As much as I've hated Jaina for ages, the figure looks interesting enough. I'll just paint the flight suit orange and give the lightsaber to another figure. |

Yeah, as pissed as I am that people exploited the poll to get Jaina chosen because they were butthurt, this Jaina figure turned out better than I was expecting.

Plus as you say, it's a really nice figure.

Maybe it's just perspective in a couple of photos, but Jaina's knees look osteoarthritic. Hope they look better in the final release. Also, her arms seem on the thin side, but again, it might just be due to the pose and/or perspective.
Tarkin looks outstanding. Wow. Terrific sculpt. |

So happy that super articulated 3.75" figures are returning since that is the only area of Star Wars collecting that interests me. Hasbro would have made so much money off me for the past few years if they didn't switch to 5 points of articulation in their main line.
Does anyone at this point know if 5poa is going to continue or is it going to be SA from here on out? |

So Thrawn and Jaina Solo...awesome. Now how about a 6" Mara Jade that has a better head on her shoulders than the 3.75"? Could that ever happen? Please?

Wait, so Jaina is the girl in black? I thought that was Jyn in her Empire disguise from the end of the movie.

Given the cheat race between Starkiller fans and Jaina fans I'm glad Jaina won, she at least is a vaguely decent character unlike that wreck of fanservice that is Starkiller. I just hope they tighten up how the poll is conducted for this years fan poll.
Plus as you say, it's a really nice figure. No, but I wouldn't mind a figure of Jyn in Imperial gear either, as long as she came with a full-face helmet so as to facilitate use as generic Ground Crew. Last edited by Jester; 04-16-2017 at 07:59 AM.. |

Okay, just looked at the high res images. They gave Jaina a pretty neat design for a lightsaber.
And...I haven't seen Rebels, so I don't know if his accessories come from that, but...Look, I know Thrawn in the Legends books was an avid art collector, but would he really have THE HOLY GRAIL?! |

Well, there is the fact that Black Series SDCC exclusives are always a figure that will get a normal release later on, just with extra accessories and a fancier box, but I do believe they also explicitly said it at the panel.

Tarkin!!!
In the old published-fanfic EU she was one of the children of Han and Leia. She's only getting a toy because a bunch of people trolled/spammed the voting system, that poll was an awful indicator of how upset people can horribly skew/abuse a system which allows return-voting. Anyway, I'd like to be excited for the new Vintage line, but it's both too little too late, and knowing that the line is really just going to be a mass-retail version of the Wal-Mart exclusives means likely all but one or two figures for the first year or two will be an easy pass. In other words, don't expect much in the way of truly "new" figures in the new vintage line. Maybe two or three a year at least until 2019 (which is part of how Hasbro will maintain their profit margin on these). Great for those that weren't able to get the Wal-Mart exclusives though. With the laat poll, I didn't have a big preference for who one. All I know is that the voting system was discovered to be easily exploited by going on the site in an incognito tab, thereby circumventing the system they used to detect whether or not one had voted, and allowing basically infinite votes. Seeing as how there were multiple far more popular characters on that poll, I'm fairly certain that that poll did not end up being actually representative of what fans wanted most.

Now if Tarkin were to come out with the levels of paint detail that his prototype has I would gladly pay a few dollars more!

I read somewhere he has something like 300 paint apps compared to the mainline average of 80.
As for the fan poll, I wanted one of the female characters to win, and one did. But as has already been mentioned that doesn't change the fact the poll was horrendously rigged and became a cheating match between Starkiller and Jaina fans.

Because he's an exclusive? It shouldn't have anything to do with paint apps. All their figures would have different prices if you factored in individual costs.
Does anyone know what the exclusive is with the Luke and Landspeeder? It can't be the whole entire set. |

With the FO Stormtrooper and Jyn it was just the packaging that was exclusive, this might be the same.

That Luke is real tempting, may be my first Black Series figure.
Disappointed we still have no Ezra... EDIT: And just realized Luke is SDCC exclusive.... SMH Hasbro. Last edited by Toonstrack; 04-18-2017 at 07:31 AM.. |

Different packaging for the SDCC release. When they did Jabba a few years ago, the packaging was designed to look like his throne room from ROTJ. They might do something similar for the landspeeder. According to Jedi Insider the exclusive will also have some extra paint apps.
