ToyArk Hasbro's Transformers Q&A Answers

1) Will there be any more G1 Reissues stateside other than the Optimus Prime?

1a) At this time we are not planning any G1 reissues in our mainline product offering. However, I would certainly keep a look out for some G1 reissue
exclusives that will be hitting shelves later this year.

2) Have the Animated Mixmaster and Scrapper toys been canceled indefinitely?

2a) There are no plans to release toys of these two characters.

Well, we kind of figured the answer for #2 was practically a given.

I wonder who the exclusive G1 reissues will be and where they will be exclusive to?

When I'm not looking forward to a new Optimus Prime reissue... you KNOW something's wrong.

Maybe another round of Deep Deck Soundwave? Starscream's Ghost?

It'll certainly be a lower price point than Prime. I'm really surprised to see this, I thought Prime's sales were dismal enough for them to kill any follow-up.

They did only a few for a lot of sites, to be fair, google search "Hasbro Q&A answers"

I have a feeling the market what it is, they could be cautious on what they do for now.

If nothing else, Hasbro, PLEASE make Arcee happen!

What the fuck? One of the questions on another site ended with "And will the Mighty Mugg line be back after the movie line?" and they answered the rest of the question and ignored that.

Could they please tell us if the Transformers MM are officially done?

From what I've gathered through the Q&A's that have been posted, Mighty Muggs are pretty much in the same boat as Universe: besides the current years' offerings, they are otherwise on hold until 2010 at the earliest.

Although depending on how you interpret the following excerpt, you might say that we could see ROTF Mighty Muggs later this year:

Quote:
Allspark.com - What are your plans for the Legends and Robot Heroes sublines? Will we see additional lower-tier/obscure characters, old favorites, etc in the future? Also, will Mighty Muggs be back after the TF2 movie line?

Hasbro: In 2009, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen product we be featuring the core movie characters as well as some ancillary characters throughout all of the assortments, including Legends and Robot Heroes.
MM's are basically redeco heaven, since there are only a few standard body types and accessories used. For characters that have unique accessories or variations on the body style, only minor remolds are needed. So it is a fairly cheap line to produce, especially when you consider that the Star Wars versions (which were first and are on their 7th and 8th waves now) have pretty much paid for the initial mold castings and probably a good chunk of the remold costs.

Whether this translates to more Transformers Mighty Muggs remains to be seen, especially since the movie designs might be harder to reproduce on the Mugg body than G1 or other TF eras.
