Here is my custom TFTM Soundwave. Thanks to fellow customizer JBarb78 who gave me the Recon Ironhide figure (even though I only needed one piece for my Recon Irohide), I gave the figure a head swap and a quick paint job to make a movie style Soundwave. The head came from the Toys R Us exclusive figure Jetstorm which I used to repaint into my old "Jumbo Jetfire" custom over 3 years ago. So I finally got around to using that head.

Great custom, but I was a little confused at the thread title. "TFTM" usually refers to the 1986 animated Transformers movie, since the full title of that film is "Transformers: The Movie". For the first live-action film, I normally see it abbreviated as TF07 or the '07 LAM (the full title is simply "Transformers").

No. TFTM is for the live action movie. I've been doing these since TFTM and never saw TF07 or '07 LAM.

I'm not arguing how you might refer to it or how you have seen others refer to it. I'm just letting you know that I have always abbreviated the '86 film as TFTM (or TF:TM) and it's the way I've seen it done for the last several years, both in print and online. Hell, before 2007 older fans such as myself just called it "The Movie".
On a side note, I did see some people call the 2007 film "TF1" (especially after ROTF came out), which I personally found hilarious. LAM is a much more recent acronym used to make the distinction between animated and live-action films (and not just for Transformers, either).

I've just see it as the '86 movie or "aminated movie" and the live action as TFTM, ROTF, and DOTM.
