It's time for a new Transformers sighting at US retail! 2005 Board members WorldsGreatest and XTerry have both found the new monstrous Ultimate Beast Hunters Dragon Fire Optimus Prime at their local Toys R Us stores (Maryland and California). It's unusual to see a simultaneous new sighting on both ends of the country, so these sightings should make many fans happy!

MTV Geek has posted 2 new Promo Stills and a Video Clip from this Friday's episode of Transformers: Prime -Season 3: Beast Hunters Episode #9 - Evolution.
The clip features quite a big moment from the upcoming episode and we have it on You Tube thanks to You Tube User TFPSeason2Upload. The very beginning of the clip shows that it ties in with the events of the previous episode where Knockout was ordered by Megatron to hand over all his projects to Shockwave as a punishment. The two promo stills feature Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack working together and the second still features Predaking in front of what is undoubtedly a Space/Ground Bridge. Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters Episode #9 Evolution airs Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET on the Hub Network. |

An Instagram image has turned up on the internet featuring our first Prop Piece from Transformers 4. It is very unclear what this is, but 2005 Boards member SamNickelson mentions it looks a bit like a part of Decepticon Figther Jet as seen on the previous live action movie; Transformers: Dark of the Moon. But he says it could be even something else.
We'll keep you updated as more info arrive. |

News is reaching us from San Diego from various sources that have had a glimpse of the Botcon 2013 dealer room. Apparently, in the 30th Anniversary display case the following figures are displayed:
ALSO, our sources are saying there are six foot tall pallets of Generations Titan Class Metroplex. The figure will apparently be FOR SALE tomorrow at the show floor from site sponsor Bigbadtoystore.com. They will have limited quantities and the price will be $150. BBTS had to air ship in from china. Preorders for him will go up on Monday July 1st at $110, arriving early August. We'll update when we can confirm the above information! For now, speculate like crazy on the 2005 boards! |

TakaraTomy have issued a recall and replacement of Transformers GO! Jinbu due to a factory mis-assembly of the thighs. This mis-assembly causes the knees to not be able to bend the correct way and therefore, the combined modes arms do not bend the correct way either. Unsold stock has been recalled and customers (in Japan) who purchased the figure can return it for a correctly assembled replacement which will be available from mid-July.If one chooses not to return their figure, the error can be corrected by disassembling and reassembling the figure but there is the risk of misplacing parts like springs etc.
There is a picture attached for those who need to reference and check any figures they have in hand currently. |

This pic of a flat nose Freightliner was just tweeted out by the Michael Bay Shoot For The Edit Twitter account. With all the sexy super cars showing up on set and now this non Optimus somewhat menacing truck, its looking more and more like we will be seeing the Stunticons, or some version of them, in Transformers 4. Check out the pic after the break and discuss on the forums!

Check out our coverage of the Botcon 2013 Hasbro Transformers Publishing panel below. A transcript of our coverage is available after the break.
- Panel talked about Hasbro's various Transformers publishing endeavors. - Pop up book - very cool, lots of transforming pop-ups. Looked like a mixture of styles, some characters looked like Aligned continuity but others were very Generation 1. Lots and lots of characters being included, from Optimus and Megatron to lesser known guys like Defensor to Japanese guys like Greatshot and obscure guys like Scrounge. There will be a special edition with an additional Unicron popup. The tallest popup in the book is apparently Omega Surpreme, a mix of all his different designs. - Transformers Retribution - coming later this year, concludes the trilogy started with Exodus and continued with Exiles. Will flesh out the characters and feature some crazy action - it will also bring the Star Seekers and Thundertron into the action early on and bring back the Quintessons as a villain faction. - Transformers 30th Anniversary Collection - being compiled by Jim Sorenson, it will feature classic stories in their entirity from 30 years of Transformers comics, interviews with the creators and interviews with those involved with the comics now on how the older comics have influenced them. - The Covenant of Primus - this will publish some of the material from the Binder of Revelation. It will cover the origins of the 13, their rivalries and then will extend to cover the full history of all Cybertron's ages from Golden Age to present. They've said new characters will be introduced and others will be fleshed out more, for example, Ratchet's backstory will be explored. Releasing on 3 December, it was implied a standard edition might eventually also be released. |

