Interview with the Marvel Legends Team Post Toy Fair 2020
Nothing super secret epic revealed or anything, but was cool to sit down and chat. This is one of the best brand teams out there, they are responsive to fans and know their stuff. |

Cool interview, but damn. If I had known you guys were interviewing the Hasbro Legends crew, I would have asked you to see if there's ever a change of getting a figure of the original Death's Head, currently my most-wanted figure by a whopping margin.

That's pretty cool. I didn't really follow Legends during Toy Fair so I didn't realize another Haslab thing was hinted at. A huge Sentinel?
Also would love 70's Hulk figures if they ever could make them. |

Hey, whatever happened to the Marvel Legends Fan Vote 2020? Were those figures ever revealed, and was a winner announced?

My big question. Avengers:Endgame final battle Thor. He seems to be the only one really missing....and maybe captain marvel.
Anybody have news on him? |

The other big question is the 3.75, when are they reviving that line? :P

I'd lose my shit if they ever made a Ferrigno Hulk or a Nicholas Hammond Spiderman.

Pretty cool what they are doing? What about 2099, did it die and no one wants to talk about it? Still wish I could see a Ghost Rider 2099 someday! one of my favorite characters. Also something I would love to see would be Goblin Knight or Phil Urich's Green Goblin. All not super popular I guess... Still a want, STILL HAPPY with what I am seeing.

So three of our Qs were about older properties and if/when. Old cartoon, Old TV, Old Fox stuff. I think the general vibe is - we want to do it all, have ability/rights to do it all, but only have so many slots. And they are pumping stuff out so fast as is. I'd bet the same would be said for all the above themes. Everyone wants that specific thread touched.
I'm less hardcore than you guys, so I'm just along for the ride. |

That comic style War Machine they revealed at Toy Fair was HUGE for me! Still hoping for a classic comic Dr Strange release in the retro line. And mb a re-release of some of the old Toybiz BAF as Haslab project like they are planning with the Sentinel. Mb Haslab classic comic Giant Man w/normal size Giant man/Ant man figure packaged with the Giant man figure?.... Galactus is another obvious Toybiz BAF that would translate well to Haslab.
*Edit* Need a Hasbro version of the classic comic Falcon too. Then we will pretty much have classic comic versions of all of the Avengers movie characters. Last edited by Augustus10; 03-02-2020 at 10:06 PM.. |

Would also love to see a continuation of the 80th Anniversary line with the Alex Ross box art with more classic characters. I had to buy an extra Iron Man, Capt America, and Thor to keep MOC bcs the box art was so attractive. Not sure how they would re-market the line though since the 80th anniversary is over now.

I don't buy Marvel Legends (I may get Doom though) but I did get the 3.75" version of Death's Head and i'd buy the heck out of a 6" too. That said, I'd love Mezco to do it. Diecast parts, wired fabric cape and interchangeable weapon hands that magnetically attach to the back. I'll take him in blue and green please.

Could anyone clarify from the context of the original chat what was meant by "getting the plastic / PVC to move like flesh"? Did they mean stretchable parts ala Mr Fantastic, or some sort of Phicen skin over a metal body, or was it about articulation? I have no idea what they meant.
And Amen to a Death's Head. Why they produced an obscure character like DH2 I'll never understand |

Whether that means a Phicen style over a frame, a Hyper Real style, or using similar construction as now but with fleshy plastic, not 100%. It was all just future what-if style speculation. Generally I think his intent was that he'd like to remove cuts and pegs and so on so they are more streamlined and realistic with movement and looks. |

I'm with you on the Endgame Thor, and I think lots of others are as well. I know the 2 Japanese companies are doing him, but Marvel Legends is the one I want for my shelf. With the smart folks at Marvel Legends, I gotta think they know the demand for that figure is pretty high.

Yeah before Mattel lost the DC license I was really hoping they'd do more movie/tv characters in their new Signature line. They gave us Devito Penguin, Carter Wonder Woman and Kilmer Batman, but I was really hoping for Pfeiffer Catwoman and Slater Supergirl too. I guess we may never get those in the 6" scale, let alone Hot Toys 1/6 scale. Last edited by ShabbyBlue; 03-03-2020 at 10:54 AM.. |

Yes, but preferably from Tamashii Nations. Just so that I can recreate these shots on my shelf eventually. |

I'm less hardcore than you guys, so I'm just along for the ride. Those are still some of their best sellers when it comes to easy money, Hasbro will never stop making them or something just like them. |

I get the impression the only thing standing in their way is actor likeness rights, but other than finding a time and a place to release the figures the sky is the limit.
