Finally finished painting my Ninja Turtles. First up is Leonardo. Borrowing Encline's idea, this was the Donatello figure with the weapons swapped so that Leo can have the more serious face since he's the leader. Gave the figure a black wash then dry brushed the details with shades of green and brown.
Here is Donatello, which was originally Leonardo, all painted up. He now has that grin. Gave the figure a black wash and then dry brushed the details with shades of green and brown. Also gave one of his weapons some real chains. Here is Raphael all painted up. Gave the figure a black wash and then dry brushed the details with shades of green and brown. And here is Michelangelo all painted up with a black wash and dry brushed details using shades of green and brown and now both his weapons have CHAINS! |

Awesome work!!! I may have to do this myself, just looking for the time , I also need to pick up some new brushes, I see everybody adding real chains, but nobody has added real blades ...

Nice. I turned my Donnie into Raph by painting the bandanna and swapping the belts. I'd make Raph into Donnie but I don't have any purple paint.

These are beautiful. How do you keep the paint from chipping off of the weapon handles? That plastic doesn't seem to take paint well.

There are some paint rubs. Unless you sand then down, the paint rubs will always be there. When it happens, I kind of use them as normal wear and tear and just try to blend the colors of the original paint and plastic with my paint with some light dry brushing after paint rubs happen.
