Great pics and review!
I really dig this figure! Been wanting one ever since it was revealed. I had no issues with the sheaths but I've heard of weak glue from one other person. The blades are a flexible material so I kinda used that to my advantage. Can't wait for the Ultimate Part VI Jason! |

I can lay the claim of being the biggest Jason fan on this board, and I've been feinding for this figure since it was announced. Parts 6 & 7 are my favorite Jason designs, and in some ways 6 is very favorite, so I knew I had to have this figure. All I've had to date to represent Jay from Part 6 is the old Mezco figure, with was good for its time but is nonetheless looking a smidge dated now.
I got the Part 6 retro figure the day it hit near me, and this thing is amazing. It's spot-on to the movie, and I agree with everything in the review above. No issues with the sheaths popping off, the paint apps are perfect, and the accessories are great. Seriously, one of my all-time favorite Jason figures, and I even bought a spare just in case I break his fence post spear by accident. Anyone hear any news of NECA doing a retro (or Ultimate) Part 7 at some point? |

They also hinted that a Part 7 retro was possible at one point...I had asked about Part 6 or 7 retros and they replied that "at least one will happen by next year (2015)." I (correctly) assumed it would probably be a Part 6 since it would require less work than a 7 (what with all the flesh/bone showing through Jay's outfit in that movie), but since NECA will have made retros of Freddy from NOES parts 1,2 & 3, and part 3 has a newly sculpted torso, hopefully they might put the same effort into a Part 7 Jason sometime, especially if this Part 6 bad boy sells well. Hopefully it will, as it does look damn enticing on the store shelf...last night I was at TRU and a little kid saw it, was all like, "cool!" and grabbed one and started begging mom to buy it for him. I'm not even sure he knew who Jason was. Quote:
I'm also pretty sure that another Toyark member will feel inclined to challenge your claim so be ready to do battle.
Actually, there IS one guy (and only one) on the net I would concede the title to...not sure if he actually posts here or is the guy you're referring to, however. Last edited by Dolemite; 08-02-2015 at 05:10 AM.. |

I'm sharpening my machete now... Actually, there IS one guy (and only one) on the net I would concede the title to...not sure if he actually posts here or is the guy you're referring to, however. I dunno anyone in particular who would challenge your claim, I'm just guessing that there's someone else who may.

The guy I'm referring to posts on another message board I frequent and is actually the dude who's pretty much responsible for the idea of all of NECA's videogame repaint series. He originally painted one of his NECA Jasons in the NES colors, sent a picture to NECA (who ended up loving it), and the rest is history.

Anyone hear any news of NECA doing a retro (or Ultimate) Part 7 at some point? I think the problem is that so many New Blood figures are out there. I personally thought it was overdone. NECA made a pt VII 18", 7", statue, and a bust. All the same sculpt. I currently have the 7" NECA, 12" Sideshow exclusive, and 12" Mezco. Don't think I'll be upset if we don't get one. I wouldn't call Will the biggest Jason fan, but he's no doubt the biggest NES Jason fan. I may be up for the challenge |

Might get a ultimate Part VII eventually, don't hold your breath. Other people have requested it before. Atleast they made the 18" and 7" Cult Classics figure.

And if you're such a big Jason fan, what's your one favorite collectible that you own? Last edited by Dolemite; 08-02-2015 at 08:57 PM.. |

Yeah, I have the Cult Classics and Sideshow Part 7's as well, so it's not the end of the world if we don't get a new one. Still, the Cult Classics one is pretty dated by modern standards...I would like to pick up the Mezco one but I'm not willing to pay what he's going for these days.
Ah, so you know him. Well, he DOES have a F13 tattoo, whereas I do not... And if you're such a big Jason fan, what's your one favorite collectible that you own? Here goes; -part 3 Mezco figure signed by Richard Brooker that reads "Mike Stay Alive!" -part 3D Jason Edmiston Fright Rags print. Framed and matted w/ official F13 3D glasses to view with -part 3 Frightstuff mask made from the movie mold and signed inside. My brother is a custom auto painter. He bought the mask, painted and assembled it, then gifted it to me. -part 4 Sideshow Exclusive 12" figure -NES NECA Jason x2 but specifically the shrink wrapped version. |

