Cate Blanchett as Hela! I hope they do a better job with her than Malekith.

^Agreed.
Marvel really needs this film to be outstanding to rejuvenate Thor's franchise. IMO, the Thor franchise has been the weakest link in the MCU. The Iron Man franchise quite literally crafted and structured the MCU. The torch was then passed to the Captain America franchise which has given the MCU some of its bigger hits, Winter Soldier and Civil War. Hopefully Ragnarok step it up, it has so much potential to be the next MCU game changer. |

I really enjoy the Thor movies but there is no doubt they need to lift their game. I liked Thor 2 a lot but most of that was down to seeing a half dozen good characters interacting, the main plot and a very forgettable Malekith had little to do with it.

O...M...G...!!! This looks amazing. Despite being not overly impresssed with the first two Thor movies (they are of lesser quality to me than most of the rest of MCU) I had the feeling that this movie was going to be completely different, both in quality and importance. How can you go wrong with Cate Blanchett. I'm so excited for this movie!!!!

I'm really looking forward to this, I enjoy the Thor films a lot (I rank them above GotG, Dr Strange and Ant-Man personally) and Cate Blanchett is amazing and always delivers an incredible performance.

Guardians of the Asgard... Looks like Thor moved directions a bit- I dig it... Finally a movie that looks worthy of the Mighty Thor!

Wow, that was pretty wicked. Definitely raised my interest in the film.
Side-thought: was that Muspelheim at the beginning? That would definitely correlate with the burning of Asgard shown. |

I enjoyed this trailer, but it is a little more ho-hum than I was expecting. Hopefully it's just the trailer. I'm expecting this movie to be REALLY out there.

Whilst she WAS the best part of the movie and it WASN'T her fault that it sucked - adding a slice of tasty cheese to a turd sandwich doesn't make it any easier to swallow. Well, I assume not anyway...
But, this thread isn't about how much Indy 4 blew - -there's enough on the internet about that already. I'm pumped for Ragnarok. I also will not be watching any more teasers/trailers/tv spots. The teaser has already spoiled what will probably be one of the best jokes/lines in the movie with Hulk's entrance. Trailers these days give away far too much. I think by the time I saw Ant-Man, I'd already seen almost 30 mins of footage. The actual movie was just showing me what happened inbetween all the jokes and action sequences. Many of the jokes just fell flat for me as they were funny the first couple of times - but by the time you actually get them in context in the movie, all you can really do is acknowledge "Oh yes, I remember finding that joke funny when I first heard it"... |

For me the first Avengers was like the real IM3 since I hated IM3. And Captain America Civil War was like the real Avengers 2 since I hated Avengers 2. So for me this is like a GotG spinoff that I will treat as the real Thor 2.

The trailer looked great. I love that they kept in Hela's comicbook look and how they've incorporated planet hulk. I really do hope though that Hulk as an actual speaking role this time and not just grunts and screams and then Banner takes over and does all the talking.
