Does the temperature stay pretty much the same in that closet all year round? I live in an old house that temps differ all over and have stored TF's all over this place. I stored a few in a dry warm not hot closet, ruined the stickers on the boxed ones right off the sheet and ruined the stickers on the loose ones. The best place I store them is in a closet downstairs that stays about 62 degrees all year round.

Yeah, heat and humidity are not good. I leave the closet open to that room, so it stays cool and more importantly dry.
60 degrees should be ok, as long as it isn't damp.

I would go with the Universe one since it's cheaper. But, personally, I would prefer if Hasbro did a new, triplechanger mold for Springer. However, I'm not holding my breath on that one.

A new mold would be nice, but between the Botcon and Universe versions I much prefer the Botcon one.

I'd get the helicopter one from the Universe set. Not only is it cheaper, but it's likeness to Springer moldwise is more accurate, at least it is to me. Not to mention I've always seen the helicopter as Springer's main alt mode. Also with the Universe set, you also get another figure, and the Springer in that set is significantly bigger than the Botcon version.

Most of the Walmarts I visited yesterday were cleaned out of the Universe Deluxes. Luckily I scored Galvatron and AcidStorm last week during the rollback.

I actually saw this at TRU today. It was fairly impressive, but the price tag was out of my range. Especially for a reissue that I already have 3 of.

I vote for Universe as well. It just seems more accurate to the character, at least until Hasbro ever makes a new mold version. I really hope they do to help counter Astrotrain and Octane (Tankor).

It's called a "Spark Driver", which was a concept that Takara had with the larger Transmetals like Dragon Megs. They were to have drivers who were the embodiment of their sparks. Hasbro, of course, didn't use the concept. But Cryotek ended up with one anyway, at least for the Takara "USA edition".

I've always seen the helicopter as Springer's main alt mode, myself, I never got Cybertron Evac, and then knowing about this Target set from the Hasbro panel at Botcon, I skipped Blades.
I eagerly await to get Universe Springer, and I have heard nothing but good things about the mold. Ratbay is icing in in the cake. |

Yeah, I've seen it a couple of times now. And as much as I'd like to have another version to apply stickers to, I can't justify the price at the moment. Too many other goodies on the list right now.

Now there's a tough question. I'm assuming since it's post-Movie that it excludes figures from that line. I guess it would depend on the size class and whether you like the Animated or Universe style.
In a pinch, I'd have to say Shockwave is my favorite right now, but I hazard a guess that once I pick up Ultra Magnus, he'll take the top spot.

Great news for Canadian fans. I wonder if, given the exchange rate, that puts it on par with the $7.77 sale we've been experiencing here in the States.

If I could only one, Treadbolt would be my pick. It's a good mold and looks the best of the three IMO.
