I'm not sure what the rest of it says, but definitely has 2017 May written on it.
I will be pre ordering MR Maul the minute it's made available. |

Took them long enough to make a Figuart out of TFA's damn protagonist. I guess even Figuarts suffers from "gurlz dont sell" syndrome.

I'm really sold on that Han Solo. Rey and Finn look great too.

ah finally, Rey.
I mailed BlueFin Corp at the beginning of this Year and asked them to do Rey and Finn. The BlueFin Member said, he will forward this to the right people in Tamashii Nations, and a few Months later...they indeed show these 2 Figures. It seems they really listen to Fans, and that is a good thing. I asked them again today, if they also can do Rey ( White Robes ) and Finn ( Resistance Outfit ). I hope these 2 Versions will also be Produced soon Last edited by Ventus; 10-28-2016 at 05:17 PM.. |

Kind of funny since Bandai didn't want to do Tuxedo Mask in the Sailor Moon line because he was a guy.

It has nothing to do with Gender.
More with the popularity of the Character itself. If a Company is not sure if the Figure / Character will sell good among Collectors, i think they take some time to think about creating the Character as an Action Figure. For Tuxedo Mask...i do not like the Character very much. If i would buy Sailor Moon Figures, more Sailor Moon itself but not burn my Money for Tuxedo Mask. Same for Star Wars; iam glad i wrote that Email to BlueFin so that they really realize: "uh there are indeed Fans that are asking for a certain Character" If no one tells ask them "Please do this one", how should they even know of the Character will sell good among Collectors. I did the same for: S.H. Figuarts Enchantress I asked them to do one, since many Fans really would like to see the Figure. I hope the other 2 Versions of Rey and Finn and maybe an Enchantress start to show up next Year. I can only tell Collectors: If you want a certain Figure > go and write to the Companys that you want them!! The more people are asking for a certain Character, the Chance is greater for them to being produced. I also wrote Square Enix, if they could do Birth by Sleep Play Arts Kai. They said (Same as BlueFin) they will forward my Message to the right People, who are making the Choices. Last edited by Ventus; 10-29-2016 at 12:48 AM.. |

I'm digging the Rey fig, but does she look a little too clean & matte to anyone else? Same with BB8. The trademark of Rebel characters & droids is their gritty, sandy dirtiness.

But what i do not understand is, why they did these Outfits first.
Storm Trooper and Rey Resistance; Both Outfits are shown only a short duration in the Movie. It does not make sense to me at all, why they are not Producing the Main Outfits first, that are shown the whole time in the Movie. |

Becuase the Rey Resistance one is far superior to the Bride of Frankenstein cosplay she had on throughout the movie.

I'm sure we'll get the Jakku version soon enough regardless. |

Oh wow, Maul looks great. It really helps that his look fits perfectly with that of a japanese demon which some samurai helmets use anyway. I think I will pick this one up, if he is not extremely pricey (which he will be....)

At some point, all of the Star Wars MR releases have been on sale at Amazon for $70ish; so not too bad.

If I was to guess, maybe they decided to do the Resistance outfit first because her Jakku outfit has been done multiple times from all different companies at this point. It made their 1/12 scale figure of Rey an immediate standout from the rest? Something different to offer? Or maybe they just like that version more...
Is this why? I don't really know. I'm sure we'll get the Jakku version soon enough regardless. A Finn Figure has not been produced so far...no Mafex Version as far as i can remember. I really hope Finn Resistance and Rey Jakku will also be shown the next upcoming Months. I really did not want to buy 4 Star Wars Figures at all only wanted Finn Resistance and Rey Jakku, now i have to buy the first 2, in case the other 2 Versions will not follow so soon at all. But as much as i hate the Downside of having 2 Rey and 2 Finn Figures in the End, the good thing is, i can use the first 2 (Finn Trooper and Rey Resistance) for good Battle Scenes with Kylo Ren at my Shelf While the other 2 Versions, (that will hopefully follow soon) can be used for a "chill and hang out together" scene ;D |

Fans in general dislike Finn. He strikes a negative chord similar to that of Jar-Jar. I gather that the 12-inch figure by Hot Toys is the weakest seller in the line. We're unlikely to see many more figures based on an unpopular character. Lucasfilm is in a bit of a jam, as they signed actor John Boyega to play him for at least one more film.
I'd like to see an attractive figure of Rey in something more colorful and interesting than the Jakku mummy wrappings or the standard drab-brown Jedi robes and riding boots. What about some sort of Jedi battle armor, resembling the guard outfits seen in Rebels? Or maybe a purple leisure suit? |

I am loving that Rey! This is like a dream come true for me. The Resistance outfit is my favorite suit for her. I just hope the hilt has a detachable blade with it.

The impression I've gotten is that the general reception of Finn has been at least pretty warm. There are some people who hate him, but many of those people also think that Rey is a "Mary Sue" (as if she did more unbelievable things than Anakin or Luke, but I'm not having that conversation right now) or complain that Kylo is no more than a whiny wannabe Vader (as if that's not kinda the point of the character, a character who desparately wants to be Vader but is still developing as a villain), or that the "badassness" of a character is more important than good writing (Boba Fett, anyone? I mean, I think he's awesome too, but he's still one of the weaker characters in the OT; also, again, see the Kylo v. Vader point earlier), so I don't necessarily trust their judgement on what makes a good character. Wow, this post ended up being way more of a mini-rant than I expected it to be going in, but TL;DR: Finn's reception within the SW fanbase is probably quite a bit warmer than you perceive it to be. |

Fair enough. "Opinions are like backsides: everybody has one." Still, the fact that Finn figures scrape bottom in the secondary market seems telling.
I don't "burst a blood vessel," but I do find all the characters shallow, maybe/probably because I haven't bothered to read supporting material and fill in blanks like I used to. Star Wars has never been about the movies alone. You're quoting me about Vader being "badass," yes? I hope Rogue One gives us a good, hard look at his legendary Dark Side. |

I have yet to see anyone compare Finn to the abomination that is Jar Jar. Finn I think behaves too closely to like someone from our world plunged into the Star Wars universe but at least he isn't an accident-prone orange rasta duck-man.

I always thought that the reason the Hot Toys Finn wasn't selling well was because (as far as I heard) it was a relatively poorly-done figure, by Hot Toys standards. The only reason the Black Series Finn stuck around was that they double-packed it in the first wave (and continued to be repacked in future waves when it didn't need it as much as other figures). I really hope that John Boyega will Play his Role in the next 2 upcoming Movies.
It would be really sad to just "remove" him in the third Movie, since in my Opinion, he was a very funny Character, and he and Rey would make a good couple in the next Movies i think. Iam new to the Star Wars Series, i did not like the first 6, but when i saw The Force Awakens, i thought "wow what a good damn Movie" I hated the first 6 Movies, because in my Opinion the stupid Story was to complicated; everyone was lying to everyone, and all these intrigues... never liked that shit. In FA, you know who the Villain is right from the Start, the entire Movie is made easy and funny I have already pre Ordered S.H. Figuarts Kylo Ren Unmasked, and i really hope they will give Finn at least the Resistance Jacket Outfit, because i think it would be really not fair to just throw out a Figure / Character in an Outift that he wore only around 10 Minutes in the entire Movie. |

TFA is almost the exact same story: a desert dwelling young adult is sucked into intergalactic conflict by acquiring a droid that contains valuable information and goes with the aged mentor character to deliver this information to the revolution, bad guy proceeds to kill mentor, ace pilot blows up big murder ball, and there's even a cantina scene in the middle.
