here I am with another one of my top 10 lists. Toyark is littered with them. They create a good fun way for us to engage in our creativity and come up with fun ideas and express what we want
Today is the top 10 marvel vehicles and playsets. I got inspired by this when I was looking at the new TRU Slave 1 and how awesome it is and I just keep thinking, "Wheres ours Hasbro?" So far the only vehicles we got that can acomidate the MU Scale are Wolverines Bike, Ironmans Mobile Armor transport thing that I didnt buy, and that Captain America car they showed off at NYCC. But theres so much open for creation, and I am still miffed at them for releasing Ghost Rider without his Chopper. Onlything we got that was huge was Galactus. That said, here are my Top 10 Vehicles and Playsets I want to see. 10 : Punisher BattleVan Showing off the classic toybiz van from yesteryear. Hasbro hasnt treated Punisher perfectly yet in MU, and same can be said for the vehicles. What better way to kill 2 birds with one stone. Punisher and his Van. open up the back and see a wall that functions as a weapon rack. and it could have some cool guns and stuff. We've had some substitutions one can use. The A-Team Van and that Cobra Hummer from ROC work ok, but I want the punishers van. 09 : Moon Knights Flying Moon Moon Knight has been going through somewhat of a renaisance in recent years, showing the world he's no white batman. What better way to show how awesome he is by releasing his flying moon. Single cockpit, complete with 4 missile launchers, a grapling hook, and landing gear. and lets give it a retractable handle for more play. 08 : Spidermobile I love to poke fun at this thing for being rediculous and awesome at the same time. How Hasbro could have the the Marvel License for almost 4 years and not have the spider mobile is beyond me. Would be a great item, even if it had fun gimicks to it! 07 : Quinjet I am hoping we will get one of these in 2012 with the Avengers movie. That toy line will be huge, and so would the quin jet. I'm thinking it would be as big as the gi joe defiant. seat 3 in the front, cargo bay, ect. 06 : Castle Doom I couldnt find a good picture of castle doom, so I took the classic tower of doom. Castle Doom would be great, and remind one of the days of castle greyskull sitting on the toy shelves. A Castle with high tech doodads and gizmos 05 : Hell Cycle It wouldnt be ghost rider without his bike. His bike would come with a more modern appearance, as would its driver. Ghost Rider would have spikes. 04 : X-Men Blackbird There have been a total of 2 blackbirds released for the x-men. one during the release of the 2000 movie, and the other being in the 90s that converted into several things and split apart. Both were good, but I want to see Hasbros take on this. Think of the GIJoe Night Raven, and make its cockpit bigger. sucker would be huge with a large wingspan. I'd buy it 03 : Tie : Stark Tower and the Baxter Building I had to choose between the Baxter Building and Stark Tower. This one was tough, but I had to choose stark tower, only on the pretense that it may actually happen. The Fantastic Four films werent blockbusters, while the Ironman films leading up tot he avengers have been, so I had to choose. One super scientists rooftop or another. But then I thought about number 2 on the list, and it just got really tricky. I want both! and I want the Baxter Building to support Galactus's Weight, cause where else is he gonna stand when he hungers? 02 : Fantasticar Hasbro has already given us a movie one, and Toybiz has already given us a few good ones. Time for Hasbros attempt at a comic accurate fantasticar. Splitting into 4 of course. 01 : SHIELD Helicarrier This would be the holy grail of vehicle/playsets. GIJoe fans have been craving for a new USS Flagg. Helicarrier would be Marvels USS Flagg. 6 feet long, but with 3-4 decks. This things nickname would be the coffee table. and theres no way Hasbro could release it without figures. This thing would need atleast 4 SHIELD agents and Maria Hill, or Sharon Carter, or Victoria Hand, or Dum Dum Dugan....Why not all 4? lol. I've actually been thinking of making one, but I just dont have the time and resources. |

