I just found the first wave at Target today and after seeing them in person, I bought the whole set. Luke is really nice, but the Sandtrooper is amazing. I fear when the classic Stormtrooper hits.

Troop building that Stormtrooper is going to be insane. They should do a special case of just the Trooper x 4.

That's the truth. The Sandtrooper is already difficult to find. As soon as it pops up on HTS.com it's gone. TRU had them listed, but took them down several days ago.

Updated with Darth Maul. Really dig this guy. Has some issues, but overall solid once you get him in the pose you want.

I grabbed the Darth Maul tonight, left Luke and R2. I figure that as hot as these are, I'll NEVER EVER see these again in retail, like most of the DCUC I missed-out on in the past.

Darth Maul is the only one I didn't see when I went to the store. However, my girlfriend got me the one I really wanted, the Sandtrooper. It's amazing! It's easy to forget how cool Star Wars designs really are because of how iconic and inundated we are by them, but it made me appreciate the Stormtrooper design a lot more than I already did. Nice weathering, great articulation and gear. Just cool as hell.

Updated with R2-D2. They better put out a kick ass 3P0 to match.

Continue to love these figs, Sandtrooper is next!

Incredible line. Got all 4! This is not a complaint, but at 6 inch scale I would have liked to see some light-up or sound feature on R-2 just due to the scale they probably could have done this with little to no harm to the sculpt. Again just a wish list suggestion. Love the line!!

I thought the same exact thing. If they can do it in the 3.75 figure, could of snuck it in here IMO. Doesn't make it less of a buy, but would have been nice.

They'll probably do it down the road so you have to buy it again

you laugh, but that's the way it's always been.

man tony, some of the pics make the paint apps look lousy, until you realize your pics are higher res than my eyeballs...jeesh.

also, if we were getting the same quality and articulation in the 3.75 then I would have pre-ordered all of them months ago.

Yeah, getting high res can really highlight the sloppyness on these figs. Same with 3.75 figures, Joes especially. However, none of these figures as seen in these pics, when looking at them normally with your own eyes, look any more sloppy than regular figures you already own. Just a point of reference for everyone that may be reading. Put your current figures up close to a lens like this, and you'll see the same thing.

And updated with Sandtrooper. Wave 1 done!

Fortunately for everyone, the issue with the weathering on the face seems to not be a consistent occurrence. The one I have is perfect, but I'll keep my eye out for the consistency on other figures. I love this figure. Can't wait for Fett.

That's good. If there is one less "sandy", I'll prob get another. This one bothers me.

Sandtrooper - prob not any more unless I see a 100% less sandy face on shelves.

Classic Trooper, I definately want 3 or 4.

As I've said before, I'm new to SW collecting. Is there a reasonable chance that this figure will be re-released with the different color 'pauldrons' (Black, White, etc.)? Or, do you buy multiples now and just color them yourself?

I'm new to SW as well, but I do watch Hasbro because I do Joe and TF. If it were 3.75, I'd say yes, they will release him over and over with variants to maximize mold costs. However, this 6 inch line is new grounds, so no telling what they are going to do with mold whoring yet. They are doing a modified version clean, Stormtrooper style already. No plans up to wave 3 for another Sandtrooper tho.

Yeah, I've been exclusive to Transformers myself, but this SW 6" line caused me to break out. It also made me pick up the Marvel Legends line that rebooted last year (I'm still hunting down variants).

I'm still figuring how many 'troopers to buy of each type for a reasonable presentation of each. I'm thinking 3 Sandtroopers and 6 Stormtroopers. But again, I'm still educating myself. I had no idea the orange 'pauldron' thing represented rank at first. Then I start pecking around on other forums and realize how varied these guys are. Evidently there are quite a few differences in the armor between Sandtroopers & Strormtroopers beyond pauldrons and being sandy looking.
