Sorry, Ktulu, you've been overruled.
Oh, and on topic, I agree with DL2W. Soundwave FTW!

Gee, let me think about this one... oh yeah! Smokescreen!
Grimlock's a very close second.

While I am by no means a TF guy, I have had my share of the toys. I don't really know enough about them as characters to pick a fave, but for the toys I really like Alt. Mirage and Alt. Shockwave.

Voyager is the better of the two, IMO. Although, if you can catch it on sale, the BD version's axe goes really well with the voyager.
Oddly enough, I just realized I have every version of Animated Optimus released so far. Normally I tend to only buy one version of Prime/Megs for each line. I also have 3 versions of Megatron (4 once I find the activator version).

The Mirage mold is one of my favorites, though I also like Ravage II, Windcharger and Rumble. I just wish Rumble had also come with built-in hands as well as his piledrivers.

Voyager has the more accurate sculpt, whether or not the sculpt is better is dependent on you. The deluxe is more of a G1 Prime in animated style. With that said, the sculpt on the voyager is excellent. Articulation is superior on the deluxe, as well as range of motion and tightness of joints. The deluxe has a cleaner alt mode(not as much gaps). The voyager has the better weaponry in my opinion(I like the axe, just hate how it drags down the arm under it's weight). The faceplate gimmick is executed well too.

My favorite mold would be the Subaru one (Smokescreen, Silverstreak, Ricochet, Alert, Bluestreak). The Mirage/Rodimus and Shockwave/Meister molds come in a close second.

Voyager Prime is definitely my favorite. The only thing I don't like is the oversized axe. I think it's just a little too big for the figure. I may pick up the deluxe version just to get the smaller axe to use with the voyager.

I like:
Silverstreak, Shockblast, the Jeep mold, Rumble, and Jag Ravage the best.

I like the Mirage mold a lot. The RX-8 mold is nice too.
The one I am not too fond of is the Mustang mold

I'd have to say it looks that way to me.
The idea that soundwave could "launch" his minons at planets is kind of cool. They'd enter the atmosphere as metorites in a way and transform once they land. the more I think about it ........... I like it. |
