Yep, while out hunting last night and today, I saw that Walmart and Target both had nearly all of their Star Wars stuff on clearance, even newer 6" Black figures, like Stormtrooper Han, Stormtrooper Luke, and the Tie-Fighter pilot.
I passed on the Inquisitor's Tie Fighter from the Rebels line, on clearance for only $13, but I may return for it. The only exceptions to the clearance prices seem to be the two newest waves of 3 3/4" Black figures, which are in these odd pre-Force Friday displays that seem to be popping up at Wal-Mart. And yeah, the ridiculous $12.83 is the price for the 3 3/4" figures EDIT: Now that I think about it, since I've shifted my attention to the 6" Black line, I've only purchased three 3 3/4" Black Series figures (Starkiller, R5-G19, and my brand-new Commander Doom) over the past 18 months. They all came from either TrU or Books-A-Million, where I expected to pay a little more, so maybe $13 for the 3 3/4" figures has been the standard for the big box retailers for a while. I'm honestly not sure. Either way, I was surprised to see how much they sell for now. Target has also been a disappointment. They haven't restocked anything since spring. |

The last three waves of the 6" figures have been almost as tough to find too, but I've been REALLY lucky with that line.

My Wal-Mart has gotten rid of everything Star Wars except for the 6" Jabba and speeder bike packs which they marked down to $35, which is still way too much for either of those so it's no surprise that they still aren't selling. I can only guess that this is so they can move where they have the Star Wars stuff and get everything new for Force Friday.

6" Jabba and speeder bike are down to $19.99 at my area Targets and Walmarts.
It's really interesting that they wont discount the peg warmers though. At 2 TRU stores, I saw about 40 Obi-Wan and he was the only figure. I saw a Woman with a clipboard and could only assume she was taking note of what she needs to order or just simply taking inventory of what was on the shelves. I made it a point to tell my Daughter, loudly, that they will stay there until the end of time unless they are discounted and that they would have to be discount at $5 to go in anyones cart. I find it hard to believe that when they do these inventory counts, that they cant see these figures going nowhere. And we are talking both series 3 and 6 Obi-Wan on these pegs. Mostly series 3 that I see. With dust. All over the tops of the boxes. |

At my Walmart we immediately took the Black Series displays down within 2 days because that next day the other Walmart had the mod planner leaked and corporate went nuts about Star Wars stuff.
That cardboard feature was technically for TFA merchandise. |

During lunch, I went to a smaller Walmart in the next county over because previously they had some vintage collection (nothing special) and 3D figures marked down to $7. I had bought what I wanted at that price and left the rest. Now with this push to move stock ahead of TFA, I thought they may have marked them down even more so that I could army build some battle droids and stuff. So a drove out there and they had put the remaining stock in the clearance aisle, FOR $12.83 A FIGURE!!! They had not sold at regular price, they had not sold at the mark down price, so lets raise the price above the original MSRP. Genius.

Now that the assortments are fully reactivating (in preparation for a push in a few weeks), everything is lifted to the current MSRP of the Black series, which IS 12.99. |

I too have noticed some wal marts and targets have clearanced the star wars stuff obviously for TFA. I have picked up a few command sets (I'm a big plastic army men fan) for good prices because of this.

My local stores are mostly empty of Star Wars currently, which I guess is good for making sure a lot of Force Awakens stuff gets ordered. Target has a few Jabbas and Scout Trooper w/ speeder bike sets, marked down to $17. I had been putting off getting the speeder bike, but I had to get it at that price. Might get a second one.

idk if this is news worthy or not, but I saw this at one of my Wal-Marts that I go to as part of my job. I think they screwed up the SW display, cuz there are figures under the top part and very hard to get to. also, I've yet to see any of these black series figures in any of my other Wal-Marts. Also saw some weird TMNT hot wheel looking cars and Dale's RV from the Walking Dead lego set type thing that McFarland puts out...it was huge!!!
I just noticed that those black series figures are over $12?? damnacious!!! good thing i don't collect anything like this no more lol |

walmart by my house just put out the display. they had everyone except carbonite han and the jawas. either they didn't have them (the display was full and looked untouched) or someone beat me to them...again, probably an employee too

I decided to get the speeder bike set at my local Wal-Mart since it was being clearanced out. I got the last one on the shelf.

I saw the Carbonite Han at my LCS yesterday when I was picking up my pull list. It looks like Hasbro decided to re-use the carbonite slab from the Vintage Collection Slave I ship. The Han figure itself looked ok ... not great, not bad, just ok. There was a set of what appeared to be manacles in the package too.

Clearance priced to what? My Wal-Mart seemed to think that $5 off was clearance but to me $35 is still too much for this pack. I'm just curious, I don't need/want this speeder bike set since I got the shadow squadron, but I'd just like to know what you scored it for.
