Hot on trail of the last glimpse of the prototype we reported here, we get to see more images of the upcoming Masterpiece Star Saber! These images allow us to see more details of the figure and especially a closer look of Star Saber's front section that transforms into Saber. There's a possibility that the "Brain of Courage" - the smaller, Brainmaster robot - is in Saber's cockpit, but it's still a bit difficult to tell at this time. What do you think? Be sure to chime in on the ongoing discussion. See the images mirrored here after the jump and stay tuned to TFW2005.COM for all of your Masterpiece Transformers news!

Let the hunt begin for the next round of Transformers Generations figures! Earlier today it was reported by TFW2005 boards member alkamist that everyone's favorite shark, Sky-Byte, was found at a Target in Pinole, California! No sign of case mate Roadbuster (TFW2005 gallery here), but the Wrecker should be out in the wild too given this Sky-Byte sighting. If you're still on the fence with buying this Predacon or just want to see more, check out the TFW2005 gallery of Sky-Byte for several highly detailed images.

Third party group Iron Factory has released new images of their unofficial Slammer and Sixgun figures which are scaled for Generations Metroplex. Unlike the offerings from Before & After or TFC Toys, the Iron Factory releases are scaled to be Legends class sized, around the height of the Scamper included with Metroplex. In their alternate modes, the pair and their assortment of weapons can attach to Metroplex or each other for additional firepower. Check out the figures in glorious color attached to this post.

Unlicensed group Toyworld first teased their upcoming line of Dinobots homages way back in January of 2013. Flash forward to today where Toyworld has revealed their first two figures in the quickly crowded arena of unofficial Dinobot transformers, which will be their take on Snarl and Sludge.
Not just revealing their figures and upping the ante a bit, we also have a tease of these figures being able to combine! We only have one image of this, but it's very obviously shows off the combining gimmick of these Dinobots with "Snarl" and "Sludge" forming the combiner legs. No other information such as release date, price, or scale is available at this time. Check out the new batch of images after the jump and sound off with what you think! |

Several of our Illinois based members are reporting that they have found the Transformers Age of Extinction Generations Deluxe Lockdown figure at US retail. Lockdown comes in a Wave 2 revision case so for now, he's the only new figure in that assortment on shelves.
He's been spotted at Target stores all across Illinois, including Hillside, and Alonquin. So if you're in Illinois, be sure to keep an eye out for Lockdown and make this vicious hunter your prey! |

Snakas of Autobase Aichi reports that the September 2014 edition of TV-Boy magazine comes with a supplementary DVD - and on that DVD, Takara-Tomy have revealed the next four members of their Q Transfomers line - Age of Extinction's Lockdown and Crosshairs, and Generation 1's Prowl and Sideswipe.
All four sport cute, cartoony versions of their vehicle modes and dumpy little versions of their normal robot modes. Lockdown fans take note - while the Q Transformer Lockdown toy is in Age of Extinction colors, there's some art of the Animated deco overlaid on the Q Transformer version - would you like to see a redeco of other Lockdown toys sporting this deco, such as the Generations Deluxe? TV-Boy also suggests there may be some kind of animation to support this series - which could, possibly, be included with future issues of TV-Boy like the Transformers Go animation was. |

San Diego Comic Con has come and gone; we've returned back to homebase and are starting to get back in the flow of things. We've done up a gallery for the SDCC 2014 G1 Dinobots box set. This set comes with a pop-up-book style box that turns into a G1 Ark playset. A truly masterful execution I must say. The figures are G1 colored versions of recent Age of Extinction Dinobots, giving you Grimlock, Snarl, Slag, and Swoop in "proper" colors (those are their names, shut up).
Back when Hasbro sent out some early review copies of the AoE figures, I mentioned that I would probably skip the Dinobots, but would consider grabbing them if they got released in G1 decos. Well, they did, and I did. So good job on that Hasbro, I kept my end of the bargain. Upon seeing the set, my first complaint was "WTF no Sludge!" Well, they even addressed that, and made him available in this color scheme, separately through Amazon. So, I can't say jack. The box/playset is a masterpiece, the figures are properly colored and look solid as a team on a shelf. Mission accomplished. Check out some key shots after the break, and check the full gallery here: SDCC 2014 Dinobots Box Set with Ark - Full Gallery |

Transformers Colombia has shared images of more Transformers Angry Birds sets. This time they've got images of a pair of track sets which involve launching non-transforming Angry Birds Transformers vehicles up and off ramps into targets to create a hybrid of motor vehicle stunts and that classic Angry Birds action.
There's two sets so far - one is nicknamed a "Jenga" set and involves placing lots of blocks into a frame that looks like the Grimlock Angry Bird to send blocks - and Bad Piggies - flying. The second involves a large robot form Megatron with a chest target - the objective being to hit the chest target and make the Megatron explode! We think these sets just might also give another hint into what the gameplay of the Rovio developed game might be - perhaps the Transformers Angry Birds will be trading launching from slingshots for rolling out off of ramps? As always watch this space for more news. |

The Transformers Colombia Facebook group has updated with a slew of new images including the Big Bad Toy Store exclusive Autobots United set and Optimus Prime with trailer, Amazon exclusive Generation 1 Slog, and the Platinum Edition Breakout Battle - which confirms the name of "Rusty" Optimus Prime as Scrapyard Optimus Prime.
Also of note is that the red car who comes with the Optimus Prime with trailer set actually is not Stinger, but a Generation 1 themed Revenge of the Fallen Sideswipe redeco - fans have been demanding one of those for five years now, and cunning Hasbro found a way to bring it to us! |
