Although I do like the Kylo design, he doesnt quite seem to fit. I would rather have the Heavy Gunner or Phasma first.

Kylo is the only ST figure I'm mildly interested in this line.

I wish Kylo looked like that in the actual movies. Wow.

i feel like sh figuarts is the closest to natural and authentic as it gets with realism replication. I don't really see the nit picky stuff as stylization but limitation.

I'm seeing it as extremely accurate compared to the movie. Look at the comparison. The movie version looks almost slightly bigger..... |

The helmet seems normal compared to the ROTJ Vader from Hasbro which looked atrocious. I find it strange as well that other people say that the helmet looks odd.

The stormtroopers' helmets still look wrong though. Why would they even make the mouthpiece a separate part?
At this point, why not just scan the actual helmets. Helmet printing technology, yo. I personally think the initial Hasbro sandtrooper helmet is still the most accurate 1/12 version. It's a damn shame they remolded it for the regular trooper figure. |

Another Rey, another Kylo, another Trooper. Meh.
All look great don’t get me wrong, but nothing here is exciting to me. I hope they do the Mandalorian eventually, that one could be cool. Official site is here by the way, https://tamashii.jp/special/sw/ , and there seems to be some bonus-thing with stands gong on: https://tamashii.jp/event/429/ |

I'm just gonna wait on these. The stands are neat but I definitely don't need them.

Rey’s face has texture, but the rest of her body does not? Looks weird....

I want to see how the trilogy ends before I decide if anything from it is worth owning.

That being said, there's probably more coming, and these characters are a major focus of the movie so of course they are revealed first. |

They started to do a really great job with their Ultraman line and then they had to go and sabotage that and stop doing monsters/aliens. Then you have other lines where they can't even be bothered to release the full main cast such as with TMNT, Lupin III, Cowboy Bebop, Sailor Moon, etc. They also haven't done a Kamen Rider villain in several years and the last time they did a ranger from Sentai was in 2014.

Also, oh no: A company dares to do what works and prints them money. The horror! Quote:
By the way, classic Black King came out two months ago, so how have they stopped doing monsters? Quote:
Ohma Zi-O came out like last week, Evol is out in November. They made a dozen Genm and a Para-DX. Those aren’t villains? Oh wait, you mean the Showa-stuff right? Which obviously didn’t sell and they canned the plans of doing more because people weren't interested? No, once again, evil company being mean, there can't possibly be a reasonable explanation for this. Yeah guess what, because they sold absolutely terrible. Because Sentai as a franchise is currently on the verge of dying. Each iteration is slowly doing worse, LuPat was at an all-time low, now they're busting out the dinosaur-theme again in a desperate attempt to stay afloat. But hey, let’s make collector-oriented figures of these again and let people buy the same 6 figures with different headsculpts, what could possibly go wrong? |

Except when they're not but we're ignoring that, as always, right?

They started to do a really great job with their Ultraman line in late 2017, when they finally began making new-age Ultraman stuff, aka the characters which are still relevant today and don’t feed off of blind nostalgia. Said nostalgia being pointless now that they already used the big anniversary to do a good number of classic aliens and monsters.

To be more specific then, they haven't done anything for Ultraman 66 nor Ultra Seven in over a year now. Quote:
Gee, I wonder why. Probably because this stuff just doesn’t sell well enough to support a full lineup for each? Nah, can’t possibly be that, Tamashii is just evil and mean.
