I have been visiting the local Wal-Marts and Targets in my area and have found that there is no longer a TMNT section in the Toy area in these stores.
Is Target and Wal-Mart no longer going to carry the TMNT Figures? This would definitely be disappointing as the TMNT toy line seems to be selling well unlike the horde of unsold Star War Toys that I always see. |

Well, the show's been cancelled, so it follows that so would the toys.
There's another Turtles show coming, but I don't know when off the top of my head. My local WM still had a Turtles section when I was there the other day. Not that it helps you any. I think Target had them on clearance, but didn't have any I wanted. Local TRU stopped carrying the mainline figures a while ago, but then after Christmas there were several pegs' worth, so I dunno what happened there. TRU has an entire aisle (well, one full side, anyway) of Turtles stuff. |

I never saw the Wanted: Bebop and Rocksteady wave, nor was there ever the Monster Hunters or half of the recent recolors that I ever saw around here.
No, it ended. There's a difference.

Yeah, the show ended (and in a very piss poor manner).
There will be a new line that stores will eat up. I'm just disappointed Playmates didn't do anything with the potential of their comic book Turtles. They did the four and then that was it. No Shredder in that style, no April in that style, no one.

I remember the Toy Dept. manager at the Walmart in Atascocita who said to me "If it doesn't have a movie out, I won't order it."

With the new cartoon coming out this year, I really hope we get to see the new toys this year at Toy Fair. Playmates kept everything under wraps for the 2012 cartoon until it was ready to release. I really hope they don't do that again. Perfect time for beginning customizers to practice. The Turtles are detailed enough that you have something to work with but you're not going to feel bad about ruining a $20 figure. |

Mad max. What piece of crap ending. That was not an ending at all. That was a middle finger to the fans of the show. What a complete waste of time. I'm glad I never got invested in it.

No wonder Walmart is stuck with garbage King Kong figures.

There still might a mad max episode boxset to wrap up the previous toon, or some other nods pushed into a wave somehow and released, but yeah with the new Toon coming, a product refresh is on the horizon to clear out the pegs and prep for the new product.
The new toon is set to hopefully last longer too. Part of the reason the original ended was because they covered all the storylines they could. So new toon is going younger, to build slower and allow more stories to be told of character growth. The new toon is supposed to be TMNT before they became the TMNT we know to then future stories. So if it does well, they may be able to get a good decade out of it. Mega Construx should still have a few more blindbags and sets to go of the CG series too before they switch to new as well. They still got a few remaining mutates to do as well as Usagi and the Mad Max finale. Really hope Mecha-Don makes it to figure form. Want to buy 4 of him in figure form and Mega Construx form. Want to do Mecha Turtles with him as the basis. Loved his Patlabor/Appleseed inspired designs. And they really do need to do a new Karai with articulation, and a better mega construx Karai and Shinigami as well. If anything, we might get the mega construx ones over in the single carded figure releases. So they can do more fully articulated versions. Most of those would only need new arms anyway. It’s too bad this line is going away (if it truly is) as it’s delivered some absolute gems like usagi yojimbo, monster hunter Leo and raph, and the samurai turtles. Part of the issue for me was for every gem in the line there was a poorly articulated and sculpted April O’Neill, triceraton, or shredder. I still need a good 80s cartoon krang and rocksteady and bebop. Well hopefully they come back better with more realistic sculpts (I know that sound off taking about TMNT lol) and more articulation... also still looking for that muckman! |

I'm sorry you feel that way. I loved every moment of it and thought it kicked ass.

So killing off nearly the entire cast off screen to have some post-apocalypitic world kicked ass? That's cool that you loved it, but a series finale is supposed to give everyone a send off. If they wanted to do random stories with different eras, they should have done a Brave and the Bold type show.

Since we were talking about it the other day, Nickelodeon has released some pics from Rise of the Ninja Turtles. The designs look like the Next Mutation turtles which I don't care for. Unless this show is just really well written or has the best toys, I doubt I will watch it or get any of the figures.

https://www.cbr.com/rise-teenage-mut...-turles-image/ Much like Power Rangers, it feels like they are abandoning their core audience and everything seems to get watered down. That;s the impression I am getting from the description and art style which looks horrific. |
