Botcon have announced their next guest attendee. Making his convention debut is Jason Jensen, who played Tommy Kennedy in the little-known fifth season of Transformers Generation 1 alongside an animatronic Powermaster Optimus Prime. His role in the series was to act as a bridge to introduce the episodes alongside the Optimus Prime, as the "fifth season" was a series of reruns.
Check out the full guest announcement and biography on Botcon.com. Botcon 2013 kicks off in San Diego, CA in a little over five weeks time. If you're planning on attending and have not booked yet - what are you waiting for? Head over to the Botcon homepage to find out more and pre-register. |

A photo posted on Instagram (probably from the Transformers 4 set) seems to show off a new look for movie Optimus Prime. Based on the photo, Prime’s new vehicle mode is a mix between his G2 Laser Optimus Prime toy and his Transformers: Prime 1.0 vehicle mode (prior to Beast Hunters).
Props to Instagramer rezzieboi for the image. Update: Prime's new look is confirmed by ComicBookMovie and Michael Bay. "The completely upgraded, custom-built Optimus Prime from Western Star (a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America)." Stay tuned with TFW2005 for more info. |

Following the reveal of 2 new Autobots from Transformers 4, Michael Bay Official Twitter Feed has been updated with an announcement that Principal Photography of Transformers 4 has officially begun.
“Transformers 4, started shooting in the Navajo Tribal Park in Monument Valley” Also, actress Nicola Peltz who plays the lead female role has posted at Instagram, a photo of driving through Moab. From the logo, her car is a Mercedes and may just be a car used to transport staff. So, if you guys are around the filming area and is able to grab a pic or two, share with us at TFW2005 and we’ll share it to the world. Last time, our own Jimmy88 became the first person to announce Optimus Prime’s Trailer during the Chicago Filming of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. |

It's time for some actual Transformers 4 news, courtesy of Yahoo!, who has publicity photos of two new cars (and possible Autobots) fresh from the Transformers 4 set on the border of Arizona and Utah: The 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse (which is not only a car that goes for approximately $2.5 MILLION, but it's also one of this newsie's favorite car designs, period) and a special racing livery version of the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray concept. While we do not know who exactly these characters may be, we DO know that they are both new Autobots.
Who do you think they could be? Swing on by the discussion thread and speculate away! EDIT: These new cars have not only been confirmed by Bay's official website, but have also had larger photos uploaded. They have been attached to this story. |

Kabaya has unveiled their next Transformers Gum series releases. This listing on Amazon shows that Transformers Gum Wave 7 will feature Silverbolt, Motormaster and Onslaught, who will one and all make great accompaniments to the Wave 5 Hot Spot kit.
Of course, what is a Combiner leader without their limbs? Enter: Gaia Scramble. This box of 10 adds six additional kits into the mix, who will (presumably) provide six of the twelve "limb" combiners to go with the three combiner leaders in Wave 7. Whether this will be an even split of Aerialbots, Combaticons and Stunticons or biased more toward one team, we cannot say, but with twelve limb 'bots to release across the three special team combiner groups, we would speculate that a "Gaia Scramble Wave 2" with the other six cannot be too far away. |

Entertainment news site Joblo states that they know the names of the two Autobots revealed today. According to the site:
2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is Drift; who may possibly be the earlier rumored “Samurai Bot”. 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray is Slingshot. However, speaking to the fans Michael Bay Official Website Admin Nelson said “This is the 4th movie, you would think these guys would've learned by now that production names DO NOT EQUAL final name.” Well, the debate is on. Would you like to keep the names of these hot new cars? Or would you think they should be different characters? Fire away then! |

More photos are arriving from the set of Transformers 4 Principal Photography. These photos are also courtesy of Instagramer rezzieboi.
First pic is a side look at Movie Optimus Prime 2.0 (Had to do a Miko there). Second image is a never before seen look of a new (well actually, a rusty old) truck vaguely resembling the old G1 Optimus Prime from the cartoon. The photo uploader is mentioning that the rusty truck is a Dinobot: "One of the new #transformers from yesterday movie shoot #dinobots, who are u!!! Damn sexy a.f that's what'd up #michaelbay #markymark". We currently have no confirmation on who this might turn out to be. Have a guess. Number 3... Bumblebee (well, that sure rhymed). It seems we have to take the word of the photographer who seems to have seen the vehicle which is now covered. Take a look at the images, after the jump. |

More new images from the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, where Transformers 4 is currently on location filming, reveal a new vehicle which it is being speculated might be the new form of Bumblebee. The new car is a Camaro like Bumblebee is known for in the live-action movies, but an older version. The color scheme is also primarily black, with just the yellow on the front near the grill. This might be reason to discount this as Bumblebee, were it not for the fact that Beast Hunters has also recently made the switch to this "Stealth Bumblebee" look - perhaps this car is also intended to be a "Stealth Bumblebee" as a part of the plucky Autobot's new look? It is also possible that this is a pure and simple stunt car and not a Transformer - time will tell.

Did you pick up Transformers Prime Beast Hunters #1 today from IDW publishing? Did you have unanswered questions that you feel aren't likely to be answered in future issues? Well, why not ask the writer herself? Mairghread Scott, writer for the Transformers Prime Cartoon, IDW's Rage of The Dinobots and the new Beast Hunter's comic book, has started her own Q and A thread in our Transformers comics discussion forum. This is a rare, and very cool opportunity, for us fans to get some behind the scenes info! Not sure what to ask? Why not brush up with TFW's interview with Mairghread from March?
She's already been nice enough to take the time to answer a few questions, click on the title bar to read on! |

Michael Bay Official Website has confirmed the previously rumored new Vehicle Mode of Bumblebee for Transformers 4.
"Bumblebee as a highly modified, vintage 1967 Camaro SS." So, Instagramer rezzieboi was correct after all. Does this mean he's also correct on the fact he tagged the rusty truck as a Dinobot? |

A new group shot includes a new green Military Vehicle and a barely visible white Emergency Response Vehicle in the background. We are yet to know who these new Bots are. Many TFW2005 Members are speculating that the new Ambulance may very well be our friendly Autobot Medic himself; Ratchet. Take a look at the new images, after the jump. |

Just a quick reminder - Acid Free Gallery will be in attendance at Wizard World Philly this weekend (booth 555), and with them will be several new prints. They will have the previously seen Soundwave print with a limited edition variant, a Dinobots print, along with a new Starscream and Screamer variant. Previous prints will be available as well.
We hit up WW Philly on Thursday and checked them out, take a look at pics from their booth. The Soundwave print is 24x36, so it really has a presence when seen in person. Check them out after the jump! |
