? I haven't seen anything.

I saw a lone Chewie yesterday. Don't know if that's new but it's the newest I've seen.

Just picked up Chewie and Protofett after a about a month of searching. I also really liked the idea/irony of putting Chewie next to Groot and my Guardians. So the Wookie is the only SWB 6" figure that I have kept out of his packaging.

Were you like me, where after a good while searching (you longer than I) and finally finding the Proto-Fett it just barely feels like it doesn't measure up to the hype? Good toy still don't get me wrong, but I have to keep it separated from regular Boba Fett by a few figures or it just seems less in some way. Like I spent so much time looking and wanting it that now that's mine it seems to sparkle just a little bit less. That's how it goes sometimes though, and then you're on the hunt for another.

I know what you mean. Once I finally got him and put him on the shelf, I was a little disappointed. He is literally an all-white version of the ESB figure, even though the Ralph McQuarrie preproduction design had more than a few differences besides the color.
I also keep him apart from ESB Fett, but mostly due to him not being a numbered figure and not an actual film character.

Went to TRU today and the only new 6" figure they had left was Yoda, it's a good thing the TIE fighter pilot isn't a "must have" for me but I'd still like to find it.

Instead of feeling excited that I finally found him, I felt relieved that I wouldn't have to obsessively check out Walgreens locations on a regular basis, for the foreseeable future. I'm glad that I have him, but, like you guys, I just don't consider him to be an integral part of my collection. |

Well this is based on the test film suit and not the concept art, what I would have liked for Hasbro to maybe have smoothed the armor out (less worn and dented) and give him that smaller machine gun looking thing he had in that test footage. Though not making his cape look like a Star Wars beach towel was probably a good call. I would like to see a McQuarrie concept figure later still but hopefully not as an exclusive.

Hey Everyone!
In case you weren't aware, our friend MWB has released another Ultimate Guide to add to your collection. This one is sure to be a must have along side his Ultimate Guide to Transformers, Ultimate Guide to G.I.Joe, Totally Tubular 80s Toys, etc. The Ultimate Guide to Star Wars: 1977-1985 is out now we're pleased to share a few pages with you here. MWB has also been kind enough to agree to a brief interview, but we thought it would be more fun to allow you a chance to ask MWB a question. There are some ground rules for the questions, so check'em out: 1. Short and Sweet - We're not submitting a tl;dr question. A couple of sentences, tops. 2. Keep it relevant - The focus should be on the The Ultimate Guide to Star Wars: 1977-1985 or Star Wars as a whole. We may sneak in a few other toy related questions if they're good though, so 3. Be polite! - Yes, it's a well known fact that MWB is a New England Patriots fan. You shouldn't let this disgusting fact stop you from asking questions, but make sure they're classy! (if possible, hold your pinky up while typing out your question). Post your questions, comments or concerns in the thread below! Now, on to the Star Wars sexiness. Check out these pages from the book, then head over to Amazon and get your copy NOW! The Ultimate Guide to Star Wars: 1977-1985 |