Mine's mostly the same. It's surprising how few playsets and vehicle there actually are to make, and yet they rarely get made.
10) Castle Doom 9) Smartship Friday 8) modular Danger Room 7) Spider-Buggy 6) Runaway's Leapfrog 5) X-Men Blackbird 4) SHIELD Flying Car (needs to be a convertible) 3) Classic Quinjet 2) Avenger's Mansion 1) Shield Helicarrier (more like the recent PITT playset would be fine, I don't need another USS Flagg-style coffee table) |

A lot of the same picks from me too. Mine are all playsets (in no particular order):
X-Mansion / Danger Room - This would be THE headquarters for the X-Men. I see this as being one cohesive playset. Mansion in the front, Danger Room in the back. Having modular Danger Room pieces (as DrewBlank mentioned) that are attachable would be great. Genosha - Slave island compound. This could come with some guards and a few mutant slaves. Lots of potential here for play features and destructible areas. Asteroid M - This could be a really cool villain base. If designed properly, there could be both exterior and interior play areas. Throw in some Acolytes as exclusives for good measure. Negative Zone Prison Alpha / Project 42 - The super villain super-prison. Again, lots of potential for some really cool and fun play features. Prison cells used to be a staple of any good playset worth its weight in plastic. Why not make the mother of them all? It could have rows of cells to hold villains and some of them could be breakable with damages that are based on different power types. Weapon X Laboratory Facilities / Baxter Building - Laboratory style playset. Doesn't have to necessarily be Weapon X, but I figured that would be the most marketable way to sell a lab playset. Baxter Building could work as well. Definitely an environment I want for my figures. Sanctum Sanctorum - Dr. Strange's residence. I imagine this one as being a real throwback to the old style, foldable playsets. Multi-leveled, trap doors, weird rooms. There could be all kinds of trippy crap in there. Portals with tentacles coming out kind of stuff. Really cool decorations. And it could have one exterior side that looked all fancy and one that looked all run-down and dilapidated. Shield Helicarrier - This would be so crazy. I agree with DrewBlank again in that this could be around the size of the GI Joe ROC PITT. It would be fantastic to have this be FLAGG size, but that really gets almost too large to own and keep somewhere. The smaller size is a little more manageable. As long as it was a tri-level, including the top level, I'm happy. If they could manage to have it sit on some type of clear plastic stand that was extremely sturdy and make it look like it was floating I would be even happier. Daily Bugle Cityscape - I don't want a Daily Bugle playset, I want a playset that is made up of a few building facades and the Daily Bugle just happens to be one of them. The exterior walls, rooftops and sidewalks are what I'm interested in here. A couple little alleyways with fire escapes would be nice to have. They could incorporate as many varying levels as possible. And there could be a backdrop of more buildings and the city behind it all. Warehouse / Hideout - Some type of warehouse environment that could be used as a hideout or a crime scene or something along those lines. I see this one as being very industrial feeling with large windows and pillars inside. This could potentially be connected to the city playset to expand. Savage Land - This could be a really cool playset if done right. A variety of terrain with tress, cliffs and caves. Some fun play features integrated into the different parts could make this a real winner. Last edited by ludovicotek; 10-16-2010 at 06:49 PM.. |

the problem with playsets is its almost impossible to make all of them and hasbro only puts out maybe 1 thing playset sized a year. somtimes 2.
Its better to make our own. I've actually decided. I'm gonna make a helicarrier. |

add spidey and his amazing friends' apartment/secret headquarters to the list! what could be cooler than tables, bookshelves, and beds rotating to reveal supercomputers and gadgets! plus a picture of the hulk!

First look at SHIELD Helicarrier
It looks like the Helicarrier is going to be in the Avengers movie. Given that Super-Hero Squad already has a version, and Hasbro seems to go a little more expensive on tooling for the movie lines, I'd say the chances of getting an MU size Helicarrier just went from "Nice to think about, not going to happen" to "Only if Wal-Mart says yes." |
