They really botched the paint apps on his head. Yikes.

I didn't even notice anything was off till you mentioned it. Close up shots it shows, but arms length on the shelf not really an issue.
But, yeah, would prefer if the paint lines up with the mold on any figure. |

That'll vary from figure to figure, the eyes on mine are in the right spot. Obviously it'd be ideal if they were all correct but QC issues will happen.

Since I couldn't afford the Hot Toys versions I was pretty eagerly anticipating the Legends movie Deadpool figure, as he probably represents my favorite page-to-screen translation of any superhero costume, but while the figure is indeed beautifully sculpted, he seems quite cheap in-hand, looking and feeling like he was cast in a much lower-grade, flimsier plastic than other recent figures (like his on-screen antagonist, Cable), and his articulation is somewhat nonsensical in places. His head appears to be attached to his shoulders via some kind of inverted T-bar that looks like it should add additional movement but doesn't, and despite being completely separate pieces, his calves do not swivel, but are instead cemented into place (a curious design choice which the MCU Taskmaster figure also suffers from) making deep poses awkward and tricky to pull off, especially given how far the figure's left foot is turned out. In another bit of oddity, the calves themselves are unusually long, again making crouching poses a bit frustrating, but perhaps that's just an anatomical eccentricity of Ryan Reynolds in real life, I don't know (at least it's not as immediately distracting as MCU Red Guardian's T-Rex arms). The accessories, too, are a combination of frustrating and underwhelming, the Desert Eagles requiring an hour or more of painstaking nudging and pulling with small tools and boiling water to work free of the holsters, and the katanas seem undersized and flimsy. Oddly, they're the blades used in the first Deadpool film while the Deagle holsters are the type worn by Reynolds onscreen in the sequel. Considering the inclusion of additional hands with both black and silver strips on the back (representing Deadpool's gloves in the first and second films), it seems Hasbro's intent was to try to capture the character's look from both films but in practice you end up with a figure that recreates neither entirely accurately. All that said, this is still one of my favorite Marvel movie figures, but the "so close and yet so far" aspect is exceedingly irksome (especially the lack of calf-swivels, after the designers put in 90% of the work of making them).
As for "Domino", while the sculpt is very nice and the translucent hair effect is kind of interesting, the figure as a whole is just kind of dull, visually. The blue and black on her costume seem washed-out and faded (in contrast with the much more vibrant-looking Deadpool) and the problem is compounded by the brown-on-brown muddle where the opera gloves meet her bare arms or the ribbed sections of her costume encircle her neckline. Even the prominent metallics on her boots have a brownish hue. |

Love the pics, as always.
I really like the whole Deadpool movie line so far. Even NTW, I think she is well done, except that the body that they used for her was a bit too skinny. For Deadpool, I think it was a really strange thing for them to glue 2 separately molded pistols into their holsters and then give you another 2 pistols. I think I will work those 2 pistols out of that holster. I've actually never noticed Dominoe's hair is translucent. Pretty cool. Now they need to make Colossus. And do I dare to dream for a BAF movie Juggernaut? |

And do I dare to dream for a BAF movie Juggernaut? I'm guessing they did it, and at some point after production started someone was like "NO REAL GUNS WTF" so they did that. I'd be down with Colossus and Juggernaut. Yeah sorry, just not into the fig. I bought a Deadpool with a big unnecessary accessory, so I just shared a couple shots of that accessory. |

Do I get compensated with free action figures j/k?
Seriously, thanks for the compliment. Justifiably so. Quote:

I'd love to see Colossus and also Francis/Ajax and Angel Dust. My thoughts exactly, and, I think, Hasbro's as well. |

Maybe they can do a 5-pack like the comic Hellfire Club to complete the movie X-Force. Bedlam, Shatterstar, Zeitgeist, Peter, and Vanisher. So yeah, it would be a 4-pack technically. Ha ha.

Man. The talent here for photography is nuts!
I love the FOX-MEN. Always will. Wolverine is awesome. The white shirt amazon Wolverine to me is one of the best marvel legends, nah, figures I’ve ever owned. |

I was thinking about him too, and also never pulled the trigger. The Jacket version in hand impressed me more than I thought it would, and I saw the protos in person at Toy Fair, plus all of the promo shots. Still better in hand. So now I may go hunt the white shirt. Damnit Hasbro, and you too Comedian...

With every announcement of new marvel legends I hope they use the power ranger body on new figures and between that spiderman and movie venom I just want it used more.

this is going to be reeeeeally nitpicky, but domino's eyes are two different colors in the film and would have been a neat touch if they had done that.

Really surprised at the lack of Ryan Reynolds head, and that they clearly made Mystique not look like either Rebecca Romijin or Jennifer Lawrence.
Hopefully we get more of these. Especially X-23 and a Hallie Berry Storm. |

I think Mystique does give off Rebecca vibes from the side. Dead on it's iffy. This pic below I think shows that.

Hehe yeah. With all the paint and markings it would be hard to tell regardless. This works for me.
