Artist Livio Ramondelli (previous credits including Chaos and Autocracy) has shared the variant cover art he did for the upcoming Transformers Spotlight Orion Pax. Spotlihgt Orion Pax takes us back in time to before there was an Optimus Prime, to the days of "super-cop" Orion Pax. Check out this piece of artwork of the future Optimus Prime standing before the Autobot sigil.

A bit more info on those Nike Flyposite Megatron edition sneakers for you now. By way of Sneakerfiles, we have a bit of info on when these are coming out and also the cost. Unfortunately they aren't cheap, and they are Black Friday release items. They're due out next Friday, 23 November, and they are set to retail for $190. The site also notes they are limited quantities, so these are out-and-out Black Friday exclusives for those brave enough to face the crowds.

Bleedingcoolnews has posted the IDW Solicitations for February 2013, including a huge dose of Transformers comic awesomeness! There's five Transformers books hitting shelves next February and they are:
Yes, Transformers spotlights continue their revival in February with the focus falling on the biggest bad of them all - Megatron! But that's not all - it's shaping up to be a true "villain month" with many bad guys driving the plots of their respective issues. We won't say too much more here on the frontpage so check out the full solicits and covers at Bleeding Cool by clicking here - but beware, major spoilers ahead! |

Entertainment site Vulture reports that their inside sources close to the Transformers 4 production team are informing them that Transformers 4 may film in China, and may even be co-produced between Michael Bay's production company and a Chinese partner company. The basis of the report is an increasing desire for US made films to make it in the notoriously tough Chinese box office. The article also includes a statement from Paramount, stating that "the script is still being written" and "it is not a Chinese co-production", so make of it all what you will.
It's not impossible that China may be involved in Transformers 4 in some way - after all, we have reports that London may have some location filming and that Bangkok is being considered. For now, take this as a rumor - albeit one that would make good financial sense should it play out. |

The official Transformers GT site along with many online retailers including our own TFSource have updated today with the first color prototype images of the Transformers GT series GT Prime and GT Saber. Only the vehicle modes are shown so far, but both are looking very sharp with their authentic race deco details. Optimus Prime looks particularly awesome in the red and black. Read on and check them out.

High Moon Studios Transformers Fall of Cybertron wowed us this summer with an awesome tour de force of what it was like to be a Transformer on the last days of Cybertron, be it swinging around with Jazz on his grappling hook, munching metal with Grimlock or bringing huge amounts of pain to the Autobots as Bruticus (not to mention the sheer amounts of awesome that are the final mission).
Fall of Cybertron's status as one of the best if not the best Transformers game ever has been recognized with a nomination for the Spike TV videogame awards 2012 in the category of "Best Adaptation". It's got competition of course, from Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes, The Walking Dead and Epic Mickey 2. And that's where you come in, fans! Head on over to Spike TV and cast your votes for the game you want to see recognized as the best videogame adaptation of 2012! Click here and place your votes! |

High Moon Studios, the creators behind the popular and successful Transformers Fall of Cybertron game stated in a Q&A Thursday that they are not planning any future downloadable content for Fall of Cybertron.
The statement is as quoted below: Can you add more colors and characters? Unfortunatly not. Each color, new character, or really anything that gets added puts demands on what the game can support technically. At this point with the largest roster of Tranformer characters ever and dozens of colors we have reached the limit. Sorry Sludge fans! Will you be adding any DLC maps? A number of our fans have expressed an interst in buying DLC maps, however we feel this will have a negative impact a player's ability to quickly find a full match. This is a major learning we made from War For Cybertron. The addition of paid DLC maps splits the player community between those with the maps and those without. This is obviously a huge disappointment for those who have been playing the game on a regular basis and enjoying it, but have started reaching the end-game limits. Many fans have questioned if games such as the Halo franchise can release map packs for over a year after the game is released, and Left 4 Dead 2 can continue to release new campaigns and multiplayer maps years after the game was released, why can't High Moon Studios do the same with Transformers Fall of Cybertron? What are your thoughts? Share them with our fellow Transformers gamers by discussing it on our forums! |

Amazon has updated with a whole bunch of new listings for IDW comics collected editions including the second volume of Transformers Regeneration 1, the IDW Collection Volume 8, Transformers Prime Rage of the Dinobots and more. The full listing is as follows:
Robots in Disguise Volume 3 - presumably this will include the annual and issues 11 - 14 or 15 of the Robots in Disguise ongoing series. Due 16 April 2013. G.I. Joe / Transformers Volume 3 - the creative teams listed suggest this will not only include the third Devils Due Transformers / G.I. Joe crossover, Art of War, but also the two issue fourth crossover which featured Cobra-la and Unicron. Due April 30, 2013. Transformers Classics Volume 5 - the listing confirms this one will include issue 51 - 62 of the original Marvel Comics Generation 1 Transformers series. Due 7 May, 2013. Transformers the IDW Collection (Hardcover) Volume 8 - presumably this will collect the remaining issues of the Mike Costa Ongoing series and also the Heart of Darkness miniseries. Due 7 May 2013. Transformers Prime Rage of the Dinobots - A collected edition for the Transformers Prime Rage of the Dinobots miniseries. Due 28 May 2013. Transformers Regeneration One Volume 2 - This we assume is going to contain the next five issues of the Transformers Regeneration 1 series, issues 86 - 90. Due 28 May 2013. |

Our next new Transformers toy gallery for your enjoyment is this gallery of the Transformers the Ride exclusive release, Evac! Only available from Universal Studios, Evac is the star of Transformers the Ride, a new member of the Autobot team who takes visitors to the park on a journey that's more than meets the eye!
The Evac toy is a rather cool little exclusive. He's a complete new mold based on the character from the ride, transforming from a high-tech personnel carrier / the car from the ride into a movieverse styled robot mode. He fits right in with the movie toys too, particularly with contemporary releases from Dark of the Moon. He's got decent amounts of poseability in the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees with a little side-swivel in the ankles to allow for wider poses. On the vehicle mode, the sides of the vehicle lift-up, gullwing style, just like the car on the ride. There's no waist swivel in robot mode though, and no weapon or accessory either, though there are some 3mm clip points on the toy and 5mm peg holes in the hands as well. All in all, Evac's a cool little toy. He's got a great look and fits in well with the movie series cast. Because he's a theme park exclusive, he commands a bit of a markup on the secondary market and your mileage may vary on whether that is worth it. Certainly at original retail if you are a movie series fan, this one is a good addition to your Autobot side. Autobase Aichi on Facebook has shared an in-hand look at the Japanese Toys R us Exclusive Transformers Prime Gatling Bumblebee, the Japanese version of the Weaponizer Bumblebee. Like Transformers Animated Bumblebee before it, Gatling Bumblebee features a metallic gold finish but only primarily on the panels visible in car mode, which creates a bit of a mismatched look in robot mode. Check out the pictures to see for yourself and decide what you make of this release.

By way of the Twitter account of Bluesmobile325, we have some pictures to share with you from a display of the Transformers GT series at the Fuji International Speedway Exhibition. This is the first time the two GT series releases - GT Prime and GT Saber - have been shown off in public in their vehicle modes, meaning some new angles showing off more of the deco and sponsor details. There is also, by way of the display behind the toys, our first look at both in robot mode in color. They are photos of photos, and you'll need to strain a bit to see GT Saber's robot mode, but there is enough there for you to get an idea of the look of the robot modes. GT Saber is looking particularly sharp in his blue and white deco, with red head, feet and sword hilt.
