Not bad at all for a comic-style Superman. I'm liking most of Sideshow's DC stuff, blue Batman aside.
I'll stick with my Hot Toys Evil Superman, though. It has the benefit of being Christopher Reeve while also having darker colors to fit in better with most modern 1/6 characters. |

It looks great so far but I am hesitant on going for this or Batman until I hear some reviews about Sideshow's new hero body.
The body Joker uses is garbage. Harley turned out great and while the new Sideshow female body is well designed, the materials used to make it are super cheap and it is extremely floppy. These figures are not worth the $180-$200 Sideshow is asking. |

I like the body, not sure how it holds up though as we haven't had tests. supermans body looks better than DC batmans, looks less wire'ry/bulky.
I like the face sculpt and don't care that is not reeves, BUT the jaw line seems a little low and to flat. when I get home from work I might photoshop his head to a look that fits better. I know that it fits with the representation of that style superman which I like, just feel the jaw could be rounder. Last edited by TimespliTT; 04-09-2014 at 08:35 AM.. |

The head and neck look too thin for that body. Or bulk him up just a smidge.

I like stuff they make but there figures look to much of detailed Barbie dolls someone say action figure to me I imagine action figures you buy at toy store not action figure with doll like body parts.

I too dislike the oversized "doll" format and hope someday for a new, improved sculpt of the 7-inch "Justice Society Series 2" Superman that was designed on paper by Alex Ross and released about 5 years ago. Alex's rendering of classic, older Superman in the Kingdom Come miniseries was definitive for me. The 7-inch figure had flaws, but was much improved over two previous versions by DC Direct and remains my favourite until something better comes along. That said, for its category, this big Sideshow specimen looks 'super.' The poseable cape is ingenious. Rgds

That head belongs on a bigger body, it make him look anorexic.

Superman's abdomen-stomach area is extremely thin and awkward looking, which is where we get the anorexic look. Made even weirder by how bulky his upper torso and arms still are and then the neck and head look even bulkier than those.
