Last year I put in an order with Hasbro Toy Shop for a bunch of the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom figures and some Star Wars Mighty Muggs. I found the Mighty Muggs at a local TRU months before HTS said they were scheduled to ship so I bought them and canceled my online order. I would have placed a new order for the Temple of Doom figures but they were unavailable by that time. I figured, "no big deal. I'll just buy them at retail". And since all the Indy figures were crowding the pegs I thought there would be plenty of them.
Well, as many of you know, the Temple of Doom figures were never released at retail, at least not where I live. By the time I found this out it was too late to really do anything. Didn't want to pay the BBTS prices and EntertainmentEarth only offered the case, which I didn't want to pay for either. I ended up having to go through eBay. But it took me a while since people were charging ridiculous prices. I actually ended up buying them from someone in the UK using the Best Offer feature and ended up paying around $8.50 per figure plus very reasonable shipping. I also ended up buying a really cool Robin Hood Sheriff Castle based on the BBC series that I use for a really good Castle Destro. If you ever get the chance, I would highly recommend buying one. Does anyone else have any stories about toys that they wish they bought when they had the chance? |

that would be the yamato sv-51 that I saw in akihabara in Japan when I took a trip last year. They had that and the YF-19 which I got instead. both were at bargain prices but I only had space for one.

Car Robots Grand Maximus, even the Korean version. Now I'm looking at an original Fort Max using next year's tax refund instead.

I remember when I started frequenting a local comic shop, it had the ML Ultron. I always debated on getting it, and always passed because I really hate the design, but the only Ultron figure I have is a mini-mate.
Anyway, I finally decide to get it and it's gone. OH YEAH! I just remembered a real heartbreaker. One time back when I was living with my exgirlfriend, we went to Wal Mart. I was scanning the toys and found the version of the Marvel Icons Iron Man with gold paint. It was only $15 but I didn't have money on me. So my ex said she would get it for me for Christmas. Of course this was right before Toybiz's rights were bought by Hasbro, so they lasted for all of three months. I never saw him again except on ebay for $70+. That one really broke my heart. Especially because my ex dumped me a month later. |

Marvel Legends BAF wave Sentinel
X3 X-Jet BAF Giant Man Marvel Legends Ultron IronMan Movie War Machine (Hoping the sequel covers him again!) Every one of these was an initial pass, never to be seen again. Especially the sentinel frustrates me now that fury files are out. |

All the He-Man Stactions when I saw them on clearance. I kick myself for not picking them up at Suncoast video back in the day.
