TOYARK Top 5 Toys Of The Week G.I. Joe Resolute Snake Eyes - Recently new images surfaced of upcoming G.I. Joe Resolute action figures. Included in the mix was Destro, The Baroness and Snake Eyes. This is hands down the best Snake Eyes figure to be produced since the change over to the Modern Body Style. Instant hit can't wait for more RESOLUTE ANIMATION! MP-08 Masterpiece Grimlock - I don't know how I missed the release of this Icon in the Transformers Universe but I had a chance to check one out at last weekends TF show. The detail and the size alone makes this the best G1 Grimlock we could ask for. Pick it up, well worthy of the Masterpiece tag. Street Fighter IV Action Figure - Not really new but I never got a chance to check one out until this weekend. I'm a huge fan of the game and the action figure line captures the style perfectly. I will be picking a few of these up over-time. WWE Wrestling Build N' Brawl Sgt. Slaughter - Yes! Finally! I can stop asking Hasbro if they are going to make a Sgt. Slaughter for G.I. Joe. Just buy this one pop the head off and make a kit-bash. Oh yeah, he is also cool as a Wrestling figure. Masters of the Universe Mer-Man - That's right he is back on the top 5 list and he is also sold out again. I hope everybody got their fill the second time around. Great figure and Toy Line.

what is wrong with Sarge's head? Why pop it off? Looks good to me!

My take on the Sarge - HissTank.com - G.I. Joe Hasbro can't make one officially so the next best thing is a kit-bash.

The Resolute stuff is "meh" at best. Snake Eyes is the only one that I'd consider buying. Although that one custom on Hisstank shows me a better one could've been made.
Mer-Man...I try to get into this line, but you have to have a Matty.com schedule, or you won't get one. They still have a long way to go in the production numbers department to get to "in stock for 1 or 2 weeks", like they would like it to be. When I opened up a case of Street Fighter IV figures, I was expecting some coolness. They look alright, but the painting used for the shading, or whatever effect they were going for, is sub-par. It makes what would be an otherwise good/buy-worthy figure, a total pass for me. Masterpiece Grimlock. Awesome. That is all I have to say. His size, imo, is his only down point. If he was cheaper, I'd definitely get him.

Roadblock finally w/double jointed knees and a non-smily face=WIN. Storm Shadow I only have issues with because of the hood, and wrists. Baroness...yeah Baroness...needs better eyewear, Destro is AWESOME, I hope the skirt does not kill leg articulation like on Reso Cobra Commander. |

I have the SF IV Ryu figure, not bad, I'm not a fan of the art style used in the game, and though these figures' appearances are based on that, the figures themselves aren't bad. Articulation is great, as is stability. I had one stuck elbow joint on Ryu, which I managed to free, took a long time to do so though.
Otherwise, fun to pose. I'm eager to see figures of characters that I typically use, especially Sagat. Dan too. Sagat could quite possibly be the best figure in this line if made. |

Nearly all of them are awesome. Snake Eyes looks just like the anime, sure they gave him a katana instead of a wakizashi but I don't care, who's to say he wasn't going to get one later anyways?

Resolute Roadblock is badass. Destro is going to have that same problem, I'm afraid. I really don't see how he can't.

The Sarge head cannot be swapped the system is opposite, he has a v head, with socket in neck.
MP Grimlock is so worth it, I got those recently. |

Sure it can you just need to use a little Hobby Knife and shape the joint. That's why it's a kit-bash. The real hard part is splitting the Modern era body's open to get the right build (Frankin-Joe) to match the old school figure. Oh and painting the figure is also a big PITA.

EDIT: missed that post... mobile ftl
The Sarge head cannot be swapped the system is opposite, he has a v head, with socket in neck, so, unless you cut him up, won't work. I am slicing the torso, and using Duke legs and Serpentor thighs/toso and glue 'em together, fil in any gaps with Milliput, sand and paint. MP Grimlock is so worth it, I got those recently. Just so cool, and much more sturdy than the MP03 mold. Last edited by Optimus Scourge; 05-02-2009 at 03:56 PM.. |

A hobby knife to carve him out is what I might do, I just picked up a loose original Sarge with Triple-T for $15 canadian (Incomplete) I have a gung ho body I Was gonna try, as well as the one I did that I did I posted here and on Hisstank/Cobra Island witch is a Franken-Joe Last edited by Optimus Scourge; 05-02-2009 at 05:47 PM.. |

Resolute Snake Eyes looks better than the Movie version, IMHO.

MP Grimlock is my fave on this list and I would love to get the TakaraTomy version, but I am still holding out hope for Hasbro version around Christmas this year (they've hinted at something Masterpiece-y coming around then).
