I'm a huge Ultraman fan and am picking up the Figuarts and Mafex of Shin already. Without any effects parts, though, there really doesn't appear to be much difference between any of these scale figures to warrant buying this figure except for the shiny paint job. Can't wait to see this movie to choose my ideal figure and hopefully get new figures with actual effects to hopefully match awesome battles in the film.

I do see potential for ThreeZero in this line though. It's egoistic but since I don’t collect 1/6-scale figures I would prefer smaller releases like this. |

Looks good, passed on SHF because I dislike the articulation in the hips (looks bad) & the matt paint is dull; same for MAFEX. Anyway, it's nice to have a new take on the OG Ultraman that pays proper tribute to the design. The new movie is just a bonus, new media rarely informs what goes into my collection.

Not interested in Ultraman, but that looks very nice. Excellent engineering and choice of materials/paint/finish. Was not expecting anything like this from threezero. Is this a new format for them (i.e., highly articulated solid body construction as opposed to Ashley Wood et al 1:12 fabric/mixed media figures they’ve done)?
