Cartoon Network has revamped their Transformers Animated website. The revamp features new character profiles (including Arcee) with videos, toy images, a personality test, and a trivia test. If you answer all of the questions in Transformers Trivia, you can watch a preview of the next new Animated episode (Episode 36), Predacons Rising.

Several 2005 Boards members are reporting that they have received their confirmation paperwork for Botcon 2009. Watch those mailboxes if you have pre-registered, or signed up for a non-attendee package, for the paperwork that confirms your attendance, the timing of the tours, and if you are one of the lucky first 100 who will receive the special pin badge.

In quite possibly the biggest retail blunder in recent memory, the Target exclusive Transformers Animated figures, Purple Shockwave with Activators Bumblebee and Sunstorm with Activators Ratchet have had their price change again.
We reported on Saturday that the figures were on a sale or clearance at $4.99 and hordes of collectors rushed out and purchased countless amounts of these figures, both for their own collections and for members overseas. And, of course, some to scalp on eBay. Reports have come in today that Target has changed the price to $22.99, which many speculate was the original intended sale price, and that the $4.99 was an error. A very costly error obviously. The new sale price is a whopping $2 off the original price of $24.99. The original sale was to last through Saturday, April 11th. Was this a massive liquidation-esq move on Target to clear shelf space, or was it a serious blunder on Target's behalf? Who knows! Feel free to speculate, discuss, and offer advice to those who still wish to get these figures at their original $4.99 pricing from the weekend in our discussion thread by hitting "Discuss". |

The TFcon website has been updated with the 2009 Tentative Event Schedule which gives people an idea as to when the panels with guests Dan Gilvezan and Derrick J Wyatt will be as well as when attendees can pick up their Powered Commanders or get tickets to the convention if they have not already preregistered.
TFcon is April 25th-26th in Toronto and only 8 hours away from major US cities such as NYC, Philly and Chicago. American visitors crossing the border by land do not require a passport but need both of the following: a government-issued ID with photo, such as a driver’s license and proof of citizenship. If traveling by air you will require a valid passport. |

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Spoilers from Defiance #4 Issue #4 of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel - Defiance by IDW Publishing was released today in comic book shops. The final issue of this prequel story arc, telling the story of the start of the war between Autobots and Decepticons in the movie universe, provided some potential spoilers regarding the storyline that will be featured in the movie sequel. They include: - The AllSpark still has unknown origins, but its power created The Fallen's race. That race was born on what appears to be a terrestrial planet. - The Fallen's race determined that the AllSpark's power in not unlimited and must be replenished. - They discovered that energy from a sun can be harvested to replenish the AllSpark. While the AllSpark's power is replenished, the sun dies. - The AllSpark begins to change the race's terrestrial planet into a metallic planet. - The Allspark provides the first Transformers to the race, to act as their workers who will locate suns and build the needed sun harvesters. - The Fallen gets greedy and wants the power of the AllSpark for himself. He attempts to betray all of his "brothers" while another sun harvester is being built on another terrestrial planet. - The Fallen's brothers apparently are onto his plan. They have trapped themselves in sarcophagus and do the same with The Fallen. - Following the trap, a pyramid is being built around the sun harvester to hide it. - As seen with the previous movie-universe comics, Optimus Prime sent the AllSpark into space to avoid it falling into Megatron's hands. - The reason the AllSpark landed on Earth is because the AllSpark will detect and head towards sun harvesters. - In Defiance, Megatron is turned evil and forms the Decepticons by the influence of The Fallen (who is trapped in the recovered sarcophagus). Towards the end, The Fallen continues to push Megatron to locate the AllSpark which in turn would help him to locate the harvester. Combined with set images of pyramids, filming around the pyramids in Egypt, and coloring book art of a harvester in the pyramids, pieces of the Revenge of the Fallen plot are coming together before its release in theatres. |

Hey Transformers Animated fans! Being slightly over-looked because it's not a *NEW* item persay, Derrick J Wyatt wanted to remind us, and all of you, that the Transformers Animated - The Arrival Trade was released this week to your favorite comic book retailers. This trade is a collection of the Transformers Animated: The Arrival comics published by IDW Publishing last year.
If sales are strong, who knows. Maybe IDW will consider a Professor Princess Spotlight, the true dream of every Transformers Animated fan. |

TF08 has posted images of Transformers Revenge of The Fallen voyager class Megatron in box. Also shown is the bio:
Trapped in the dark, crushing depths of the sea. His mind inert in the grip of stasis lock. Megatron knew nothing of the desperate search mounted for his remains by the other decepticons. When he was finally brought back online, their efforts and sacrifice meant little to him. The only thing that had any meaning was revenge. He would have his vengeance against the human boy who cheated him of his prize. And he swore to celebrate over the smoking wreck of Optimus Prime. Click on the title bar to see more! |

TF08.net are showing off images of what might be a Generation 1 inspired repaint of Revenge of the Fallen Sideswipe. This recolor puts Sideswipe in a sharp red deco with some black on his robot mode that evokes his original design. It is not yet certain if this is an actual upcoming product or not, but I can say this for certain - this toy looks great in red! Click on the link above or the title of this story to see the images and judge for yourselves.
