I was going to pre order Padme but, between Google Translate and the page itself, I've given up.

I don’t know if there are local shops in the UK that offer these figures, if not you could always use a middleman service like Nippon Yasan: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/19855-s...d-edition.html |

And they are seperately. That sucks. That's $100 right there for two figures that aren't even as big as the other guys.

Ohhh, these tempt me. The Medicom versions reportedly had joint problems, and anyway they were brushed to look like they were covered with 'dirt,' whereas these are shiny 'clean' and likely to be more screen-accurate and have better joints.
Wish they matched the Black Series scale (these are slightly smaller), but I'm probably going to order them regardless, just because Mutt 'n Jeff will look so darn nice in my display. |

Leia is far more important and we've yet to see her.

So... Yeah... Can't wait for that Luke... Still not convinced at all by that Vader though, my MAFEX Rogue One will live longer!

It looks good, but I'm not interested enough in the character yet, which is an obvious problem with buying figures for a movie you haven't seen yet. Oh well, if by some chance I dig old Luke a lot (doubt it though) I try and pick him up later.
And hey, that new Vader is there too! I really need to get a better look at it though, the mask looks rather bad to me. Also, I'm not a fan of how his cape is cloth yet the robe is sculpted plastic... Right now it looks like the last Black Series Vader Hasbro did blows this out of the water, which is an awful testament for such an expensive, collector-oriented figure. Yeah, Vader doesn't look very good...especially the helmet. Which is puzzling because the helmet on the Bandai model kit is near perfect. I know even though its the same company, its a different development team but, still wouldn't they have access to the same Zbrush/CAD files?

Guess we wait for the "Empire Strikes Back"-version now? |

Something looks off about that Vader. I think I'll just stick with the Hasbro one because that seems to be the best ANH Vader available thus far.

I'm really curious with the Luke and how the soft goods come across. Though this almost increases my interest in what Mafex will do

Friends, discussion boards, pop culture website chatter... Some of it is just racist.
Lucasfilm itself has been criticized for some of the same reasons that it took heat for Jar-Jar: Despite What You've Heard, Disney's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Is Racist (thestreet.com, 30-Jan) For my part, I like John Boyega as an actor, but agree that Finn's characterization needs work. To me, it comes off as the article writer found one thing that might be accurate, but then tried to stretch it into more and more parallels just to make the article longer or to make the original point more damning. Honestly, I never really got behind the notion that Jar Jar was meant to be an embodiment of black stereotypes either. Last edited by Wonderful Toys; 11-22-2017 at 06:08 PM.. |

Yeah, I don't like this one. The helmet looks off and the combination of cloth and plastic for the robes is not great looking.

Yeah, no reason to get this when BS Vader exists.
Helmet and proportions are off and that over scaled chain looks dumb. I think they shouldve went with a cloth tunic and plastic cape combo... |

I should be drooling over that Vader. I should be wanting to preorder it right now. I should want it to replace my Hasbro one since it has less cloth on him. Yet, I can't. I find something to be off and I don't know what.

Samesies. I think it's the face mask. Helmet looks ok, face looks to elongated. I like the rest of it, much better proportions and sculpt detail compared to their original Vader release a few years back (which I have). Vader was their first Star Wars release of a big character (stormtrooper was their first release), since then they've gotten much better in almost all regards but apparently still cant get Vader right, too bad. Oh well, nearly all their other figures have been amazing so I think its ok they get one wrong every now and then.

Has anyone else noticed Obi-Wan's empty robes in the last picture? Could that be included with the Ben Kenobi figure we have seen on display quite a few times?
If so, that would make for a funny accessory |

I did see that, and am highly doubtful they'd include it as an accessory but that would be fantastic if they did. Either way I'm getting that figure whenever it finally goes for sale. I used an extra Black Series old ben robe for the same style pic in my Amazon review. Glad I'm not the only one who had the idea.
