That's true, but I've seen a few still clearanced at TRU as well. It depends a lot on the character. I was trying to set up two extremes to better showcase the differences. Which is why I mentioned Play Arts Kai instead of SOTA, since they'll both still be "retail" lines, unlike SOTA.

I don't think they will.

Given that there's a modern Guile I'm guessing it'll be fairly easy to retool the figure to the classic version, so even if it's not a wildly successful line we still might get him. (Same with Raiden and Johnny Cage in the MK line.)

Fingers crossed on both accounts.

Man I hope we get ALPHA figures sooner than not. I have fond memories of playing Alpha 2 during the weekends. Shit...I hope these figures all have thigh swivels!

is $20-25 range normal/typical for the 6'' scale Street fighter figures? I was at 1 of my local shops today, he has a small wall full of the figures.. I love them due to iconic appeal and articulation alone, but I have yet to buy any, and as the saying goes why start now haha. I really want that evil Ryu figure, just hard to justify $21.99 + tax.

I may have to get a few, are there any standout figures to look out for, the store I'm talking about is a good size craft/toy place, local vendor, he orders figures in adds a small mark up, $21.99 seemed to be the average price for the figures, he has like 4-5 pegs full, and another small storage room outback with a full wall of doubles and others... are there specific ones that are either more rare or one's I should look for first?

I'd be satisfied if they were merely adequate with minimal full posability. Like ball jointed hips and shoulders, hinged knees and elbows and swivel neck. These would be like, the MINIMUM I'd want, but I'd want it for every fig rather than a mish mash of articulation. I'll probably buy 'em if they have at least that.
Naturally, if they turned out to be awesome, that would be way better. But I'm keeping my expectations low 'cause of past experiences with Jazwares product. |

I've got these on pre-order so I'll be picking them up, looks like they might need a bit of paint on the hinges though.

The pre-order pics on toysrus.com have painted joints, they might not need to be painted, it would be a complete fail if i had to paint joints on a figure.

The Ryu and Ken mold looks like they have major man-boobs. Hopefully it looks better in person. I'm psyched, though. I'll get as many of the original 12 SF2 characters as I can.

I just picked these up at tru today. Overall they are ok figures. I wanted to get them so I can display them with marvel vs capcom. Articulation is decent but no real good accessories like ryu's haduken fireball. They do come with hand accessories but no wrist pivot so you can't do a good haduken pose. I'll need to put them next to my mu figures to see the scale inconsistency. Sagat is pretty huge though.

Here we go guys. Marvel vs Capcom style
I passed on Guile because the paint apps were all messed up and he was the last one. I'll find em next time I'm at TRU. I wasn't really interested to get Seth and El Fuerte. They will be releasing M. Bison vs Akuma and Chun Li vs Vega. Both must gets for me. |
