Yayabee of The Arker has posted one of the most extensive galleries seen yet for Botcon 2009's Exclusive Leozak and Skyquake. The images show off both jets in robot and jet modes, with comparisons with Energon Starscream who both are repainted from, and in Leozak's case a comparison with the original Leozak from the 1989 Takara Transformers Victory series. Check out all the images by clicking on the link above or by clicking on the title bar to view a mirror of the images for your convenience.

Oh snap!
It looks like the 6 inch series of Titanium figures are making a come-back for the 25th Anniversary of the Transformers. Thanks to ACToys and S250, we see images for what appears to be Titanium Hot Zone, a repaint of Titanium War Within Optimus Prime, and a repaint of Starscream in to Titanium Thrust. No idea when their release date is, but they appear to be Target exclusives. Click the story to see all the images. |

Looking for items branded with the logos and artwork from the first Transformers Movie that you don't already have? You might already own Transformers Movie toothbrushes, band-aids, ice packs, trash cans, bubble bath, and notebooks, but do you have a playground ball?
Now you can live your dream of smashing in other peoples faces during a heated game of dodgeball using a ball branded with your favorite characters. If dodgeball is not your game then try taking out your foes in a competitive round of four square, and crush the opposition with help from the Autobots. You can own this piece of playground fun from Target for only $6.99. |

Frank Welker is best known to Transformers fans as the voice of eight of the original 14 Decepticons: Megatron, Soundwave, Skywarp, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, and Ratbat. He also did voicework as the Autobots Mirage and Trailbreaker. With the release of the animated film in 1986, he took on the role of the Autobot Wheelie and as well as Galvatron from Leonard Nimoy. TFW2005 content contributor Aernaroth recently had a chance to interview Mr. Welker. You can check out the first part of the interview here: TFW2005 Interviews Frank Welker.

The official Botcon Homepage has updated with the third of the 2009 convention exclusive toys, Landshark! Contrary to prior speculation where we all thought this mysterious all-new character would be a redeco of Transformers Energon Sharkticon, Landshark is in fact a redeco of the Ultra Class Energon Autobot Landmine! Be sure to check out the bio by clicking on the link above for a humorous bio paying homage to this new character's origins, then sound off with what you think of this new Autobot on our 2005 Boards!

The latest from Michael Bay's site, Shoot for the Edit, will definitely start some conversation.
Nelson chimed in stating that a Shoot For The Edit forum member, MitP, started a discussion thread pleading for Bay to bring on Frank Welker to voice the character of Soundwave for the upcoming Transformers Revenge of the Fallen film. Bay's response: "I think I'm going to pursue Frank on Soundwave". - Michael Misinformation? False hope? Trying to please the fans? Sound off in the TFW2005 movie forum and give your thoughts on this new development! |

2005 Boards member TonyzCustomz has kindly provided a very high resolution gallery of Revenge of the Fallen's Leader Class Megatron! Each of these images are 2000 x 1500 (or vice versa) so they may not kind on those with slower connections, however they show off an excellent amount of detail on the newest version of the Decepticon's leader. Check them all out by clicking on the title of this story.

It's March! That can only mean one thing - no, not Easter, not Spring, but the answers to the first round of 2009's Q&A with Hasbro! Yaaayyy!!!!
Due to an issue with one of our questions, TFW2005 only has two questions that received answers this round. We are told that our third question will be answered as soon as possible, and if/when that does, we will bring it to you as soon as we get it. But on to the kibbles and bits. 1) Any plans for a 10th Anniversary line to celebrate ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, either repaints or reissues using ROBOTS IN DISGUISE figures? There is not a plan to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of RID at this time due to the many big events that are planned for the brand over the next few years. With that said, we will continue to look for opportunities to reoffer any great product lines from our past. 2) Will see American versions of the Masterpiece Grimlock, Thundercracker, and Skywarp figures? We feel that the Masterpiece Series is a great offering that captures the timelessness of our brand for all fans of Transformers. As we continue to move forward with the brand we will look for the right opportunities to release these figures. With that said, I would certainly keep your eyes on the look out for one of these in the near future! So there you go! It looks like something Masterpiece-y (yes, Masterpiece-y) may be in our future. But no love for the Transformers line that reintroduced realistic vehicles to the brand. You can discuss our questions and answers, along with all the other question and answers from other sites, by clicking the discuss link. |

New custom add on parts for the Energon Superion are on the horizon! Images of what appear to be a prototype set have been posted at hk-tf.com. The set features newly molded hands, lower arms, and feet. The addition of the lower arms and hands require a different transformation process to the actual arms itself on Superion.
No word yet as to who is making this set, how much it will cost, or when it will be released. Click the image to check out the gallery! |

Along with our recent Bumblebee card-back image we have also gotten a look at what appears to be a Transformers Animated Ironhide toy. When matching up the toy to the character model sheet it appears to be a match. Click on the thumbnail to see both the toy image and the character model sheet.
Many are believing this to be an Activators toy due to the simplistic nature of the mold. Make sure to check the TFW2005 front page often for all the latest news with Transformers Animated products! |
