So will these use the MOTUC buck like all their other Ultimates figures?

*Cancels MonsterArts pre-orders* Super7, you now have a reserved spot in my monthly budget. |

Pretty excited, even for the Reaction. I feel there's lots of great art/posters/images from Godzilla that will make great card backs. And pretty interested to see what the Ultimates will look like later this year.

The reaction card backs will be perfection. That is how super7 gets me to pay $20 a piece on these reaction throwbacks.
I’m truly excited and very interested in the ultimates. They need to really bring their “A” game, neca did a great job but never got the other monsters. If super 7 can deliver on the other Kaiju and dare I say, a new movie version of king ghidorah, then they will be on to something special. |

This is kind of a perfect marriage, as long as Super7 keeps to the details and accessories for Ultimates.
Very intrigued, looking forward to 2022. |

This is good news IF it means NECA won't be making anymore any time soon. I'm sick to death of straightening up 38 Godzlillas at my local Target.

I wonder which version of Godzilla they'll start with. Also, I hope they get the license for the whole Toho line. Just 29 variations of Godzilla can get boring, but Anguirus, Rodan, etc.? That would be awesome.
I also think it would be cool to see them do the ReAction card-backs like the Pee-Wee Playhouse figures; a cut-out of a cityscape to display the figures with.

Oh man. As long as they make any of the other monsters I'm all in. And that looks pretty clearly like one of the Heisei series Godzillas in the teaser image so I wonder if they'll pull from one generation or if it'll all be scattered. Lots of the Showa series designs look like they'd match the current aesthetics of the Ultimates lines.

That's odd, my Targets were emptied of Godzilla months ago. I haven't seen one since maybe October/November. NECA definitely isn't making anymore anytime soon.

I also hope for Jumbo Machinder type of figures. Although, pretty much impossible to purchase if they keep similar pricing on prior figures alike.
However, I'm concerned that TC & TMNT Ultimates momentum has decreased and no new waves shall be announced |

Their pricing across their various ultimate lines has me really concerned about how much the Godzilla figures will cost. If they want over $40 for Conan built on a He-Man body then should we expect this line to start creeping in on Monsterarts price levels?

I mean all of their TMNT figures are $45 too and literally use zero from MOTU. I suspect it might be going towards $50, but who knows.

Unless the Optimus Prime they showed last year was cancelled, I'm assuming they're still doing those so seems likely to me that'll happen. But then again they have the Mazinger license and didn't do one, so who knows.

That's a fair counterpoint, although it makes the Conan figures look even lazier. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well shit, there goes any hope of NECA getting the license again after this movie fiasco is done. Now we're going to have to deal with subscription based, overpriced toys with insane shipping costs that can only be bought online. Not to mention buying the figures like 8 months before they actually come out.

There's also the Super7 stores, which I'm lucky enough to live by in San Diego. I stopped by there today to pick up the Conan Ultimates and talked to the guys there a little bit. They said that they have access to everything from Toho and that they're planning on doing sofubi vinyls and the giant robot line (I can't remember the name). He threw out Jet Jaguar and Mechagodzilla as examples for that line. I asked about Ultimates and waves, he said he thought the first one was going to just be Godzilla, but following that they should do waves of figures. |

I'm not very happy about this at all.
I'm looking at my 2002 Godzilla and seeing how great NECA had made this figure for $25. I'm looking at the offerings for the various Ultimates and they look like over priced McFarlane figures. Too large and visible pins everywhere. |