Hasbro has announced what they have planned to celebrate the pre-30th Anniversary of Transformers at San Diego Comic Con 2013. The three special-edition Comic-Con toy sets run the gamut of the brand's evolution.
In preparation for the brand's 30th anniversary, one of the sets pays tribute to Transformers: Generation 1 - the original toy line that launched in 1984. The Transformers Titan Guardians action figure set features five classic characters: Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Grimlock. For an exclusive Hero Complex article, Jerry Jivoin, Hasbro's global brand marketing director for Transformers said "These are five of the greatest Transformers characters ever,". Jivoin said the figures feature the original G1 colors and sculpts, based on the 1980s designs. Another toy set - Shockwave's Laboratory - finds inspiration from today's popular animated series "Transformers: Prime – Beast Hunters" (currently airing on the Hub network) and features the evil Decepticon scientist and his cloning chamber, as well as a Commander Class Predaking figure. "We've changed things up a bit in this set, making its components a little different than other figures available in the mainline toys," Jivoin said. "For example, the Voyager-scale Shockwave in this set is in Prime styling but features G1 deco. Similarly the Commander scale Predaking features a translucent Energon-infused treatment." The third set is of course… Metroplex! The third Comic-Con item is the largest converting Transformers toy ever made, standing at more than two feet tall. The Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex converts from robot into a rolling battle platform, and to an Autobot city, inhabited by 12 miniature Autobot and Decepticon figures, as well as a Legends-scale Scamper figure. The toy is the first in the Transformers Thrilling 30 line, celebrating the franchise’s anniversary. The article also states we'll get something out of the upcoming Transformers: Prime – Beast Hunters "Predacon Rising" movie. Check out the images and more info at Hero Complex. You can also find our mirrored images, after the jump. |

TFcon’s expansion to a 2 day convention was originally made possible through merging with the Canadian 80s Toy Expo on the Sunday of the event. This was necessary due to many dealers completely selling out of merchandise on the Saturday requiring a dealer room restock if a 2nd day was to be added. This year is no different with the Sunday bringing us one of Canada’s largest dealer rooms for 80s toy related merchandise consisting of dealers selling Super Heroes (Marvel, DC etc), Star Wars (new and vintage), Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), G.I. Joe (vintage and modern), Masters of the Universe (vintage and classics), Wrestling, and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles.
TFcon, the world's largest fan-run Transformers convention will take place July 26th to 28th, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre. You can pre-register online for TFcon 2013 via this link for the exclusives VAN GUARDIAN and ROSWELL. TFcon 2013 features Canada's largest dealer room for Transformers merchandise, question and answer panels and autograph sessions with many special guests including Transformers voice actors Jack Angel the voice of Astrotrain, Breakdown, Cyclonus, Omega Supreme, Ramjet, Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus in the Generation 1 cartoon plus Dick Gautier the voice of Rodimus Prime, in addition to Venus Terzo the voice of Blackarachnia in Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and Transformers comic book writer James Roberts, Transformers comic book artists Livio Ramondelli, Casey Coller, Alex Milne and Josh Perez with more to be announced. The TFcon 2013 hotel block is still available. |

Uses the E-Hobby Minibot Gobots plus other unused catalog Minibot decos are being repurposed as Gobots. Andrew "Hydra" Hall is writing. - Shattered Glass Beast Wars wraps this year. The 2014 comic story will carry on but will feature a new setting, it will move things around a bit. - The 2014 30th anniversary story will take place 30 years after the end of the original Generation 1 cartoon. - This year's comic should have had "to be continued" on the final page. |
