I haven't received the Ryu Revolution from Dragonspaw yet. It's been like 15 days too, He shipped from Canada but I'm starting to get nervous. The Revolution's Ryu is a 7 inch scale figure so he won't fit in with regular Sota's but he's awesome looking and well articulated.
I got lucky and found my Sagat from Ebay for 60 dollars. Some of them are going for over 100 dollars on Ebay and Amazon has him for 129 or something if I remember correctly. If you ever decide you want to part with Sodom, T Hawk, Adon let me know. Heck I'd buy another Ryu figure as well. I have tons to trade from Marvel Universe, G.I Joe, Marvel Legends, Star Wars and etc. I can buy them as well as trade.

I have to say it's pretty awesome. It's of course taller then the Series 1 Ryu because it's a 7 inch scale. It's easliy as articulated and has a better head sculpt I think. It fits great with the 7 inch Neca Street Fighter IV figures. I totally recommend it. Also got Ken and Feihong! Thanks Dragonspaw!

That's just a mistake in that Guile pic right? Squeenix wouldn't just give you one sonic boom effect piece. Would they? Either way I'm not wild about his face, not as fugly as Akuma, but not better than sota Guile in my opinion. but Ibuki looks good, I might get her

funny, i prefer the face sculpt on this Guile, IMO it looks way better than his sota counterpart, sculpt wise, less sad, more pissed off, i mean, look at the expression in his eyes.

Other than the horrendous jazwares street fighter figures, what are some other 3.75" or 4" street fighter figures. Right now I'm on the lookout for microman chun li and sakura. I just got the revoltech zangief but the revoltech ryu and chun li are super expensive. I'm particularly wondering if they have released akuma or bison in this scale.

I might ease up when he's fully painted, but for the price you pay for a play arts kai figure, I don't want the dog tag as part of the body mold (and it looks like it is) and a toe bend for that total "sonic boom" pose. Which this doesn't have. Plus, where's the damn comb?! No way you can be a military man with messy hair. Even if it is for America

In the Revoltech SFO line, there was Ryu, Ken, Zangief, Chun-Li, and Guile, plus the Chinese novel guest characters Hico, Teiran, Baichofu, and Leikochu.

I should have collected more SOTA back in the day. Even the Revolutions figures look good. I don't mind the scale, since it looks like Ryu is still substantially shorter than Sagat. Also the 1st SOTA Ryu looks too happy. Ryu only ever looked happy in the SFIIV anime. Meanwhile NECA's Ryu looks like he is GTL'ing and Play Arts Kai Ryu is cool but he looks like he is having a tantrum(since he is based on SFIV Ryu).
BTW my Play Arts Kai Ryu broke, the pec hinge or whatever in the chest snapped off. I was able to fix it and retain articulation but damn if I hadn't built Gundams before and taken some toys apart to fix, I would not have been able to fix it. Play Arts Kai has great sculpts and articulation but jeez one would think their factory workers would at least wait for paint to DRY before putting joints together.

Ah, the questionable QC of play arts kai figures strikes again. I'm only interested in buying cammy and chun li PAK figs. I saw the Ryu on display today and Shin Denetsu is right, he looks like he's saying "this is the worst birthday ever! *sobs*"
I think the sculptor was trying to make him look stern, but made the mouth to frowney. And the least said about the face on PAK Akuma, the better. Neca Ryu -to me- looks like he's constapated Last edited by Dark Hayabusa; 11-15-2012 at 10:08 AM.. |

Didn't realize there was a Street Fighter thread (looks like it's been pretty inactive since Jazwares 3.75 line crapped out), but I thought I'd revive it with a few customs I made recently. Hopefully some of you other Arkers have similar 3.75 SF customs to share! I'm determined to get a 3.75 set of the original 8 world warriors going, all customs except I'll be using Jazwares Blanka since it actually didn't turn out so bad. SF thread reboot! lol
Link to my SF custom thread if anyone is curious: http://www.toyark.com/3-75-street-fi...rriors-158365/ |

Aw man, I REALLY miss SOTA ...
With the popularity of Mezco's Mortal Kombat line, and with SF V coming out in the near future, this would be the perfect time for NECA to revive their Street Fighter line, if they still have the license. I wasn't a fan of NECA's SF IV figures, but since NECA seems to really enjoy paying homage to older toy lines, it would be great to see them do some Street Fighter figures with an aesthetic closer to the older SOTA figures.

Now that is impressive. I used to collect this line religiously, but I never got into all the crazy variants like that. I generally just got my favorite colors among the cast...
