Very interesting. Though I am totally meh at the yet again re-release of the original toon figures and party van. Blimp or nothing!

Okay, so I'm incredibly excited for all of those new vehicles - but what's up with that 'Dojo' stuff? I mean yeah, the Dojo toys are self explanatory; Turtles in training gear. But why was there a banner with the animated Turtles wearing them as well, with a new logo? Please tell me the show isn't getting rebranded and stuck with a new theme at some point...
It would be like when the 2003 series went to the future and everyone got redesigned. |

Movie Turtles in Classics? Oh yeah!
And I missed out on the previous reissues. So I will finally pick these up.

The new 5" scale Battle Shell turtles look fun, will buy if articulation isn't shortchanged.
Movie Turtles Classics? HELL YEA! Big Mistake not to make ANY villains and non-turtles yet in Classics. Come on Playmates. Pulling a NECA over here!

Writing this down so I can post it when the discussion thread gets started. Looking forward to the panel, but I'm a little worried that it'll be more about the show than the toys.
-Coverage brought to you by Kickback. Thank you Kickback, thank you. -Asking about pictures...comment actually gets through this time...and yes, there will be pictures. -Kickback's favorite Turtle is Raph, so is mine. -Long video? Cool, hopefully the do talk about the toys, and this doesn't end-up entirely about the show. -Montage of toy gimmicks from the original toy-line you say? Kinda wish I was there to see that. Sounds awesome. -Good to know that Playmates has kept around some people from the goodl-old-days. -History of the TMNT toys, ok, cool, but could we get to the modern stuff before the panel is over? -No toys, just history...ok, I can be patient. -Season two starting this September, and season three starting next September...predictable, but nice to know. -YES, Classic Collection, PLEASE have some good news for us. -Turtles are re-shipping, I've heard, and I'm going to go out and get me a Raph. -Rocksteady and Bebop, already knew about them, but nice to know they're still being released. -Classic Collection 1990 movie Turtles. I like the idea, but would have liked to have seen more OT figurs first. -All four Turtles, predictable, but still, nice to know. I'll probably get Raph unless they also do SotO figures. -Reissues of the original Shredder and Krang figures, and another reissue of the Turtle van. Interesting, I might get the van. -2004 Mechwreckers riessue...I'll have to look those up, I don't remember those. -Turtles in-training, Shredder 2.0, already seen these one's before. -Power Sound FX figures...maybe other characters? -Throw and battle turtles, saw these before, but not a good look at them. -Giant figures, soft body figures, bsic vehicles...all while I was on the phone. -Grass kicker and shell flyer sound interesting. -Turtle sub with Don sounds cool. -Role play items, all the stuff we already knew about. -A Shredder mask? That's new, and should be interesting to see. -Hulk-style Turtle hands? Sounds good to me. -Water weapons, could be fun. -Walkie talkies, I KNEW it. -Bopbags and hands, and a ninja blaster. Oh if I was a kid again. -Soft foam roleplay weapons sounds like a good idea. Especially with my hellion of a nephew. -No more reveals, well that was overall disappointing. -They hinted at movie stuff, so they should have had SOMETHING to at least say about it. -Back to Classic Collection stuff? -OT Turtles, already released, Rocksteady and Bebop, out soon, and then the 90's movie Turtles. -Reissues of Shredder, April, Foot Soldier, and Krang...sounds good to me. I'll probalby get a couple of them...if not all of them...lol. -Q&a session, hopefully this goes better than the TF 30th Anniversary Q&A. -Apparently there weren't any worth-while Q&A stuff... Over-all rather dissapointing, to be completely honest. I'm glad to see the Classic Collection is continuing, but was REALLY hoping for more OT figures. At this rate I'll get two, and both of them will be Raph's. The news about more reissues is nice. Also, they teased movie toys before the con started, and yet there was NO news about them. Oh well... Ummm...I think you forgot about Rocksteady and Bebop...

