seems odd that those are next on their "to do" list. Really hoping for a Bossk that blows away Hasbro's down the road.

I'm glad they're announcing something, even if I'm not thrilled about these guys, but I will get them.
At the rate these come up for preorder they won't be released until after the new year. |

These are very weak choices for figures. What is Bandai thinking? Star Wars has such an amazing and diverse lineup and they choose to make a battle droid and phase 1 clonetrooper? No thanks. I own (or have ordered) Figuarts Vader, Stormtrooper, Luke and Darth Maul but I can see myself passing on these.

It is odd. The cost of product licensing might be a consideration. (Didn't George Lucas make his fortune through merchandise licensing off the first trilogy?) Or maybe somebody in charge just happens to prefer these characters, and what they say goes. On the other hand, thinking like good marketers, they may plan to save the best for later. Realistically, it probably takes less time to design, mass-produce and release a simple mask or robot figure than it does to go through the process of securing likeness rights to a Hollywood actor/actress and then come up with a product that actually resembles that person. Somebody mentioned glimpsing prototypes of Han and Chewie in months gone by: I would rather that they take extra time to get Han right instead of rushing the project. Overall, this line is looking pretty darn good. I for one am happy to be able to pick and choose from among favourite characters when the time finally comes for each of them to roll out.

These are also army builders, so there might be that going for them. They'll have the first 6" (or close to 6") Battle Droid too. I don't believe either of these figures was on that list of displayed figures from a few months ago that no one got a shot of except ANH Luke and Han. So that's interesting that they have all these figures in the can but then are releasing 2 others that weren't shown.

It still sucks that they are putting out prequel figures when there is still the main cast of the originals to do. Oh well, it just means it saves me money. Although, if they wait too long, I might change my mind about buying anyone else.

I'm not like an expert on this stuff, but I think these aren't exactly SH Figuarts. I know they're both made by Bandai, but they don't say SH Figuarts on the packaging, just Tamashii Nations and Movie Realization.
Anyway, Boba looks amazing. The other 2 in this line are fantastic pieces. I'm not sure if I'll get every Stormtrooper they've shown, but I'll be getting a lot of this line. The detail painting is incredible. Anyone know what that object is that's 2nd to last? It looks like a folded up knife, which is a kind of weird option to have unless it unfolds. Maul and Jango would put me in a bind since I've sworn off prequel product forever. But this stuff isn't Star Wars in the strictest sense and I had every intention of getting all of them.

This could be my favorite line of SW figures ever, if they keep going to this well for tons of characters, it'd be great. I hope they do 3PO and R2 as a 2 pack to bang them out at once. The horse ATAT would be awesome, but also probably very expensive. I hope none of these become Tamashii Web Exclusives due to the extra cost importing them.

Holy cow. Initially, I thought the "movie realization" figures would be a flash in the pan, but these are incredible.

Now I'm getting into bandai got figuarts Vader and Batman. Just ordered Samuarai Vader and Stormtrooper. They are cool. Finally some sort of Select style Star Wars in 7 inch scale. Now I'm wondering if we will see a Midevil Knight style Vader that would be awesome. Oh yes I want to see them do a Batman Samuarai style.