Man I don't think I could pick 1 favorite. I have a lot of stuff! All movies on VHS,DVD,Blu Ray, comics/books, almost every figure, masks, personalized autographs, props, posters, ect. So I'll go sentimental/favorite F13 movies(pt 3&4). I still can't pick one

Yeah, I also couldn't really narrow it down to on thing - I've got a ton of stuff as well - but here's a few of mine: -Frightstuff mask painted/modded/signed inside by Crash Cunningham -Sideshow Exclusive FvJ Jason w/teddy bear accessory -Photo of Kane Hodder strangling me at a horror con in Baltimore -Custom hand-made Part 6 Jason plush w/removable mask -Japanese Revoltech Part 3 Jason -Weird foreign bootleg wind-up Jason w/chainsaw |

Impressive! You should post a pic of the mask your brother painted, I'd like to see that.

Never forget when they previewed it online. Remember those preorders were like several months in advance? Question for ya, Was the custom plush made by SlaughterCrochet? I had her make me a Casey Jones. If so, that pt VI plush is amazing. The removable mask is crazy awesome! I'll post my mask later on. |

Actually, I missed the boat on that one and ended up buying mine from Will down the line.
Nope, it was made by some girl named Amy that I met through ebay. she was selling horror/comic book plushes that she had made, so I messaged her and asked if she'd be able to make a Part 6 Jason for me. We worked out the details and here he is, removable mask, jacket, and all: The one I was thinking of was actually pt VII. It's so cool though! |

And that isn't even all of them, just what I can display...lol. At Phoenix Comic Con this year... Quote:
After that...my next favorite "collectible" if you will is this little guy...my son...whose first and middle name is formed from the names of Jason and his primary nemesis in several of the films, Tommy Jarvis. (which...in a weird bit of coincidence, is also the names of the leaders of the Power Rangers from those early seasons...lol.) As for this figure, it really is amazing, and I was simply blown away by the little details, in particular the eye screens on the hockey mask, and the colored lures on the throwing darts, both details that were missing from the Sideshow version featured in my pics above, which cost me over a hundred dollars more than this one featured here. Friday fans, this is the Jason we were all waiting for. I'm really looking forward to the ultimate Jason coming soon. As for others in the future, I really don't see why NECA doesn't just do a version for each movie, like they did with Freddy Krueger. I'd really like to see a new part 2, 5 (Roy), and X (pre or post upgrade, it wouldn't matter to me...) Maybe a nice warm reception from horror fans for this and the upcoming Ultimate Jason will help push it along.... Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 08-03-2015 at 07:42 PM.. |

^^Thanks Blue Marvel. It was hell of a time convincing my wife to name our firstborn after them! The best part is that as you can see, no fear of Jason. Maybe Jason just isn't scary anymore. This generation and their silly devil possession/found footage/ghost movies I tell you.

...and yes, the pitiful demon/spirit/torture flicks have been very hard to stomach. At least our stuff had a payoff. An actual 'giant-man-in-a-suit' running around engaging in acts of unrelenting ultra-violence scaring the living crap out of us. Now, you are lucky if you see the antagonist in a horror movie for 30 collective seconds of an hour and forty-five minute movie....unngggh! Junk! |

Trivial Psychic- that is one cute kid (and given what you named him, I guess you win). Awesome Jason costume and collection as well!
Well, let's get into this....I guess I'll show off my collection as well. A few things are missing from this shot, such as my custom Crash hock and a few older Mezco figures, but this is most of it. Notice I had to move my newest NECA retro figures (Part 6 and Pam/Little Jay) to the top shelf of my cheapo Target bookcase since I ran out of room on the one shelf I had allotted for my Jason stuff. Really awesome collections guys!
Of all the memories of F13th I have, nothing beats Monster Mania and Horror find! I've met many of the actors but these 3 really stood out. My part IV costume Masks The NECA and Sideshow figures are my favorite figures(have most all of them)but this Final Chapter exclusive is something special.