I just hope they aren't hard to find like I heard some of the previous reissues were. I'm also kinda hoping they reissue some of the others too. Slash, Rocksteady, Bebop, and Casey would be cool.

it's just absolutely and utterly ridiculous that there's no classic shredder.. that makes me unbelievably furious.. i don't get it.. it doesn't make any sense to me.
i'm excited that there will be movie turtles.. i literally watch the secret of the ooze last night. they need to release A shredder at some point.. i wouldn't mind a movie version of super shredder.. though he was only in the movie briefly.. it was, and still is my favorite part of the movie. The lack of a OT Shredder is definitely the most disappointing. There's a lost opportunity there. That said I'm happy that they're reissuing the old toys again. I was a rather stupid collector when they reissued them in 2009. I knew they were happening, but was so wrapped up in Transformers and other things that I ignored them. Now I'm getting a second chance to get them AND Krang, who I don't believe has been reissued before.
I just hope they aren't hard to find like I heard some of the previous reissues were. I'm also kinda hoping they reissue some of the others too. Slash, Rocksteady, Bebop, and Casey would be cool. are they releasing the turtles again along with the other reissues? and the make or break for me is.. are they releasing just kraang..or kraang with his android body? .. i'm praying for him with his body.. but something tells me if they're too lazy to give us a classics shredder.. then they're too lazy to give us the android body. that was probably my favorite toy as a kid. i'd love it if they reissued the technodrome too. i still have mind.. but it's seen better days. overall SDCC hasn't been too exciting.... unless you're rich and are able to afford all of the awesome iron man hot toys stuff lol. there has been some really cool stuff.. just not as much as i was hoping. last weekend.. i probably would've bet all the money i have that a classics shredder would be revealed.. but no. i wonder how well they listen to their fans.. plus, with a new movie coming out.. we should be getting more classics type stuff. hopefully they'll pull their heads out of whichever uncomfortable places they are in and understand the opportunities they are missing out on. |

They should rerelease different stuff now, not stuff they've done already, twice. Lets see the blimp or technodrome. No one needs another party van.
Agreed with most that it seems like the only thing coming in the classics wave is bebop and rocksteady, and why the hell isn't shredder part of it. Maybe they're being really cautious with this line. |

Man, I'd kill for either a reissued blimp or a new one. Never had one when I was little.
I skipped the 6" Classics turtles but I'm definitely buying the whole set of 90's movie figures. My fondness for the original cartoon only stretches far enough for me to have a poster in my movie room - but I watch all of the live action movies at least once or twice a year. |

I really don't see where not announcing a Classics Shredder is anything "lazy" or most of the derogatory stuff I've been seeing. Movie Turtles were amongst the most requested for this line - sure, behind Shredder, but they were the number one variant that I'd seen people clamoring for. After they announced B&R I thought it was rather obvious that the line would go 4 Turtles, 2 supporting, 4 Turtles, 2 supporting, etc. If they don't announce like... Shredder and Splinter or something after the movie Turtles, THEN we can consider rioting. Maybe.

Just watched a video of the panel, and while this is nothing concrete, during the Q&A session they heavily suggest that they've got 6" fully articulated figures of both Shredder and Splinter in the works. Again, nothing confirmed or concrete yet, but it sounded good enough for me to believe that they're on the way.
Edit: I also got a better understanding of how the reissues are being released. First wave/set is the four Turtles, Splinter, and Shredder, and the only two they mentioned for the second wave was Krang and a Foot Soldier. Though they said there would be more. I'm guessing April, Rocksteady, Bebop, and Casey are all candidates for the line. Though I'm hoping for Slash too. I have to admit, them showing off the Jellyfish prototype in the failed prototypes bit irks me even more now that I've seen the panel itself. I could have been miss-hearing them, but it kinda sounded like they were saying the prototypes being "failures" was why they never saw production, rather than their own stupid decisions.
