I thought this was a great $35 figure, and would be ok up to $45 like most Ultimates, but I don't get the $55 price on this. I had assumed that was only for the Transformers Ultimates since they're all a bit bigger. This is an already made mold, nothing is new here except the glow in the dark and sun sensitive paint. I know shit gets more expensive to make over time but a $20 price increase makes no sense at all unless they're just not expecting to sell many.
If all Ultimates are now $55, going to just have to pick and choose A LOT more than I used to with them. This figure just doesn't do enough for me, I like the blue and white for the pants/shirt, but that's about it. I know Super7 is more about play but I'm never going to take the figure out and heat up in the sun. |

I wonder if they'll ever re-release the original one? I missed out on it and seeing this one makes me sad.

He looks cool, but it's way too expensive! I'd find $30 a stretch for this type of figure. Glad I still have my original from childhood.

$55 for this? Much as I appreciate Toxie like the other guy, I can come up with better things to buy for $55 instead.

I'm not sure what version of Toxie this figure is supposed to be based on, but the $55 sticker is definitely a kick below the belt. Super7 needs to figure out a way to increase production/distribution to bring down the price on Ultimates - especially since this mold has been used 3 times now. The sticker shock is going to kill their lines. I know Hasbro is a huge company and NECA is pretty big, too, but they can produce some incredible figures at about the same scale for almost half the cost. Half is a big difference. I don't know what the solution is, but we at least need more variety. I would have love to been present for the discussion as to how this version of this figure seemed like a good idea. Did they only make a third of their money back with the first release?

If this had something new I might have been more interested, but it's literally everything from the first two figures just painted differently, and costs 57% more than the first release figure.
I sort of get standardized pricing for a line, but look at the Thundercats line and the big Mumm-Ra is $15 more than the rest of the line. It did make sense to me at the time but doesn't make any sense now. I've defended their pricing a lot, but I just don't get this. |

But I got it. 2. I FREAKING LOVE IT! I don't know why exactly but it's so nutty and Kaufman-esque. I love the Toxic line and I am hoping for this line to continue maaaybe more than TMNT. The figures would be SO SO SO SO SO NUTS. I'm paying the $55 for the greater good! It's $35 for the figure. $20 for MORE TOXIC CRUSADERS!!!! PLEASE BRIAN PLEASE *SNIFFLE* |

The price increase isn't the sort of thing they'd want to announce all over their social media channels anyway lol. I'm fine with the price increase for the somewhat one-off releases like this but when it comes to entire waves of figures at $55, I have a bit of trepidation.

I’m waiting for different characters. Price stings for sure, but this is the way.
