Looks pretty great. Also, according to their twitter, this is an all new sculpt, so pretty great on that end too!

Wasn't sure I was going to be into it when this was teased but it'll be a definite preorder for me. Not sure where Im going to fit him, my SF display is already packed with Neca,Sota, Storm and Bandai lol.

Outside of straight repaints or the MK Ninjas, from what I can tell they develop new sculpts for practically all their figures. Like even generic bare arms and legs are hardly re-used it seems from my experience with their figures.

Here's a side by side with both releases. I'm curious if they're going to be the same height.

So this is a totally new figure of the same character? Is this a new mold of a the same character? If so, its kind of a crappy thing to happen. I like Storm but I wish they would release new characters instead of revisiting old characters they just did like a few yrs ago.

Also, as far as new characters: E.Honda just came out this year and Storm is supposed to be doing a UltraSF Balrog since they showed a graphic of him at one of the cons. |

I'm glad people are getting a second crack at the character.
As someone who has the original Zangief the placement of this release is a little disappointing because the SF release schedule is so impossibly slow, and there are so many main characters waiting to be released (Blanka, Vega, Cammy, Dhalsim, etc). His SFV look is not that different from the classic look, either. Again, great for everyone who needs him but I hope Storm gets rolling a little quicker with the new characters. |

The Storm collectibles street fighter figures look great but I kind of wish someone else had the license. I'd love the have more affordable street fighter figures, $80-$100 a pop is a bit too much for me. Ideally it would be nice if we had a similar dynamic like with the Dragonball figures, sh figarts for the high end stuff and Bandai dragon stars that's more affordable and domestic. But that's just my two cents, great looking figure.

The original Zangief releases are now like $300-400 on the aftermarket so I'm sure people who missed out on the original releases are happy with this announcement.

The new torso and overall look of Zangief looks better than the old one.

I'm a huge Storm fan, they consistently make great figures for characters nobody was even asking for lol. World Heroes Perfect? Golden Axe? They're one of my favorite companies. |

These Street Fighter 2 era figures are great. They look like the art from the 30 year old game.

Figuarts is doing sfv figures too. They just released Sagat and Vega not long ago. There hasn’t been “cheap” street fighter figures since SF4’s figures, which were very poorly made (I had several that literally crumbled just standing on a shelf).
